Haven't read all the posts/spoilers in here but Damon sleeps with Bekah? There isn't a smug enough smiley I can use for reading that Bekah hates Elena and wants Stefan and Elena is toying with Damon's emotions with this back & forth BS. And Matt gets invited by an admirer (an owed dance)? That's the word, yeah. I guess we'll see tomorrow. Really want to see if it'll just be a quick, "I'm pissed at these 2, you're pissed at these 2 so lets have rough dirty Vampire sex" fling or if it'll go somewhere for Damon like with Rose and Andie. Damon has started growing attachments for his 'distractions' so who knows. Bekah might find something worthwhile as well instead of both being hung up on people that obviously don't want them at this point in time cause of a current obstacle (funny enough, both would need the other to get rid of said obstacle in their path). To think we're going to get more than a marshmallow this go around Not sure if I want to deal with another episode of Stefan's quips either about Damon/Elena =\

Got this from Zap it!!!!! SOunds awesome cannot wait for tonight! <3
We just returned from a screening of "The Vampire Diaries" upcoming Original ball episode, "Dangerous Liaisons," and we're still reeling, as can be expected. We obviously can't share too much with you -- we wouldn't want to ruin the fun -- but we do have some juicy tidbits to tide you over until tomorrow night.
Damon gets his neck snapped -- but the real surprise is who commissioned the rather violent (if temporary) kill. Later, Elena says something to him that hits him pretty hard, and definitely changes things between them. By the end of the episode, Damon has his old swagger back, big time. He may not quite be the Damon we met in the pilot, but he's got some of that sexy recklessness back, and it's about time, if we do say so ourselves.
Klaus/Caroline fans, you're going to have a lot to sink your teeth into this week, as the two vamps spend considerable time together -- he even shares some of his hobbies with her. Yes... apparently he's a true artist, when he's not slaughtering entire towns and stuff. Still, despite Tyler's absence from the episode, we never doubt for a moment that Caroline loves him. Well, maybe one moment. Or two. (There are even some fun moments between her and Matt, for those of us who still keep that candle burning. Dimly. In a hidden corner.)
Meet the (other) Originals! A few more family secrets are revealed -- the least of which being that their last name is Mikaelson. We'll get to know Kol a little better and we've got a feeling you're going to love-to-hate him as much as we do. Let's jut say he messes with someone we love... but he looks damn good doing it. As for Finn, he remains rather enigmatic, but Julie Plec tells us he shared his father's self loathing and hatred of vampires, and we'll see how that plays out over the next few episodes. The ever-mysterious Original witch will make her true plans known. Yes, like everyone else in Mystic Falls, she's got a hidden agenda. Also like everyone else in Mystic Falls, she needs Elena to pull it off.
Bonnie doesn't appear in the episode, but we do find out a bit of information about her and Abby that puts them smack in the middle of the mythology, and not just as plot devices. (We're pretty sick of the vampires using the witches as pawns in their vampire games at this point.) Turns out, the Bennett witches aren't just witches. Their ancestry has been intertwined with the Originals' for thousands of years, and the revival of Esther will bring them even further into the fold in upcoming episodes.
Matt remains phenomenal. Someone is plotting to kill him throughout the episode, but he's more gentlemanly than ever, even in the face of obvious jeopardy. There's a great moment toward the end that Julie says is a bit of a shout out to the Matt fans -- and specifically to @matt_Donovan1 on twitter. (We had ourselves a nice little chuckle.) There seems to be some potential for a relationship between Matt and Rebekah, and he'll make a decision on that before the end of the episode. We're just impressed that he thinks he has any say in it at all.
We haven't forgotten about you, Stefan fans. Elena is caught in a virtual tug-of-war throughout the episode (at one point, they literally each have her by the arm). The question, as always, is whether Stefan can find it in himself to care about Elena -- and whether or not she still wants him to care about her at this point. That will pretty much be answered by the end of the hour. Per usual, Paul Wesley's performance will give you goose bumps.
Watch tomorrow's episode at 8 p.m. EST -- there are tuxes and a shirtless vampire or two, so it'd be your loss to miss it. After the episode, click on back to Zap2it for more fun tidbits from Julie Plec about where the triangle is headed for the rest of the season!

And I am NOT looking forward to it. I won't be rushing home to watch it. I guess I'll watch it whenever I get around to it. More setbacks and pain for Damon are NOT what I want to see.

