ROFL so true they probably should have them compel a teacher to give them an a for the whole year so we at least understand. They did have Jeremy failing school and e an al trying to help but other than that they just go to dances and the fun activities until people die.

I sure hope they are in full effect. But it could be a vervain stake or parts of a stake still stuck in him. Or those guns they use with what vervain bullets?

It seems from location that someone tried to stake him but missed and some fragments got left in him. I like seeing Elena tend to him. He's had to take care of himself for so long.  I don't really want a human Damon or a human anyone for that matter, but it does sort of look like she could be possibly sewing him up and she wouldn't sew him up if he was a vampire, which means he'd have to be human to need sewing up. I hope not. I'd hate to see his beautiful chest marred with a scar. But I don't imagine he'd be standing there being sewed up or that Elena would be the one doing it if he were human so it's probably option A, stake fragments or wooden bullets being pulled out of vampire Damon's chest. |

I am a little bit bothered by the description that his life is in danger AFTER a ghostly encounter. Wouldn't it be during? He'd heal at a rapid speed if he were a vampire unless it was poisoned with werewolf venom or something. However, if he were human his life could be in danger after as he would not heal on his own.
