Ok, so I know this show is like the completely opposite of TVD haha. BUT ... It's fantastic, in my opinion, and I love it, and I thought I'd see if anyone else here loves it too? Or, in case someone might be interested in it but didn't know about it for some reason, I thought I'd bring it to people's attention. If you like period pieces, and great writing, and wonderfully complex characters, and romance, and drama, and history ... this show is just amazing. Anyone who hasn't tried it, should. And anyone who has, I'm dying to talk about it so come talk to me! haha :-)

I started to watch because everyone I know that watches says it is fantastic - but I was trying to multitask when I started the first couple of episodes and felt like I needed to pay attention, lol. So I haven't gotten back into it yet, but I still want to!

I started to watch because everyone I know that watches says it is fantastic - but I was trying to multitask when I started the first couple of episodes and felt like I needed to pay attention, lol. So I haven't gotten back into it yet, but I still want to! I love it so much. I wasn't sure at first how I was going to feel, because it seemed like the candidates for romance were not that good. But boy was I wrong! They developed a totally compelling and fantastic romance and I was completely addicted lol. But there's so much more than that too. I mean I really love period pieces, so that is a big draw. I love Jane Austen, and even though this is later in history, it still sometimes has a little of that feel to me. But also ALL the characters are wonderful. I especially love the downstairs staff. There are so many great relationships, and great dialog, and just good story telling. I can't wait to hear what you think when you get further into it!
