Yeah, I think about that all the time too. It's like, what was the point of them making themselves immune? I don't think they have even ever showed us that it worked at all. They said they were doing it, but then nothing ... every time they come in contact with vervain it affects them exactly the same as it affects everyone else. So dumb.

Yes also the how it effects them. Things covered in it have been touched before and it just burnt. Then other times things like vervain soaked ropes don't burn they just strip powers like it's kryptonite. It's confusing as hell.
now say an entire need full like damon was stuck with by doctors this season = okay as there's a lot of it. But vervain covered ropes or vervain in drink should not effect the brothers this much.
