I just have to say...Bonenzo was sizzling...I have to admit...this really could work. I especially liked Enzo's expression like, confusion, when he realized he was digging what Bonnie was doing. Two hot available characters. Why not? I think these two have finally found a forever home...LOL

I'm actually really digging this couple right now. Enzo has always been one of my favorites and they've done nothing with him, even made him boring, or worse, unlikeable, but this, this could really work. I posted in Anti-Bamon some of my thoughts on Bamon vs Bonenzo and how I see it. Because it is Anti-Bamon I put it there, but I give some of my reasons for why I think these two could be great together.

I was a bit apprehension of Bonnie and Enzo getting together at first (at the time of spoilers over Bonnie's love interest, even if Alaric would be out there since he has been the teacher/father figure, at least there was history with them that we could draw from) because it felt so out there. Enzo's popular ship has always been Caroline and he had numerous scenes with her, whereas with Bonnie I couldn't even remember if they ever did interact.
Since this happened in a flash forward, I was hoping that the writers would start showing us some Bonnie and Enzo scenes (this would mean dropping all this Bamon and Bonnie being glued to the hip to only Damon) and this is exactly what the writers have done. And surprisingly I found myself liking the interactions. I also liked Beremy but it was more of a 'cute/okay' type of ship. Bonnie and Enzo just ooze a bit more 'sexy' to it and their banter is actually entertaining because it leans more toward teasing jabs at each other with a light hearted atmosphere, where Bamon's 'banter' is just them flat out arguing and being upset over some with Elena or some other drama/problem. So this felt like a breath of fresh air.
And it's certainly making both of these two characters as individuals more likeable. Enzo was getting a bit boring and annoying with the whole Stefan revenge/Sarah stuff, then they dropped it but then we had to suffer through this weird Lily and Enzo family/lover dynamic. And Bonnie has some pretty good/hilarious lines when interacting with Enzo that actually makes me laugh and enjoy the character compared to sighing and rolling my eyes. Enzo feels like just the guy Bonnie needs to lighten up and let loose so I look forward to more scenes from them, especially what leads up to feelings surfacing, their first kiss etc.

I agree with all of this. I was definitely one of the people who liked the sparks between Enzo and Caroline. I was disappointed that they chose to ignore this in favor of Steroline, because I really feel nothing for Steroline at all. So when the spoiler about Bonnie and Enzo happened, it was hard to picture.
But like you said, they are actually making it work. That scene at the party between them was sizzling. First of all, it was sort of sweet of her to even bother helping Enzo make Lily jealous in the first place, and I liked that she was just taking a moment to do something nice for someone for no reason. But then they both looked so genuinely surprised by the interaction ... you could totally see that they both felt something, and neither of them really knew what to do with it. Enzo, as Doppel mentioned, looked almost annoyed with himself for liking it, because he thought it wasn't real. But Bonnie's little smile there afterwards made it clear that she felt it too, and she liked it. It was so simple, but really enjoyable development wise. I'm really looking forward to more interactions with them. I want to see how this story evolved into what we saw in the flash-forward :-)

Yeah it could really be interesting and there's no baggage really to cause a problem with this pairing so it will be fun to see how it develops and if it makes these two more watchable and exciting.

Did anyone else notice the look Bonnie gave Enzo, like, "Hey Dummy why don't you look over here instead of at that old woman who's taken already," kind of look. I almost busted out laughing. They really are kind of fun to watch happen, I have to admit. I find them mildly amusing. That's all I'll give Bonenzo so far, but it's worth watching and seeing where it goes. I do think they bring out the best in their characters when they interact and it doesn't seem contrived to me like Damon/Bonnie's friendship did.
