IT’S HOMECOMING — With Homecoming around the corner, Elena (Nina Dobrev) invites Liam (guest star Marco James) to attend a party at the corn maze with her. Instead of attending the homecoming festivities, Caroline (Candice Accola) is preoccupied after Stefan (Paul Wesley) shows up unexpectedly and needs her help cleaning up a mess created by Enzo (Michael Malarkey). Heeding Elena’s advice to be more social, Alaric (Matt Davis) reluctantly attends the party, but a devastating accident quickly leaves him and Jo (guest star Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) rushing to save lives. Elsewhere, Tyler (Michael Trevino) finds himself in a dangerous position when his werewolf curse is put to the test, and an emotionally embattled Stefan comes clean to Caroline about his intent to move on from Mystic Falls. Lastly, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) make an important discovery that affects their quest to get back home. Leslie Libman directed the episode written by Brett Matthews (#605). Original airdate 10/30/2014.

I'm going to try to remember to update these threads with my thoughts after an episode airs so we can have a good discussion about each episode here. My favorite parts of this episode were when Bonnie sends Damon back. The way she jerked him around with her power, I'd say BonBon has become even more powerful than she was before. I was laso happy to hear her say she wouldn't rather be there with anyone else but Damon. She's come a long way in her Damon appreciation! I wonder if Damon was able to heal her. Did he actually get a bite on her?
My other favorite part was Defan. When Stefan touches Damon's shoulder like he's afraid he isn't real, that got to me and then the hug...poor Stefan just didn't know how to live without his big bro. He really was lost. I hope he continues to appreciate Damon now that he's back in a way he never did before.

This episode was bad for me i'm leaning towards mixed more than bad though.
Tyler - His little story is just rehashing season 2. If I kill i become wolf thing was great in season but that was because in season 2 the show was better overall. Now it just bored me. The twist of her killing him so tyler was saved was kind of cool but I know we'll see this again as it's lazy and obvious (what the show became in season 5)
Damon & Bonnie - Oh great Damon the serial killer comes back to life yet Bonnie the person who ALWAYS scarifies does not. I like Damon so dont take this as Damon hate but if one of them could come back I'd rather is was witch bonnie. But noooo as I've mentioned the writers hate bonnie it feels so guess who gets left alone with a murderer? That's right! Bonnie!! It's beyond stupid. I can predict next few episodes :
Delena/Stelena triangle crap begins again Thanks to Memory wipe forced Delena drama that could be solved in like 2 seconds if Alaric just undid it Bonnie gets hurt by the killer shes stuck with just to show shes always going to be tortured now forever
Stupid choice as it just further add the badd elements of TVD and not trying to be better
Now Damon coming back did give line of the episode though the "it's not I see dead people good" LOL that was pretty good.
side note : FREE ENZO ALREADY!
But yeah some stuff was fun but the bad made it hard to get through.

I can predict next few episodes : I wonder if her personal schedule has anything to do with them leaving her in the AU a little while longer. Maybe she couldn't film as many episodes due to other career obligations so they started to write the story in that direction so she wouldn't have to film all the time? I saw in one of Ian's interviews he said each episode takes 9-10 days to film. I just always wonder (with any show) how much of the show is based on the writers or other outside forces that they have to work around - like personal relationships could be another example.
