Just to set the record straight, Nikki was actually Nina's friend not Ian's. So when the Nian's are talking about the girlfriend code it is because of that....... These pictures are from October 2010 and Ian has known Nikki since he dated Ashley Greene which was WAY before Nina ever knew her. If Nikki hung out with Nina a few times it's because she knew Ian and then got to know Nina when they were dating, not the other way around:
In April 2009 Ian and Ashley went to Jackson Rathbone's concert and Nikki and the rest of the Twilight gang was there as well. Basically that was probably one of the first connections between Ian and Nikki as friends as they were dating other people.

I have been debating internally about posting my thoughts on all of this but am going to go for it to get it out of my system.
1. The twitter hate toward Nikki is totally uncalled for. Can you imagine if social media had been popular during the Jennifer vs. Angelina time? Would have broken the Internet. Regardless, I admire Nikki for calling out these bullies but I wish cyber-bullying was a crime. I just want to clarify that before making some comments that could be seen as negative.
Aside from that, I am torn on the use of paparazzi, blogs and celebrities. If it is true that PR reps and celebs are telling paps that Nikki and Ian are at sex shop buying toys, that really bugs me. But the more I think about it, that story and photos had to come from someone inside the celebrity camp. Paps would not be hanging out at random sex toy shops in Canada. Or, if couple was there and just by coincidence paparazzi was too, wouldn't celeb couple just keep walking?
I always assume Hollywood Life and Celebrity Dirty Laundry are making stories up because they are bloggers who never interview anyone and rarely even cite sources. (Hey Nina, don't feel bad about the PDA between Ian and Nikki -- How is that even a story?)
And yet, I find myself reading them, comparing Nina's dress to Nikki's (Nina was hands-down winner). Would I like TVD more if I didn't know any of this real life stuff? I love Delena storyline so much that every real-life event makes me question how/if it will impact TVD.

The source for the pic at the sex shop was an employee who got fired later and made a statement about doing it and selling the picture... If you look for the story I'm sure you can find it. It's best to do your own research and not buy into what the haters are saying about PR. They think the entire relationship is PR and Nian are still together. Of course celebs do use some degree of PR. They may even control the flow of how stories go out, like the divorce stories before the engagement stories (if they are confirmed) but I don't see anything wrong with that. They probably have favored mags that they give exclusives to when they want to get news out as well. That's all part of it. Celebs are front and center because they want to be. But claiming everything they do is PR has no basis in fact. It's bitter or delusional Nians saying it and naïve young people repeat it. Celeb mags write untrue stories all the time. Think about all the Nian are back together reports...none of them were true. Until they (Ian and Nikki) let us know we won't be able to be sure this is true either. |

I don't think 6 months is too short a time to get engaged - in fact, my husband and I met and were engaged after 6 months and we've been married for almost 9 years. Especially since they knew each other for years before. I feel like there was at least a foundation there, unlike most celebrities that jump in too fast. Some of them just get caught up being together on set all the time or traveling together - it's like a real life season of "The Bachelor", and then it's over. If it's real and good, then good for them. End 2 cents.
But, if the whole baby thing is true, then whoa puppy, slow down!!! Lol.
