No breakthrough! Doesn't Stelena know how to DIE? Even if they aren't perma-dead.. don't they know how to chill in the freezer for a while? A LONG while? I loved the new avi and sig!!! The only heartbreaking moment I want to see between the two of them is Stefan telling Elena that he's gay for Klaus! ;D

Since they want to please all the fans all the time why not?

I beat you to it in the main thread 4 hours ago. Once again, great minds think alike.

I'd also like to add that I'm glad that this SE moment is happening in 3x18 and not 3x22. It was what I was saying from the beginning SE does need closure and I want all of that out of the way now so that the finale can be left to DE. Besides that we also have the rain scene in 3x20 and the Stefan sad scene coming up so whatever happens between S and E in 3x18 doesn't appear to be some miraculous triumph that puts them back in boyfriend and girlfriend status.

I do believe Matt Davis spoiled that Meredith dies in that panel. He said she WAS fun to work with. He used past tense. That's one thing I noticed was the tenses of the way they said things was interesting. That one stuck out to me in particular. Did anyone else catch anything interesting from what they said that might have been a spoiler?
It sounds like 3x18 will be huge with moments for both SE/DE but I got the distinct impression DE wins that round. We might be right on our assessment of how that goes down. Some people are calling it a reverse Let the Right One In.

Whoa didn't notice that with Alaric! I hope she's not killed off though. Don't want her name to go with her. Yes I don't want Meredith's name to forever be gone and never mentioned again! I still have hopes of her joining the gang and being a bit of Meredith from the books. My mind went blank when you mentioned Let the Right One In. Can't remember what took place! Also I hope the cheering was enough clue for JP on who the fans want. When she mentioned Stefan and Elena it was like a little wail and then when she said Damon and Elena it was like a giant roar. Though I don't think it's that she's clueless since she did mention the 'loud fanbase' (I was nearly screaming at her to just say Delena fans already ) I think its more of JP is trying to incorporate Damon/Stefan's relationship more. I think she even mentioned that Defan was the true love story of the show. Though I kind of hate how she uses that as an excuse of not to move things on the Damon/Elena front.

Also going back to what you said about catching anything else at that stream as spoiler Julie did say that the seating was arranged the way it was for a reason. And it was Ian and Nina sitting next to each other and then Paul and Candice. So I don't know but Julie said it herself so could mean something.

It's called chickening out to prolong things and it's what they've been doing but they've done it too long already. I want to listen to that panel again so I can hear some things again as there were a few interesting things that came out of it but nothing that's going to be for sure.
Now the leak I'm hearing is that Stefan does something horrible in the next episode. But my bet is it's a flashback so it won't matter in the least. Ironic really since everything Damon did was in the past and people still like to pull that out and say it's why DE shouldn't happen.

Or....gasp....Alaric could die, but I doubt it because he is so popular. I love Alaric.

I still think it's Finn. It's called Murder of One. I think they need one sibling to die to break the spell that binds them and since Finn hates what they are and he betrayed them i'm thinking they don't mind if he is the "one"!

On that article of what trends Julie wanted to see before the show started up one of them was RIP Alaric and then she went to say don't worry it's not a spoiler or anything. So I don't think Alaric will die unless she came out like surprise! Though that speech that Alaric had going about working with such an amazing cast did seem a bit of a goodbye thing.

Regarding 3x18 from the panel last night, I an said:
“There’s an amazing bonding moment for both Elena and Damon and Stefan and Damon.â€- @iansomerhalder
Plus it really sounds like he gets badly beat up doesn't it when he was talking about the torture and how bad the originals could be? Maybe it's the worst yet torture for poor Damon. It might even go into 3x19 and maybe that's why he wasn't filming while the others were, because they did all the torture stuff at once and then the next episode they are trying to find him or something. Elena's true feelings for him could definitely come out and right in front of Stefan as they find him all beat to heck. This is what I am hoping for.

Yeah, and he also said, "I still want that ring," or something like that, sort of past tense vibe. I mean wouldn't he still be wearing it? Then everyone got sort of quiet there and Julie said, "We not talking about that."
