That's the first time ever, that I talk with others about TVD, so possibly I'll write something, what has been discussed here already. Sorry, if that happens, but the forum is too big to read everything before I ask my question.
Well, I have the impression, that in season 6 all main characters besides Bonnie, Damon and Caroline (I'm worried it happens to her too after Liz dies) became unsympathetic.
1. Stefan
- gave up on Damon and Bonnie after only 1-2 months and then was lying to everyone, that he is still researching.
- treats Caroline like cr@p. He ignored her calls over and over again. After she found out, that he was lying to them, he told her and Enzo "I'm happy and only that matters". But when Ivy got turned into a vampire he suddenly remembered Caroline, brought Ivy to her without a warning and ignored her calls for help. That as selfish as it gets.
- has a relationship with Ivy based on lies and only on lies, she has no idea, who he is. After Enzo turned her into a vampire, Stefan didn't even bother to check, if she is really dead and compelled his boss to bury her alive. When she returned he immediately dumped her, wanted Alaric to compel her to go away and left Caroline alone with her. The confused Ivy escaped and got killed by Tripp and Stefan couldn't care less.
- he turned Enzo in to Tripp despite Enzo just saved his life from Tripp's man.
2. Elena
- didn't have the basic decency to remember her dead boyfriend and deliberately chose to turn him into a monster in her head out of repulsive selfishness (refusing to grieve). She "didn't see an end to the pain" after only 4 months.
- In past seasons she claimed, that she cannot live without Jeremy, but now she couldn't care less about him.
3. Alaric
- Damon is his best friend and Damon & Bonnie saved him from getting sucked into oblivion, but he doesn't try to find a way to get them back.
- makes Elena hate Damon and doesn't show any regret for destroying their relationship, when Damon returns
- cares about Jo (a woman he just met) and her sister Liv more than about Bonnie and saving Mystic Falls from the psychopathic witch Kai.
- punches Damon for compelling him to help Bonnie, but never apologizes to Damon for compelling Elena.
4. Tyler
- both Bonnie and Damon saved his life more than once and they died to bring him back from the death, but he doesn't bother to try to find a way to get them back.
- cares about Liv (a woman he dated a few times) more than about Bonnie and saving Mystic Falls from Kai.
5. Jeremy
- his relationship with Damon is complicated, but Bonnie is his girlfriend and he doesn't try to find a way to get her back.
- he still doesn't care, when he knows for sure, that Bonnie is alive and trapped in 1994 with a psychopath.
6. Matt
- his relationship with Damon is complicated, but he doesn't care about bringing back Bonnie, either.
- supported and admires the genocidal maniac Tripp, despite almost all his friends are supernaturals and Tripp wanted to kill Liz, the only other human in their group.
7. Enzo
- his jealousy of Stefan and wish to "destroy every bit of happiness in his life" is pathetic.
