Would be...but I don't expect much honestly. Would be nice to see a Werewolf centric storyline but I'd expect it to be half-assed at best.

I don't know how reliable this is since there are some mistakes in the text as "3rd season" but it might be some news for Delena fans
Showrunner Julie Plec knows and she’s starting to tease exactly what we can expect come September, prior to Comic Con.
Without giving away any spoilers yet, let’s state the obvious revelations based on the Season 3 Finale:
1- Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) a vampire. Yes, Elena’s a vampire and you know what that means. With all those emotions heightened, Delena is most definitely on. Expect a steamy love scene between Elena and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) to kick off the "third season". Sorry, Stefan (Paul Wesley), you’ll just have to wait on the sidelines.
2- Tyler’s body is controlled by Klaus. The two are both returning so we’ll have to wait and see how long Michael Trevino will be acting as Joseph Morgan acting as Klaus. Phew. Also, what will it mean for Tyler and Caroline? Will Klaus use Tyler’s body to get his rocks off with Caroline or will he drive a wedge between the two.
3- Alaric is gone so Jeremy will have to step up as the lead hunter in Mystic Falls.

Uhm...Alaric as of late wasn't doing any hunting until his story took a turn for the worse so why the hell would Jeremy need to step up to the job? He went from hunting Council members to the Originals but aside from that, he's been down on Jenna/in guardian mode.

^ you're in the spoiler thread? I don't believe that first one. Elena chose Stefan. She'll be with him for a while. JP said this. Alaric wasn't doing much hunting. Actually he hadn't done much hunting since S1. But I guess Jeremy needs something to do.

"I'd tell you about the things Elena is going to remember but, dangit, would you know? I forget! All I know is that it will be most unfortunate to a particular relationship on the show."
This spoiler references the fact that Elena will remember she met Damon first once she transitions into a vampire. He compelled her to forget the meeting, and a few other things during the time they have known each other as well. She will remember some, but it isn't clear how much.
As for Damon, he will not be happy about the situation Elena finds herself in, and he will be set on revenge. Who will he go after? TV Line shared this bit of information:
"I’m going to assume Elena has her hands full completing her transition to vampire. One person who does have revenge on the brain is Damon, who blames poor Matt for Elena’s little predicament."
Matt was driving the car that caused Elena's death, and Stefan pulled him out of the car first. Matt is probably going to wish he hadn't once Damon sets his eyes on him.

Yeah, I'm here pixie, looking for something to keep me interested in coming back/sticking with the show for atleast a season more. ruby: So...everyone is going to be blaming Bekah and Damon is going to be blaming Matt? I guess he wishes he hadn't saved Matt at the Ball now. And he should also point a finger at Jeremy. At the very least, I'm happy that Matt is getting some blame because of the boneheaded plan. Being the target because he was saved by Stefan...a stretch. Elena told Stefan to save Matt first and we know what Matt's worth is to her so of course he was going to be a priority but still, if he's getting blamed for that, might as well be on a vengeance streak with Bonnie & Jeremy too.

lol i think Damon is just going to be getting at everyone from Stefan to Matt to Bekah although she might not feel his wrath because she most likely won't be around to see the transition unfold. so yea maybe thats why Matt gets the most of it?

Thomas: I know Vampire Diaries began production on season four this week—what can you tell us about Bonnie's storyline?! Mo' vampires, mo' problems is Bonnie's season-four motto, naturally. At least that's what we took away from our chat with Kat Graham before her performance at Bing and dosomething.org's Summer of Doing event. "Bonnie's going to be put in a position where she's going to try and do everything she can to help Elena through the transition," Kat teases of Mystic Falls' resident witch storyline. "Bonnie is going to be delving into a couple of things that she's never had. She's going to be meeting a new someone." A new someone?! Color us intrigued!

A new someone? A Witch hopefully and not an interest. What the bloody hell happened to Jamie? She dropped him that quick?
And black magic? She got a taste of it with the dessication spell and seemed like she enjoyed it so maybe she'll take an interest/look down that path to see if she can help Elena in any way (the things these people do for Elena...smh).

The Chicago Code star Todd Williams will take on the role of Connor, the mysterious and powerful new vampire hunter, when the CW hit returns in October.
Fans will first meet Connor in episode two and can expect to see him stick around town for a bit. Hmmm...should the Salvatores brothers be worried or will they be buying BFF necklaces to share with another vampire hunter?
In addition to the short-lived Chicago Code, Williams also appeared on In Plain Sight. The Vampire Diaries' fourth season premieres Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. on the CW. What do you make of this TVD addition? Think he'll buddy up with Stefan and Damon...or hunt them down?

