I feel the same way about this Enzo stuff. It's a total waste of a plot. And a waste of an interesting character. He's supposed to be this friend of Damon, but he hasn't had barely one scene with Damon since he got back! And this stupid obsession with Stefan and Sarah is not only boring, but illogical, and just useless to this plot. Its like they reeeeally want Enzo to be a villain, but they just couldn't think of anything for him to do to make him really threatening. It's almost embarrassing how juvenile this storyline is. It feels like something a teenage would write if they were trying to come up with the plot for a bad romance novel lol. The guy starts flirting with the girl for revenge, but OH NO, he starts to fall for her instead! What will happen???!!! ..... It's just sad lol. Yeah its almost like Enzo is in his own world now, he's got this plot all to himself and it feels alien from the show. Unfortunately Matt's dragged along with him and I still didn't get why he sent Matt out as 'bait' to test Sarah. Wouldn't he commence with his plot anyways? Though I guess that was just for us to get a look at Sarah's character. Also you're right! I guess we are going to be in for him falling for Sarah. Don't really get how this is some form of revenge when he could have killed her and be done with it if he wanted to hit home or tell Damon about the secret. Instead he'll insert himself in her life. It just seems obvious that he'll eventually grow to like/love her as a person. Anyways I'm mainly hoping this plot leads to more Salvatore history. Perhaps Sarah has a feel old ancestry journals or something. That would be a better storyline. Enzo starts this whole thing to get under Stefan's skin, basically toying with the fact that since Sarah knows and trusts Enzo now, he could do anything to her at any moment BUT, Enzo actually falls for her and gets conflicted about going through with his plan to turn her or harm her. I think she will be a great new addition, I liked her character. I'm hoping she actually ends up with Matt though. He needs a little normalcy.

That reminds me a bit too much of how Damon/Elena's relationship was at the very beginning lol. I hope there's some spin on it that we didn't see coming to keep things interesting. Also I'm with you about Matt and Sarah! Very normal and away from supernatural craziness. Enzo and Sarah as I mentioned will be too similar to this show's start with Damon, Elena, and Stefan. Girl meets cool, mysterious, hot guy. They hang out, girl feels guy is keeping something from her, finds out (or gets told in Enzo's case knowing him lol) that he's a vampire, girl gets a bit freaked out etc. Though what would be funny, for all we know, Sarah may wind up being totally crazy about vampires. Have all these theories that maybe she has vampire ancestors or something etc. lol. Who knows, but it'd certainly make an intersting twist to what we've already gotten before in show.

Here's another thing that annoyed me about Liv. When she got to the Salvatore house, she never stopped to think why Kai was not only working with Damon, but also Jeremy and Elena. The house was all decorated and everything. Ugh. She was on a mission and didn't stop to ask questions, lol.

The house was all decorated and everything. Ugh. She was on a mission and didn't stop to ask questions, lol. I know it's a bit out of place but I found myself laughing at that moment with Jeremy and Kai and the blood coming from him courtesy of an attack from Liv. Some things are just comical from the hilarity of it all. As you said, Kai was simply sitting to himself, concentrating on a spell with Jeremy in the room with him, lying on a chair.
In this moment Kai wasn't out in town being destructive, or an unnecessary dick. Just like Kai did when he left the AU world and went straight for Liv, if he wanted to off her, it's obvious he would be the one at her door, not the other way around.
The way that whole thing played out was comical and weird to me. She had to wonder why she was being attacked by the gang and why they were protecting Kai when a few episodes ago, they were helping to get rid of him.
The thing she did with the eye thing was very cool yet at the same time why wouldn't she spy for more than five seconds to figure out what was going on.
I could imagine a better scenario where let's say skip to Kai sending the trio into the AU, cue the discovery that they faze through the objects and can't be seen, then we have Kai saying that it's hard for him to make three people corporeal in the AU. This is where Liv could have come in with a, 'What if you had two witches?'
She'd make her appearance and state how she would help them get Bonnie (make a mention at how she felt bad about having to bail on the last attempt and wanted to make it up to them). 'Even if it means working with him.' she would remark at Kai. And then make her stance clear that once she was done helping them get Bonnie that she would want to settle things with Kai.
During the rescue Bonnie mission with Damon, Elena, and Jeremy. We'd get moments of Kai and Liv interacting, Liv of course still being upset and heated about what happened to her brother. But like with Damon and Elena she'd also get to experience the merge changes in Kai, cue her acknowledging what her father said as really being true now that she's seen it first hand.
But fastforward and by the end of the episode, you have Kai referring back to her earlier request to 'settle things' and then we can have some growth with Liv, acknowledging the merge and how Luke is a part of him and she wouldn't want to completely erase the last trace of her brother.
And as you can see, I had no idea how Tyler would have fit into all this lol. But you can sort of see where I felt the writers could have gone with this to the point it just didn't come off comical as I mentioned. I'm not sure if I'd call it 'OOC' but it felt odd to see Liv's character act so rashly when we've seen how calm she can be in dire situations (even when it came to talking about her own death and how casually she'd tell Tyler that Luke would win easily and she'd die). Though I guess it also helped that she had her brother by her side, always there to give her advice/support and this is the first instance in her life where he's not there by her side.

I just remembered 2 things that I thought were funny in this episode regarding Elena. The first was when she and Damon had "the talk" early on about the kiss. She starts by saying that they never talked about how HE kissed her and then [Damon says] she kissed him back. Um, what kiss scene were you guys a part of cause I'm pretty sure Elena decided 'life's too short' and SHE went in for the kiss. Just sayin. And speaking of things that could have been written better with that whole Liv/Kai scene, when Kai decides to only take Jeremy back to the AU and Damon leaves the room - whoa whoa whoa, then Elena leaves the room too? So, you just sent your brother to an AU with a half weakened pseudo-psycho warloc, to save his suicidal girlfriend aannd, you leave the room? Did no one think that was a bad idea? He could have been stuck there if something went wrong (now that I think about it, why didn't he get stuck cause Kai didn't have enough strength to pull him back to reality). Had she stayed a bit, she could have cut off Liv as she came storming in the room, but I digress. Not complaining cause I did get to see Damon blow Liv away with the old liquor down the fireplace trick.

Haha yeah I think it was just a plot point to have Damon and Elena 'trapped' and away from Liv. Otherwise two vamps would have stopped her easily, Kai wouldn't be damaged and the suspense of him being weaked and trapped and therefore risk of Jeremy being stuck forever would be gone. Though looking at it not from a writer's point of view, I guess they didn't really think anything too crazy would happen while they were gone for a few minutes to take a breather with intentions to come back lol. As for that part you mentioned of the kiss, yeah I was confused on that part to. Unless when she kissed him she didn't think he'd kiss her back (memories, the speech of her being better off without him etc.) but yeah that was weird wording lol. Edit: Oops nevermind. I just realized Elena could be referring to the sex scene they had. In that one, after her speech, Damon goes in to kiss her first before Elena throws her arms around him and they go to the bed.

I thought they might have done several different versions of the kiss but then chose the one where she kissed him but forgot to change around what she said.

That feels like the best explanation. Reminds of those old days when we could spot scenes/dialogues that were shown in the advertising promo but come air time said scene would be deleted.

It's also possible that Elena was being coy when she said that, trying to play it off as though she hadn't been the one to initiate it. And he said she kissed him back to make it clear he wasn't going o let her get away with pretending she didn't have a hand in it. I'm probably reaching for meaning a little too much lol, cause if that was their intent then it was way too subtle. But its enough of an explanation for me I guess lol.

My first thought was that she was just trying to be cute about it, so it may very well be that way, like missmystic said.
