BORN TO BE WILD — Connor (guest star Todd Williams) continues his search to uncover the secrets of Mystic Falls and tries to convince Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to work with him. With Dr. Fell’s (guest star Torrey DeVitto) help, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) question Connor, but the confrontation takes a lethal turn. Trying to keep her new life as normal as possible, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is determined to continue her senior year at Mystic Falls High with support from Matt (Zach Roerig) and Caroline (Candice Accola). Rebekah’s (Claire Holt) arrival at school makes it difficult for Elena to control her anger, but she learns that confronting Rebekah can be extremely dangerous. Later, Rebekah realizes how alone she is, and reaches out to April (guest star Grace Phillips). Stefan (Paul Wesley) takes Elena on a thrilling motorcycle ride in an effort to show her that life can still be fun. Tyler (Michael Trevino) gets a surprise visit from Hayley (guest star Phoebe Tonkin, “The Secret Circleâ€), a werewolf who helped him through the ordeal of breaking his sire-bond to Klaus. Concerned about Elena, as well as his own emotions, Stefan turns to a sympathetic Caroline for advice. Lance Anderson directed the episode written by Brian Young (#403). I'm sorry a motorcycle ride? How dreadfully boring.

It'd be funny if they actually played the 'Born to be Wild' song during the motorcycle ride

It'd be funny if they actually played the 'Born to be Wild' song during the motorcycle ride I don't know why but I just don't see Stefan as being 'wild.' His idea of an exciting evening is staying home and writing in his diary about his wretched life. So the whole Stefan with a motorcycle makes me laugh.

I am happy that Klaus will be back asap. I also like that we will meet hayley by episode 3. I also like that Stefan is trying to help Elena hold on to the fun parts of her life. I saw the canadian episode and she looked freaked out about being a vampire so it should be interesting. it kind of reminds me of Bella and Jacob from Twilight with the motorcycle.

Yeah it does sound kind of a boring episode. I think this is gonna be the worst season of them all.

I feel bad for Rebekah and all but really, "I never meant to hurt you" is not going to cut it. You basically had him run his car over a bridge and wouldve left him for dead. Not unless she was planning on stopping the car and taking elena and snapping her neck

It's more of a generic clip, but it has some bits with the motorcycle.

Not unless she was planning on stopping the car and taking elena and snapping her neck Pretty much this. If she cared, she would have dove in, rescued Matt, knocked Elena out cold/finished it, jammed the door, and left with Matt.

The scene between Caroline & Stefan is sickening to me. Not because of Stefan (not entirely), but because Caroline is the 'Go To' Vampire now for advice about how to be a better Vampire? Tired of Caroline being 'pimped out' as poster child of a perfect, humanized Vampire. And the "It's not everyday a Salvatore summons me" line bothered me. Like she'd show up if Damon called. And it's just poetic that Damon saves Matt from Elena just as Elena saved Matt from Damon earlier. So Klaus is back in town to finally do something about protecting his Hybrids. He helps Damon on a Vampire Hunter hunt and apparently, Connor doesn't know all the history. There are 5 Vampire Hunters like him (well, 4 others) and for some reason, since Connor doesn't know all the details, Klaus is keeping him alive and protecting him but for some reason, this news also gives Elena some value again. Guessing that these group of Hunters and maybe Alexander are tied to the doppelganger? Klaus is also wise to what happened between Tyler and Hayley. He's just waiting to use that bomb. Loved Bekah this episode. Mean Bekah = Awesome Bekah. All the taunting Elena was just priceless. I'm guessing she's going to find a friend in April which is good. She's in a rough spot, April is too, so they can sort of understand and support each other. Only problem I see with this is Elena & Co. running interference on keeping April away from Bekah Bekah is offering to look into the explosion too for April. I at her ripping Matt's heart out. Interesting to know that the Originals are still susceptible to Werewolf venom in the form of the hallucinations but not the actual dying from it (just need to sleep it off/work it out of the system). I just have to point out that I think it was asinine of Damon to give something as important as the White Oak Stake to someone like Elena. Really, I do. He has no problem with her wiping out a whole segment of Vampires (it's Damon) but the possibility and likeliness that she'd lose the damn thing to the Originals didn't cross his mind? Oh, wait. Elena got the jump on Bekah when she was a human so she can do it again much easier as an enraged Vampire -_- Seems like Elena's hallucinations/mind are telling her that the Stefan route isn't for her and that she secretly knows that she's more along the lines of Damon. They look to explore that next week.

We never saw Damon give the stake to Elena so we don't know if that's true. Seemed to me like she left when Damon was getting naked.

They look to explore that next week. Maybe I missed a part but how did Damon save Matt? I was srtreaming online so I probably missed some parts. Also I liked the convo with Caroline and Stefan because Stefan was honest. He said he doesnt want to join elena bc he is scared of his ripper side and although he knows Damon is willing to help him I guess his pride is kicking in bcuz of the triangle etc. I think the fact that Caroline is super controlled is because of her being such a control freak in her human life. Also I like how Meredith was straight up with Damon she told him how it was and he needed to hear it. So do you think Tyler really hooked up with this girl? Bc it sounded like klaus was making it up or insinuating and Tyler didnt deny it. Damon with his lines...hahaha i loved it. my favorite ITS A KITTEN A VERY ADORABLE KITTEN Conner obviously spiked the beer I am probably missing more but im about to eat haha

Could also be true. She tore up his room to find it (he knew what she wanted) and she said she was finding that Stake. We know Damon doesn't hide important things too well (Moon Stone). For all we know, he had it in the log pile next to the fireplace.