The Vampire Diaries' cast stopped by the press room at Comic-Con to dish on Elena's transformation, inter-personal relationships and a trip to the dark side in season 4. We chatted with executive producers Julie Plec and stars Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Michael Trevino, Steven R. McQueen and Zach Roerig about next season.
Elena's Transformation. Plec explained that they wanted Elena's transformation into a vampire to be earned, which is why it didn't happen earlier in the series. There was simply too much character development that needed to take place before she went on this particular journey. The season 4 premiere of The Vampire Diaries (which picks up a few hours after the events of the season 3 finale) will see the group exhausting every possible opportunity to save Elena from becoming a vampire. The outcome of that quest will set the stage going forward. Meanwhile, Dobrev likened the transformation into a vampire to puberty. Because emotions are heightened, Elena will experience a lot of emotional swings, from extreme sadness to extreme happiness.
The Salvatores and Elena. “The best thing about those brothers is that they love her very deeply. In spite of moves made or arguments they've had over the years about her being a vampire, they both know that’s the one thing she never wanted. If anyone deserves a human life - or to grow up and have babies as she said in season 2 - it’s [Elena]. In a weird way, she’s going to be more pragmatic about it than then are. They’re both going to be very set on ‘how can we save her from herself?’ They’re not going to be on the same page at all in the beginning,” Plec warned. She lamented the fact that the brothers were recently on a journey to reconnect, but “now we’re going to see that tested a little bit.” Wesley said that, as a viewer, he feels conflicted watching Elena’s death scene. “We find out later that Stefan never meant for [Elena] to die. He wasn’t making the decision to let her die. He was making the decision to save Matt first and come back to get her, for whatever reason. She chose Stefan, but now he has this against him, in a way. So it’s sort of a catalyst for her to go to Damon.” Damon will be angry with Stefan, insisting that he would have saved Elena instead of letting her make a choice that led to her death.
Damon’s New (Old) Attitude. Despite Elena choosing Stefan in the season 3 finale, Somerhalder doesn’t believe Damon will be pining for her. in seasons 2 and 3 Damon tried to be the person that other people wanted him to be. “He’s basically saying now ‘this is who I am, like it or not’. This season now, he has a sense of self-worth. But Elena’s going to be going through all of these things that Damon and Stefan went through. So I think they will also be able to relate to her and connect with her on a new level where they, for once, really understand what she’s going through. When asked if Damon would go back to his darker side, Somerhalder replied “absolutely!”
Bonnie’s Trip to the Dark Side. “[Bonnie] is going to learn very quickly that those dark places [that she tapped into by moving Klaus into Tyler’s body] are easy to tap into it and not so good to tap into. Bonnie’s going to have a really rough journey, but hopefully a really beautiful journey." Will Bonnie get help? McQueen said that Jeremy still loves Bonnie, so if there’s any help for him to give, he will so do. Plec hinted that the writers want to introduce a character who can serve as a guide for Bonnie in terms of the magical world, especially since her grandmother was unable to really do so before she died.
A New Hunter in Town. A new vampire hunter is coming to Mystic Falls in season 4. Played by Todd Williams, this new character - Connor - doesn’t seem all that eager to hide the truth about vampires from the townsfolk. Instead, he’s far more eager to just kill vampires. “He’s pretty hard-core and he takes a lot of our characters by surprise by hard-core he is,” Plec warned.
Case of the Bodysnatchers. Fans who are wondering what will happen now that Klaus is in Tyler’s body can rest assured that Klaus will play a role next season. Joseph Morgan himself will resume his role as Klaus “sooner than later,” Plec hinted.
Matt’s Season 4 Journey. “Matt was always the ordinary guy. And now, in his ordinariness, he has, by default, become extraordinary in his own way. I think he’s going to start to feel the burden and the pressure of ‘how can I find my way in this world and how can I earn my life that [Elena] saved for me,” Plec explained. Roerig believes that Matt obviously feels guilty that saving his life resulted in Elena’s death, but he also feels very loved. Elena, in a way, gave up her life for him, so Matt will spend a lot of time proving to her and to others that she made the right choice.
Jeremy’s Next Steps. Poor Jeremy has “contributed to the death of his last family member,” McQueen explained. “He’s been kind of backed into a corner the last couple of seasons [so] he’s imploded. It will be interesting to see him fight back.” Whether or not he’ll blame the Salvatore brothers for Elena’s current state remains to be seen, but it’s clear that Jeremy’s hatred for the supernatural in general runs deep, particularly given how supernatural creatures are responsible for Elena’s transformation. How will he deal with that? We have to remember that he comes from a family who are very anti-vampire. Plec warned that we’ll see Jeremy balancing his need to honor his family’s history - including learning tips from the new hunter in town - with his desire to protect Elena. And how will Jeremy feel about Elena becoming a vampire? Since he saw Alaric’s ghost in the season 3 finale, he believed Elena was dead. He’s going to be happy that she’s alive, although he’s not exactly thrilled about her becoming a vampire, so his feelings on the matter will be slightly complicated. No matter what happens with Elena and Jeremy, Plec assured us that the Gilbert children would remain in the Gilbert house, which is their last real connection to their family.
The Rest of the Season. Plec hinted that there’s a lot of twists and turns planned for season 4 of The Vampire Diaries, particularly towards the end of the season. “There’s a lot of intense moves this year. We’re not really afraid to take chances and risks on Elena’s journey and for everyone, especially as they’re figuring out who they are and who they’re meant to be as they approach graduation and making decisions about what their life is going to be moving forward.” As for the rest of the series, at its core The Vampire Diaries will always be a love triangle. “The show is a love triangle that is made to run for a very long time. We’ve got to keep it alive, honest and fluid. I don’t think, necessarily, people who want it to happen understand that it’s a long marathon.”

