What a very sweet episode. It was mellow but I think everything was done really well. I thought all of the Elena/Jeremy moments were great. We haven't seen them just "be" in so long - maybe ever, so it was nice to see them just talk and be brother and sister for once. The only thing that surprised me and I didn't see coming was Jeremy leaving to be a vampire hunter. They played up that art school thing so well that I didn't give it a second thought. I like it though. It leaves his storyline open for 'more' when he does make his guest appearances. Not just popping in to say hi, he could actually come back to do something or report some sort of news about a new big bad. Enzo is just ridiculous and I'm not going to waste too much time on him. I just have not read or heard anyone anywhere saying they are enjoying him and his SL right now. I really hope they have a plan that turns out to make this good, otherwise I just can't. And poor Matt! Ugh. My heart hurt for him. He's human and the pain he must have been in. Just awful. Enzo, I used to love you but now you just suck. It was nice to see Delena just working together and knowing they are a happy couple - without having to watch any angst or them being confused about what they are. I knew Liz was going to die this episode because I read the Plec answers to the fans and she said this episode was her favorite cry moment so far - I knew that couldn't just mean saying goodbye to Jer Bear. I love that Damon got to be with Liz throughout her last day. Their moments were so special and sweet. Damon always amazes me because he does these heartfelt and selfless things when no one is watching and he won't brag about them. They are his moments between he and the person he is sharing them with. It is beautiful. They were best friends. It's great to hear someone say that about Damon. Him talking about his mother - the missed eulogy, the flowers on the grave - awe, can't wait to dive deeper into what became of her. I almost lost it last time when I thought Care wouldn't get to say goodbye to her mom and they threw me for a loop - I had no idea she wouldn't make it back from the cabin in time and I was done in that moment that I realized that. This is going to be really tough for her and one more thing that Caroline will blame herself for in regards to her mother dying - not being there on her last day. She was so concerned with distracting herself from reality and setting up the cabin perfectly that she didn't realize that her mom would have just wanted to be with her. But that memory! It was so great. I love that they chose that one because Caroline got to replay that final conversation with her mom, and it could have been used in that present day moment. Caroline saying she's not ready and her mom letting her go and saying 'you are'. Wow. Oh, I almost forgot about Steroline. Bravo for them, they finally went for it. It was sweet and it made me smile Caroline has been through so much - with just about every guy to grace the TVD screen, and we had to ease the viewers out of Stelena, so I hope they are considered endgame now.

Well believe it or not some Stelenas think that now that they kissed they will realize they were better as friends and say no more and go back to just being friends...lol Denial is more than a river in Egypt as they say...

Anyone else found it funny when Stefan called Tyler and we're informed that he needs to get back in town? lol. The writers always conveniently have Tyler leave town when they don't know what to do with him. Just because Liv wasn't in the picture (or Kai. Hm where is he off to anyways? haha) doesn't mean Tyler has to suddenly disappear as if his character always revolves around his love interests. He's still a part of the gang and if he's done with the Liv arc then I'd like to see him back in town, hanging out with Matt again.
He'd have a thing or two to say to Enzo and it'd be nice if someone was actually aware of Matt being pulled around like a puppet on strings by Enzo instead of this charade continuing on. Since Tyler found something up with the Nadia/Matt situation, this shouldn't be too far out of the realm of possibility for Tyler's character.

Where the heck does Tyler disappear to all the time? He could have just not been in the episode and not mentioned and I would have noticed less. It's like, mentioning he's out of town alerts me to the fact that he is not there! Assuming he's on next weeks episode for the funeral, I would have been none the wiser. IMO, him being gone garners no explanation unless there is a funeral or something big going on. Yeah, Matt definitely needs someone on his side to back him up and I don't understand why he is telling no one. Is it because he tried to kill Enzo Tripp style and he feels like Enzo will rat him out to Damon? So what?! Who hasn't tried to kill anyone close to someone else on this show? Jer is gone now, Matt has to tell someone to get Enzo off his back. But of course if it were that easy, Enzo's stupid arc would have no momentum.

Don't think I glimpsed him in the promo but after dedicating a scene to Stefan informing Tyler to come back, he should be present for next episode's funeral.
Also you're right about Enzo's arc. Since Matt is practically free to go on about his life aside from when Enzo enforces his next part of his plan, it'd be all too easy for him to text someone and have Stefan/Damon/Elena/Caroline literally everyone on Enzo's tail. Despite the friend status, even Damon would not take lightly to Enzo messing with the Salvatore descendant.

Yeah, I think Damon would think it were ridiculous too which is why I think the whole thing is dumb. No one would back Enzo on this, they would all stand behind Matt and tell Enzo to get a life or get out of town.

Next episode's synopsis sounds like Tyler and Matt might be planning to get out of town. I hope Matt tells someone about what Enzo is doing and not just Tyler because he really needs another supernatural working for him against Enzo.

I really liked this episode it was very well done. The ending with Young Liz great use of light to hide the effects so she looked younger not just bad cgi like some ageing effects (example Professor x at the end of xmen origins wolverine) This episode made realise a few things in general. 1) Caripper (Caroline + Stefan aka the ripper i made my own ship name) is not bad just because it's against my Enzoline in fact they seemed like a great couple even if not together as one like Stefan fixing things and Caroline been all Caroline gave me a leo + piper from charmed vibe I like. 2) Damon I realise why the characters bad mouth him and Delena. It's just like spike. Look we know damon has changed, Elena knows he's changed but when he's around the others due to his reputation and as Elena said early seasons "he'd rather be hated than loved" he puts up the walls as in this episode a load he made a joke about killing Jeremy again + laughed off all those files of people he killed. He likes the "bad boy" rep so trys to keep it and THAT is why the others cant see his change as well as he threatens them or laughs off his old ways. I am 100% okay with that as it makes sense for his character. This episode I felt got him. On a different note "You dont see me? move to your left a bit" Matt moves and is hit by car. That was so hilarious. I like matt he's great but come on that was pretty awesome of Enzo like hilariously awesome. Great scene that I'd put up there comedy and cool wise witrh hulk punching thor randomly in 1st Avengers. But yeah great solid episode! I am loving this season again! All episode too I thought "Great send off for Jeremy ...... awww he's not coming back" then the bus scene made me go "YAY HE CAN COME BACK!" Jeremy vampire hunter either a) spin off or b) i want him to go to new Orleans as I want to see him there so much lol This is what I was talking about in past. If focus is characters not just ships, like we had Caripper but it furthered her story with her mother and felt natural. Elena is used as Elena i.e she had great scenes with Jeremy ect and was not just a plot device or love interest and did not annoy me, Enzo/Matt are fun together , great choice of scenes ect,... it's a great episode if I had any complaint it's A) Damon + Stefans mother was mentioned waaay too much, shes coming in to the show isn't she? its too obvious and B) Elena's parents accident may be supernatural, It felt like sandman killed uncle ben in spiderman 3. Like i'm guessing either Mother Salvatore or Enzo were the one who caused it ... but I dont know. Even those nitpicks / problems dont stop it just been fun and great episode.