I *HATED* Stefan & Elena this episode. I had to hit the 'Anti' switch at the end of it. It was Elena's plan to snap Damon's neck? Come the hell on. And then telling him off afterwards and on top of all that, agreeing to doom the rest of the Originals to Klaus' fate? Stefan's Hot/Cold attitude is BS too. "Damon, it's your job to protect Elena" - "Damon needs to see you can protect yourself"... Whiplash anyone? Kudos to Damon this episode. I've been kind of the 'care too much/love Elena' thing and having squat to show for it so I was glad to see the impulsiveness come back after Elena told him off but the good thing out of it is he saved Matt and put an Original down. Matt however blew Bekah off when she tried to apologize and check up on him. No worries, Damon handled his business Not one for shipping really but Damon and Bekah? Hmm... Bonnie is a descendant of Ayanna. Funny. Bennetts are quite involved, aren't they? Bennetts, Doppelgangers, Vampires, Stevie Wonder, etc.. And what I don't get is that Finn is in on the plan. He's been in a box for 900 years and he's ready to die? What the bloody f*** is that?

Although Elena annoyed me, I'm glad she was in the wrong and not Damon. She also clearly didn't meant what she said. Stefan though. You tell Elena you don't care. You later say you said something you didn't mean. You tell Elena again you don't care. My head spins at this. Plus it means you're messing with Elena's head again. Surprised that Finn is in on this. Also, I wish the DE part of the dance was longer. But that could be just me.

Well i Think Finn is in on it because he shares the same views about vampires like his father (i read that somehwere)
Also does anybody think that linking the originals to one also links all VAMPIRES? they are technically all an abomination and if thats so Elena just signed damon and stefan's fate as wel
I felt bad for Elijah ;/ he trusted Elena but shes on a roll man and she totally regretted right away what she said!
and i dont ship damon with bekah but damn hottest sex scene on vampire diaries lol doggy style anyone lmao
i felt bad for damon because he basically got slapped with his own confession of love but Elena was right. Even when Stefan was with Elena he let her make her own decisions

Yes, I brought that up in the chat. Elena didn't think to ask what this link might mean to ALL vampires.

He gave Damon a low blow with the whole you care too much thing. Stefan wanted this Damon long ago. He wanted the Damon who cared and i thought thats what he didnt mean to say. Stefan gave him a low blow and then Elena staked his nuts lmao

Forgot he said that. So it was a double whammy to Damon. Stefan tells him he cares too much and then so does Elena. But no, I'm pretty sure it was about the not caring part. Or I guess it could be about both.

We'll see. Esther trying to kill her family makes no sense if she's trying to redeem herself cause the damage is done and widespread so the only reason I can think of it is because she wants to correct the problem in it's entirety. Killing the Original children is all that's left of the source: all Vampires descend from them now and Mikael is already dead so if there is more to Esther's spell, she can effectively kill all Vampires through a chain reaction from her children.
I also kind of figured why there's that big of a gap between Finn's daggering and Kol's (about 800 years). He had to have had some similar mindset to Mikael (or preference to him) which is why Klaus got rid of him first.
I feel bad for Elijah too. He's trusted Elena, even protected her from Bekah and has been the most level-headed of the Originals yet Elena signed him away with the rest.
Damon's emotions have always been his biggest con for me, specifically the whole Elena aspect. Yes, he's overprotective and forces his own decisions on her but Elena does need that sometimes (not all the time). That's kind of why I want this Damon/Elena thing to happen/get over with so he can get past this phase.

Remember Damon snapping Jeremy's neck was also a 'double whammy' situation. Katherine & Elena told him in the same night that it would always be Stefan. People need to coordinate what they tell Damon so he doesn't end up hearing the same thing in the same day to go off on someone

And it seems to be Elena who stakes him in the nuts everytime lmao
by the way Elena asks the wrong questions -_- If i was her i wouldve been like what does the petrova bloodline have to do with all this magic and what happens to me if i link all the vampires and what happens to all the other vampires. Gesusbee for her wanting to be in everything she never asks the right questions lol

It's Elena. The right questions are never on her mind or they're an afterthought. She really should have asked what her bloodline has to do with all this and what happens to all other Vampires. She should have asked why Esther was 'kept alive' but at the same time dead by Ayanna, if there was another way to depower/kill Klaus solely without bringing down the others, etc.. Elena is Esther's ace. If she said no, what could Esther do? Elena would just have to tell Elijah and then the 'unity' that Esther wants to conduct her plan goes up in smoke.
Elena knew she was going to talk to Esther that night. Girl should have brought a notebook with questions she thought up throughout the day but no.