"The Vampire Diaries": This season, the Mystic Falls gang will graduate from high school. In order to smooth the transition, viewers are going to start spending some time at the local university early in the season -- remember, the unnamed school that Jenna attended while writing her thesis? Expect to meet a new recurring character, Professor Shane, who knows a thing or two about the paranormal. We're hearing that initially, he'll work quite closely with Bonnie. The story plays on some threads spun in an early Season 2 episode, "Bad Moon Rising."

WARNING: This article contains spoilers.
"Vampire Diaries" executive producer Julie Plec revealed a little bit about Elena and Matt's relationship in Season 4 of the show in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour.
"We’re going to see Matt be a champion for Elena," Plec told THR. "It’s going to be a nice friendship. Matt’s going to be strong and he’s going to try and stay strong. It’s not going to be easy for him. He knows he’s got to live well to earn the fact that he’s still alive and be a man about it."
The love triangle between Elena, Stefan and Damon might be put on the backburner, but ties that bind the three characters will always be present, regardless of how much each changes.
"Elena is changing as a character and Stefan is changing as a result of what she’s going through, Damon is changing as a result of what she’s going through so there’s always going to be shifts and turns and evolution of their relationships to each other that are always going to be right there," Plec told THR.
In June, WetPaint reported two new "Vampire Diaries" characters to be introduced this season: April and Connor.
A 16-year-old named April, played by Grace Phipps, returns to Mystic Falls after having been in private school for some time. She knows Elena and Jeremy from when they were kids, and WetPaint hints that "there may be more to her than meets the eye."
E! News reported that Connor, played by Todd Williams, is a "mysterious and powerful" new vampire hunter. He will make his "Vampire Diaries" debut in Episode 2.
With all these new characters, new love may blossom.
HitFix spoke with actor Paul Wesley earlier this month at Comic-Con about his "Vampire Diaries" character, Stefan, and a possible new romantic interest.
“Stefan is being her [Elena's] rock, but at a certain point Elena may blame him, and… he may turn to some darkness. I’ve overheard some rumors about Stefan having a new love interest, but I don’t know if that’s true or not,” Wesley told HitFix.
As for Elena (Nina Dobrev), Plec says that she has some "hot vampire sex" in Season 4.
Elena, who is a newly-turned vampire, will have her "first hot vampire sex" with either Damon, Stefan, Klaus, Matt or Elijah, Plec told TV Guide.
"Elena saved Matt's life, so he's going to end up paying it forward in a very peculiar way," she told TV Guide. "It's like she's going through puberty and vampire sex is going to feel like her first time."
Check out Season 4 premiere of "The Vampire Diaries" on Thursday, October 11 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
