I'm not sure what you're asking. It's 1912 in the clip. They were turned in 1864 and apparently hadn't seen each other since then when Damon asked Lexi to help him 48 years earlier. I always figured being turned and Lexi starting to help Stefan was in the same year since the Civil War was ongoing. She found him feeding off wounded soldiers. The Civil War ended in 1865.

I was just wondering if Lexi had already started conditioning Stefan at that time where he and Damon had that conversation. And since Stefan said that he wasn't like that anymore I guess it's assumed that she has been working on him since they met earlier. But yeah it's not really a biggie it's kind of hard to tell things by a single clip anyways  |

I think she had started working on him or planned to start since as soon as she saw he was a ripper she set out to fix him. Damon had already told him he was leaving at that point. It was the same day as far as it seemed to me, same dead girls lying around when he brought Lexi home to stay with him because she had nowhere to stay.

Yeah that makes sense. Wonder if we'll see her in that flashback at all.
Also going back to the first pic in the beginning of the thread where it shows Damon holding a flame on the computer monitor thing, I'm thinking he's about to burn down the new ash tree. I wonder if that takes place in 3x18 as well.

Blah...everything I keep reading about 3x18 keeps talking about a Stelena 'moment.' Sure why not have a moment while Damon is being freaking tortured.  Whatever they do it better NOT keep being this crap they've been doing, that's all I've got to say. But what I don't get is how the word 'heartbreaking' can mean breakthrough to anyone: Finally, there are a group of photos showing Elena and Stefan. This episode is supposed to feature "a heartbreaking moment" for the two, and it looks like this Vampire Diaries episode isn't going to disappoint. While some fans have been waiting for Damon and Elena to get together, others are hoping Elena gets back with Stefan. No breakthrough!  Doesn't Stelena know how to DIE? Even if they aren't perma-dead.. don't they know how to chill in the freezer for a while? A LONG while?  The only heartbreaking moment I want to see between the two of them is Stefan telling Elena that he's gay for Klaus! ;D |

Though I don't think we have to worry too much about this moment. It seems as if it gets interrupted by a phone call/Caroline judging by the pics and whatever happens to Damon is probably going to overshadow it. I'm hoping that whatever moment they have they get interrupted by someone informing them of Damon's condition and Elena just rushes out to go see Damon and then she's by his side. Also another part of me hopes that Stefan is telling her that he knows how she feels about Damon and that he's stepping out of the way for her to go sort her feelings out. I mean whatever Stefan is saying to her she looks really surprised in the pictures |
