Oh I like some of the Felicity story. But the Oracle story they ripped is a completely different character and much better done dc.wikia.com/wiki/Oracle It felt like yet another batman thing they inserted in the show and then changed back way to fast. Her story with her dad was one of the best stories this season. It just that part i really hated. I'd be like if you read TVD books then finally got a show and the love triangle was Tyler/Elena/Matt you'd feel cheated in that respect. (i expect some changes but some are just grrrr worthy to me lol) Yeah I don't know the backstory and anything about this Oracle thing of which you speak. I didn't really see anything that seemed out of place with Felicity's storyline so I dunno. To be honest they have slaughtered the book TVD story into a million pieces but for the most part I don't care because it works on screen and maybe it wouldn't if they tried to stay completely loyal to the books. In fact I KNOW it wouldn't. They have but important aspects they keep I feel (tvd) , Yeah they even made the joke "What about Oracle?" "nah that names taken" ..... that hurt more man! lol It's like in DMC where dante made a joke about white hair , made me hate that reboot game.

Well that's up for interpretation on the things they kept. Like Bonnie Bennett is radically different and in my opinion way less likable than book Bonnie and then there's the matter of an entirely missing Meredith who was one of the main gang and one badass fighting female. That is a loss that can't ever be fixed. But nobody would know that who didn't read the books and it's the same with comics.

But Flash does it better a lot of times , I love Arrow but there has been more Batman than green Arrow. It's like TVD changes make it better for tv BUT it's not like they are pulling in The vampire Lestat because **** it it's a vampire book right? Green Arrow is more cheery + light hearted. But the tv show has used the Nolan batman tones and realism , The batman ra's al ghul story , the batman Oracle scene , More emphasis on fighting + detecting than archery. I'm not complaining about the changes I'm complaining that they have made a Batman show and just added the green arrow instead. I welcome good changes like Diggle is great (though hate his new helmet lol) but it's ironic that Arrow is better batman adaptation than Gotham is lol I still like but I want less bats

I am a huge Batman fan though, just not a comic book fan, if that makes sense. I think if I read the comics I would hate Arrow as a pseudo Batman. I want my Batman dark and not tainted, which I enjoy for the most part in the movie versions. Batman was never supposed to suffer from any kind of hero struggle. He always knew he played in the grays playground and not the black and white and he was OK with that.

I am soooo late to this party, lol. But since I had nothing to watch at the moment, I decided to start binging episodes of Arrow - SO GOOD! Why didn't anyone tell me (haha, jk). I'm on season 3 and realize that I have to pick up The Flash now too so I can keep up with the crossovers. I like the Flash too... brings the lighthearted fun to the mix. I read some earlier threads here, but don't want to be spoiled so since I have no one to watch live with me right now, I'll come back when I'm all caught up. I have my couple that I ship but since I don't know what's going to happen yet, I'll hop back in and see who everyone ships later. Is everyone still watching - going to watch S6? See you in a few weeks for the premiere

But I fully intend to come back to it someday, I really love this show.

Sometimes it's just characters that crossover, sometimes it's whole episodes that connect each show. I'm sure some people can easily just watch one and not care if they don't have the background for what's going on with the relationships, but I hate that personally lol. So I HAD to watch all 4 shows lol. But it just got too much for me to keep up with, so I decided I had to stop all of them. Arrow was the hardest for me to give up though lol, I really love that show.

That's how I got suckered into watching ALL of the Chicago shows. I didn't realize they had crossovers when I started watching Arrow and then I was like "wait, Barry is out of the coma, why aren't they showing him?" Then I realized when they showed "previously on Arrow". Well, there's my answer, haha. Of course I had to know what happened with him and Felicity, and how his relationship with Oliver progressed, etc. That's how they sucker you in. I don't know if I can catch up with all of them though - I may just seek out the actual crossover episodes. They generally do a pretty good job of keeping the storylines within the actual shows, but yeah...curiosity about the back story usually lures you in.

OK. So I kept up with Arrow and Flash (and I watched the first couple of episodes of Legends and Supergirl). What I've found is that you can watch them solo without watching all of the others. If you don't mind the tiny nuances that they mention here and there, then it doesn't matter. For example, when Sara left Arrow, they don't actually mention it on Arrow (she's just gone) - it's addressed on the first episode of Legends. Then as time goes on, they may say "Oh Sara is off helping the Legends". But it's briefly in passing and you could miss it if not paying attention. So things like this happen, where they'll mention stuff from the other series, but it's not too jarring. If of course you are curious to know, then yes, you'll have to watch them all, lol. Also, I do seek out the other series during the crossovers, just for my own sanity to see how the conflict started. Except for the SG/Flash musical crossover, I didn't watch SG because I figured it would only be relevant at the very end (just like the giant "Invasion" crossover). There's another giant crossover in a couple weeks, but I'll just watch the episodes that I need to. Flash is the only one I have caught up with fully. I am still a season behind on Arrow. Funny, I started out liking Arrow more, but now I like Flash more. Arrow is always so dark and dreary, but I like the light entertainment that I get from The Flash.

Yeah I have heard that same thing from lots of people. This week is the big crossover! I've seen a lot of previews, looks like it could be good. I hope you're still enjoying stuff. I miss these shows, I still haven't been able to make time for them. Mostly only watching Outlander these days haha. I have heard really good things about Supergirl though, if you ever decide you want to watch that one all the way through. I was watching that when it started, and liking it a lot before I decided I needed to give up the superhero biz lol.

I was about to get into it, then I realized it included the entire Arrowverse - then I said nope! But I will watch all 4 of them because I love WestAllen and I don't want to miss a thing about the wedding!! I decided to watch all of the shows, but but I am still in season 1 of Legends and Supergirl. They aren't going anywhere and I have winter hiatus and spring break to catch up on everything, lol. Oh, and I'm on season 5 of Arrow, so still need to get up to speed on that one too. I'm loving Outlander, but I'm a couple episodes behind (I can't keep up with all these shows!), and I'm excited for The Originals to come back - Hope will be a teen, so it should get interesting. And I think they'll be pandering to the Klaroline fans (if you're into that).

And I think they'll be pandering to the Klaroline fans (if you're into that). I watched the crossover yesterday and I have to say it was the best crossover yet. I love how all of the actors work so well together. This was actually one crossover where the storyline wasn't contained within each show. The wedding actually starts in the first episode with Supergirl and the main conflict courses throughout all 4 episodes. It is heavy Olicity even though Westallen is what brings everyone together. I really wish they did better with Westallen at the end, but I won't spoil the ending if anyone actually wants to watch. If there were more people on the boards watching, there are a TON of things we could nit-pick and have fun with, but overall, very good entertainment, even if you aren't keeping up with any of the shows. There are a few spoilers if you don't know what's going on in each show, but I would recommend watching it anyways.
