Officiall Description
"Bonnie (Kat Graham) believes her recurring dreams about Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) coffins will tell her how he can be killed. The dreams also lead Bonnie to a reunion with her mother, Abby (guest star Persia White, 'Girlfriends'), whom Bonnie hasn't seen for 15 years. At Abby's remote farmhouse, Bonnie and Elena (Nina Dobrev) meet Jamie (guest star Robert Ri'chard, 'One on One'), the young man Abby took in years earlier. Bonnie's sudden appearance catches Abby off-guard, but she does her best to explain the past. Tyler (Michael Trevino) turns to an unexpected ally in his quest to regain his free will. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is intrigued by Alaric's (Matt Davis) new friend, Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto), and Klaus continues his bitter negotiations with Stefan (Paul Wesley) over control of the coffins containing his family members."

So this is a Bonnie and Elena centered episode which I love!!! Why? because I love Bonnie and I love Bonnie and Elena's friendship! I'm excited to meet her mom!!! So excited! I love Persia White too! I think she was THE perfect choice if it wasn't Lisa Bonet!
Also another thing that I'm looking forward to seeing and how it plays out but and kinda like WTH is the DR. that Alaric obviously likes but Damon is intrigued by? How is that? HMMMM!

So this is a Bonnie and Elena centered episode which I love!!! Why? because I love Bonnie and I love Bonnie and Elena's friendship! I'm excited to meet her mom!!! So excited! I love Persia White too! Funny too because Meredith in the books --(possibly going to be this Mary/Dr. Fell in the show)-- was like that. Damon was-- intrigued and-- frightened? Maybe frightened isn't the right word.. but had this certain fear/respect for her, always seemed to, for some reason, seem intimidated by her. Throughout the books, you never know why-- until you later find out that she's a vampire hunter--- who is also PART vampire.
Another thing that could be-- she's supposed to be Dr. Fell... and well, the last time we saw a fell, wasn't he shooting Damon with wooden bullets in the first season? |

Wonder if Logan was her Brother or Cousin or something. And Tobias Fell which was the head of the history Department in Mystic Falls was hung from a tree when the Tomb Vampire Ghost came back into town lol

Hopefully they aren't going to go the way of the Damon hookup again, since he's supposedly gonna back off on Elena. This time I think Elena would get mighty jealous and ticked off. If marshmallows can make her jealous...especially since it was her idea for Damon to distract Rebekah in the first place...  |

Hopefully they aren't going to go the way of the Damon hookup again, since he's supposedly gonna back off on Elena. This time I think Elena would get mighty jealous and ticked off. If marshmallows can make her jealous...especially since it was her idea for Damon to distract Rebekah in the first place... It's kind of funny because I thought she was supposed to be an Alaric love interest, but here they call her a friend of his. |

I wouldn't say Damon was frightened of Meredith in the books, but wary, yes, intrigued and wary would be a good word for it because of her vampire hunter background. And the last Fell was Tobias Fell the tree hanger so he didn't last long. I'm not sure this Mary is supposed to be Meredith because obviously she's not a close friend of Elena's. Perhaps in the very loosest sense she might be characterized after Meredith if she turns out to be a vampire hunter. I read somewhere that they originally wanted to do a show spinoff of the vampire hunters. I wonder if they still do. |

As far as the guy hung in the tree-- I forgot about him. Probably because that's pretty much we ever saw of him so I have my doubts whether Damon would ever remember or care about the recent incident. Getting shot over and over by wooden bullets--- might still stick out in his mind. 
Beyond this, I really don't think Meredith would be brought in as a close friend of Elena's-- with what we've seen so far, it wouldn't make much sense. It doesn't mean anything-- after all, Caroline wasn't exactly a friend of Elena's in the books, was she? Nor is her show self anything like her book counterpart. I don't see why they'd bring in a character who-- btw, they've dropped multiple hints would be sticking around-- and is going to be an Alaric love interest-- and is named Mary, if they didn't plan on making her into Meredith. And if she does end up sticking around, her and Elena could eventually form a close bond.
Lol, I remember reading that FOREVER ago. (about the spin-off show) It was going to be set in the TVD world, but they didn't think it would include any of our characters... however, after TSC came about, that idea got put on the backburner according to KW.
Anyways, regarding the description referring to Dr. Fell as Alaric's friend--- well, yeah. It's not like they are going to put, "Damon is intrigued by Alaric's new love interest." And honestly, I doubt that they will be romantic/a pairing right from the start...

Too lazy to actually find it in the book, but this is from the wiki about Meredith.
She is also the only human female in the entire novel series that seems to be completely unfazed by Damon Salvatore and the only person that Damon admits to being afraid of and finding extremely terrifying and scary.
Damon admits to finding Meredith to be "a very scary person" and seems to be incapable of making rude remarks towards her when being face-to-face but only when they're facing away from one another. When he does so, Meredith makes a comment and Damon does not respond.

Hmmm...I didn't get the impression he was 'afraid' or her, perse. I suppose that could be open to interpretation. I did search through a couple of my online books looking for anything that seemed to indicate he was afraid of her and didn't find anything much. Some of what he said as always was very tongue in cheek, for instance he referred to her as the 'fearsome' Meredith, but to me that seemed almost more like sarcasm which he was always very good at.
The encounter where he discovered she was a vampire hunter for instance...he was human at the time and felt at more of a disadvantage than he did as a vampire, so that came across, but it didn't seem like fear to me and he did take her on though neither one of them really wanted to fight the other and they had this little banter thing going which seemed like if he was really afraid of her wouldn't be the case.
I would say he felt of any of them she would be the only one that would give him a run for his money perhaps if he let his guard down, which he didn't. But Damon always had that air of self confidence that I don't think ever faultered. That's my interpretation of it.
In any case if this Mary is supposed to be a shadow of Meredith, it would be a new refreshing addition to the show for sure.
