To anybody here who celebrates Christmas we all know its sneaking up on us and fast, I can't believe its next weekend already....So what are you guys doing for Christmas Eve and Day
For Christmas Eve we are going to my aunt Patricia's house on Long Island NY and what we do is we eat a big meal of course and than after that my Cousins Brothers and myself are doing Secret Santa. On Thanksgiving we each picked a name of a cousin whoever we got is who we buy for instead of buying for everyone cousin....Its cheaper for us being on our own and my Cousin jennifer is buying a house with her husband Bryan and their having a baby their first child She/he is due July 14th....
Than we play games and relax than on Christmas Day we are going to my Aunt Laura's in Westchester Ny.....

We did the secret Santa thing too with all the relatives. It just got too much so we all agreed and that took alot of stress off everyone. This year I'm making a ham dinner and spending the day with family.

It is fun we do Secret Santa as well where I work too. Its easier too just buy one gift for one staff member instead of buying a gift for all 20 Staff members.

I'm spending the holidays at my parents, with the rest of my family. I'm leaving this weekend actually. Usually we have dinner and exchange gifts and all the traditional stuff. We also did secret santa thing. It's too much to buy every single person a gift these days, so everyone buying ONE gift makes a lot more sense. I know I couldn't afford to purchase gifts for everyone in my family, trust me thats a lot of people. I'm actually going to get my little cousins gift this weekend when I get to Miami. She's only six so it shouldn't be that hard. Though I don't plan on going over 50 bucks. I'm a college student lol I'm always on a budget!

Don't know what the hell is wrong with my family. The past few Christmas' I remember, we used to get together at either one of my Uncles' houses or my Aunt's and we'd play Christmas themed games (get in groups and such) to win tickets to raffle off a bunch of prizes at the end of the day.
Well as of late (this year), there seems to be some sort of rift between some of the older crowd. Thanksgiving, instead of getting together like usual, we were 'split' amongst my Uncle's house and my Grandma's house. Thing is, my mom lied to some of the others saying she was at work when that wasn't the case and then they don't like telling some of the other members cause there would be the off chance they'd mention it to someone else they didn't want there.
Christmas this year, from what I was told, was 'Every one for themselves'. Kind of pissed cause it's one of those things I look forward to every year. Don't know what their problems are but you would think they could put them behind them for 2 days out of the year (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and enjoy being with all the family.
-_-

My two Aunts mostly.....My Aunt Laura said something offensive to my aunt Patricia when I was about 18 in 1996 and for Christmas Eve and Day my Aunt Laura was a no show but the next year it was better.
Some things should be put to the side be civil for the Holidays....A Teacher I work with has this same problem....She has a older sister, and a younger Brother the teacher is in the middle her Sister is never with them for Holidays.....Just her younger brother goes but Joanne says he's always in a rush to get home....

Christmas weekend is off to an *AMAZING* start. Had a, I don't know, 10 second power outage, this morning. Was watching the TV when it happened. Said power outage blew my TV. Tried to turn it back on, it comes up with no picture but I think I can hear some sound but it sounds like it's 1 notch above 'mute' so that's no good either. The TV sounds like it's trying to 'cycle' itself till it can get a picture but no dice.
Late 2009 my PS3 died on me, early 2010 my Laptop bit it and now, just before 2011 is out, I lose the TV. I'm looking forward to 2012...

Hopefully we get that news/confirmation early on so I can enjoy the stuff for some months instead of 10 minutes beforehand.
