Has anyone else started watching this show? I decided to watch it a couple of weeks ago and I really like it. The time traveling aspect of it is really interesting. I guess it isn't doing fantastic in the ratings but it's kind of a sleeper I think. It is just now starting to ramp up into a richer story with more character development rather than just adventure. I especially like episode 9 with Bonnie and Clyde and the surprising budding romance of Wyatt and Lucy (spoiler there I guess). I ship those two big time. I don't know where it will go, but that romantic interaction exponentially increased my interest in the show. Now will it survive the ratings axe? Who knows, but it's a fun little show to enjoy on your holiday break this year. I recommend it, especially if you enjoy historical references and don't stop after the first episode which has to set up the story and premise of time travel and isn't the best. Give it a chance and you just might like it. I personally enjoy the historical aspect and the sets and wardrobe that have to go with it. Every episode I get to see a new era in time and I really like that. They even touch upon cultural issues of the time periods such as attitudes toward women and people of color so they definitely don't miss giving me the 'feel' of the times they are traveling in, something a lot of shows, including the vampire diaries, completely ignore.

I watched the first few episodes and have been meaning to get back to it, and then the rest of the winter premieres happened, lol. I mainly wanted to keep going because I wanted to see if that romance would happen - so glad it did! I thought they had great chemistry from the beginning. And he's just so darned handsome, I found myself just staring at the tv, losing the plot that was actually happening, haha. I'll def jump back on - I do love historical shows, if not just for the wardrobe and acting, I always feel like I learn something or refresh my memory with the history. What I do hate though, is falling in love with the "bubble shows" only to have them not come back. I seem to always pick those - there were like 5 shows I watched last year that didn't come back and were actually really good. Oh well, such is television.

I don't know if it will survive but I'm enjoying it now any way. Too bad they didn't get the romance started sooner but I see why they waited. It would have been rushed and cliche and in this way it comes about in a more organic way that seems real and completely possible and yeah his hotness doesn't hurt either...hehe I watch so many shows now that it isn't funny. I can't even keep up with them all and none of them have really got me going like TVD did, once upon a time. Outlander is the closest right now. This one probably has the potential but it may not make it too much farther. |

It's really just ramping up and it could really turn into another surprise favorite if they'd just give it some more time. I guess we'll see.
