Well so far her agent did not deny it when asked. It was a 'no comment' thing. So...we shall see and maybe she likes a certain sort of design and the ring is similar but not the same as her previous wedding ring. Perhaps she designed it. I know a lot of people that do that. Some people will undoubtedly NOT agree with me but I would love to see Nikki on TVD. Honestly she could replace Nina for all I care...lol Sorry...not sorry!

Like I said before I can't say I'm thrilled with the idea that Ian might be engaged to Nikki because to me they don't really know each other well enough for that, but on the other hand I don't really know how long they were friends prior to dating and Ian is 36 and most likely wants to settle down and have a family sooner rather than later. If it brings him happiness than I want that for him.

Since I am so fond of investigations I will see if we can determine if that ring is the same ring she wore when engaged to Paul. From the stories I've found when they first got engaged she wore an 'heirloom' ring on her right hand. Where that heirloom ring came from Isn't mentioned, whether it was from her side of the family and she is repeating that process, I can't say. Then they had some rings hand made for the actual wedding and engagement ring. The story is here. The bottom line is that even if that is the same engagement ring (heirloom ring) it may mean that she is engaged again if that is a family ring that is significant to her so I'm not sure we can conclude anything from it even if it is the same ring.:

It actually looks like two rings there...one could be the heirloom ring but the other could also be a new engagement ring...to go along with whatever wedding ring she has picked out. So basically I can't really conclude much from this. It may be an old couple of rings she threw on or it may have some significance to being engaged if she used it before when engaged. I guess until Ian or Nikki let us know one way or the other this really won't help us!

Others are saying it doesn't look like the heirloom ring...there are not really good clear pics of the ring(s) but here are a few more. Clever girl, hiding it in plain sight if that is a new engagement ring, then hiding her other hand to throw everyone off...it's actually quite funny!:

That last one above is pretty clear and it does NOT look like the heirloom ring or the real engagement ring that Paul gave her at all...so it may be an entirely different ring. Interestingly to me it seems to have a curve in the middle where an larger stoned ring would fit, doesn't it?
