I am all caught up! :0) Woopwoop! (I'm a bit slow, being in the UK & all. I literally discovered TVD like 2months ago?!)
...I feel at a loss now we have no new episodes though! & kinda sad that Bonnie's dead...I wonder what story they'll cook up for Jeremy still being alive?!
I sobbed when Alaric disappeared again (what is it about his friendship with Damon that makes me cry like a baby when either one of them leaves the other?!)
& I'm suitably perplexed about the Stefan/Silas doppelgänger situation! Stefan was gonna leave town anyway, he got his wish ~ just kinda not how he expected it!
Instead of Jeremy coming back it should've been Alaric ~ I miss his input the most although I didn't like his alter ego self one teeny little bit! I understand the whole reasoning for bringing Jeremy back though even though I'm not entirely convinced by it!
I loved Damon & Elena's whole "I'm not sorry for loving you" speech <3 wonder how long they'll actually get to be happy?! Yes yes yes now I'm just completely repeating what has been said before, I'll shut up right there!
Bring on Season 5 cos the finale of Season 4 was JUST how TVD should always be...the rest of Season 4 was a bit slow for my liking!

Season 4 confused the heck out of me and I did NOT like Elena being all over the place at all. I guess she really is the anchor of the show to me and I did not like one bit that she was behaving erratically. It threw the whole show off for me and made me not enjoy it for a while there but thankfully we are back on track for season 5.

Yep. Back on track! It was a nice change I guess so see the humanity-less Elena! She certainly was volatile & absolutely gave some good story lines :0) it wasn't that I didn't like Season 4, just was my least favourite seeing as I super super liked Season 3...
I loved the way that Elena thanked Stefan & gave him the cure & I think it was clever that it flashbacked to a part of the conversation we didn't see the first time just as Elena was almost dieing! I love TVD flashbacks :0)...

I think it would have been less painful if I had gotten to see it all at once but the not knowing, the weeks going by and having Elena act all hateful, I just did not like that!

I can see why that would be awful! Guess I was lucky, I watched Seasons 1 through 4 pretty much back to back...
Although when ya'll watching Season 5 & I'm not...spare me a thought ;0) I'll join in with the speculation but not truly know what happens til much much later when it's on TV in the UK...:0( *sad face*

The reason I support DE is because of who Elena is and how she seemed to be able to uncannily peal back the layers that Damon had so carefully guarded himself with and she could see him for who he really was and cared and that was what eventually brought him out of his shell. Had she acted like the Queen Bitch it would never have happened. I would have never wanted her with my Damon! I like her vamp self with humanity, that I can live with!

However, we have caught up with the US, since when they showed the finale on Thursday, we saw it the following Tuesday on ITV2 and repeated an hour later on ITV2+1. That means that when S5 starts here in the UK we should only be 5 days behing the US. |

I love the fact that Elena can get through Damon's layers...I love the fact that he has depth! & I love the fact that Elena accept him flaws & all...she knows he does bad things & makes bad choices but he's accepted for who he is! That is a VERY important thing, through it all it has been Damon who has loved Elena (even at her worst!) but Stefan just wanted to "fix" her right away...I think Elena as a vampire with humanity is PERFECT for Damon. Damon liked to put up this "wall" & act like he never cared but truth is deep down he loves his brother, no matter what they've been through he will always stand by him, same goes for Elena ~ Damon once said "I've been in love. It's painful and pointless and overrated" & Vicki countered that with "except when it isn't!" I have no reason to doubt that Damon & Elena's journey was nothing but painful but Damon didn't shy away from it which makes him the deeper character I feel... x |

When Damon gets sad I get sad :0( happens EVERY time lol. Those scenes with Alaric when he was leaving as a ghost or dieing as a vampire made me bawl my eyes out! When he told Elena he loved her for the 1st time oh my goodness, I watched that scene over & over! They've got a pretty strong foundation I reckon...I think it'll take some knocks though during season 5...nobody in Mystic Falls manages to stay happy for long it seems! Relationships in MF are doomed!!! x |
