I'm still catching up! But, just wanted to interject really quick (and nothing really to do with the episodes) about the fight Kurt and Blaine had about the toothpaste on the towel (it was mentioned, not aired) - I'm with Blaine cause that is totally my husband! Good thing for our marriage, we use separate hand towels, lol.

Last episode, FINALLY something not completely and utterly revolting.
First of all, really enjoyed the music (again, FINALLY). Second of all there was some genuine emotion to do with logical plot points that actually made sense for the characters (a nice change of pace lol). And thirdly, no Sue.
Ok, so I haven't posted here before because most of the time I only have bad things to say about this show. But I decided I want to share with you guys anyways, but I hope I don't offend anyone.
This show is my guilty pleasure. I have seen every episode and continue to watch, and will watch until it's over. But as far as I'm concerned it is the worst show on television lol. It's just terrible. It's like a car wreck or something, I'm fascinated by the horror and I cant look away lol. I also love musicals though, so when the music is good I really enjoy that. Like this last episode. But I sometimes I can't find a single redeeming thing about the show and I question my sanity for continuing to watch lol.
There is almost no logical plot progression of any kind. The characters are pretty much always OOC, which basically means there is no natural state for any of them. Just about every single person has done horrible things to someone, usually many horrible things, so there's really nobody that is worth rooting for. The show is constantly entirely inappropriate, in some cases pretty horrifically. They have made their main characters condone such things as r*pe, domestic abuse, gender inequality, bullying, eating disorders, child pornography, pedophilia, and so many other horribly awful things. It's insane.
The past couple episodes have been so completely disgusting I seriously wanted to write and complain to the showrunners. I mean, come on, these are the very last episodes. Would even the tiniest bit of class kill these writers??
Anyways, lol. Obviously there have been good times had, and great music, and some great comedy, and some even beautiful and touching moments over the years. This last episode was one of those kind. And I truly hope the rest of the season can be held to the same standard, so they can go out on a high note. Or as high as Glee gets anyways lol.
Anyways, that's how I feel.

I agree on the quality of the show going down compared to its first couple seasons. I think the show was its best when it had the original characters during those first three seasons and they won nationals together. That was just satisfying since it was well deserved, watching them first not make sectionals, to making it, getting to regionals and failing there to nationals and not placing etc and then all the drama in between.
Season 4 with the newbies, I think the Glee fandom as a whole can agree that not many really cared for the new characters and most of them were carbon copies of the originals so it'd seem like they'd still be there even though they graduated and moved on. Some storylines kind of got a bit annoying and it was hard to enjoy some couples since they'd get a few eps together then out of nowhere one of them would cheat or something silly would break them up over nothing.
One of the first couples I grew to like and was rooting for was Sam and Mercedes in season 3. They broke up, though thankfully over something that was realistic and not dumb, but only for the writers to make it seem like that relationship never existed in season 4 and it was never brought up at all. Then Sam dated another character in the Glee club and Mercedes never showed up at all lol. Then come season 5, the writers remember the relationship again and they get scenes where oh hey they remember this relationship. But by then I just sort of go with the flow of things as far as couples go. I'm enjoying Sam's scenes with Rachel and I wouldn't even mind if they were the endgame couple for Sam's character.
Season 5 was all in New York. While I missed the classroom setting and feel of the Glee club, I mainly enjoyed it because we were back with the original gang of Rachel, Santana, Kurt, Blaine, Sam etc. and I didn't care for the newbies so I didn't miss them lol.
As for season 6 of Glee, I think it's more of a homage to the fandom than anything. It's storytelling is less serious than it's previous seasons and the show this season is incredibly self aware, they say and make references to a lot of things that the fandom has pointed out. Sue's rant to Will about how mistreated the piano player for their club was even though he could play 'any and every song' had me rolling for quite a while lol. They have huge amounts of fanservice for their most popular couples: Klaine and Brittana. The latter of which was a constant complaint of how the couple never really got much focus and now they dedicated an entire episode to it. Sue suddenly being a 'Klaine' shipper, all obsessed with the pairing, referring to them by the pairing name. Having pictures of scenes with Klaine that we know that she was not able to be there with a camera in most of those private moments lol.
I always took Glee more as a comedy than anything and mainly looked forward to the crazy choreography of the next batches of songs they would sing lol so I'm not personally upset about where the season is headed and like that I can have a show where I can just sit back, laugh, and not worry about what's endgame or if a character is suddenly going to turn OOC and do something they wouldn't do two seasons ago. Glee's writing is just all over the place so it was just hard to stay dedicated to it as I am with TVD.
Though I do know there's some people in the Glee fandom who is actually a bit pissed/frustrated with how the writers are handling this season and were expecting maybe a bit more of a serious, final season send off instead of all these crazy shenanigans with Sue and whatnot haha. From tumblr at least it's seems most of the Glee fandom has been a bit 'done' with the writing and are mainly tuning in out of habit, attachment to the characters, pairings they want to see come to fruition etc.

Yeah its true, you really can only expect to have fun with it if you're able to step away and accept that its a crazy show that won't make sense and leave it at that lol.
So I said what I don't like, now I'll say what have liked :-)
I was also a fan of Sam and Mercedes when they started. I was surprised at how romantic that paring was, and the chemistry they had. But yeah, that relationship has been all over the place, and at this point I'm glad they seem to have put an end to it. Sam is kind of a Glee s*** when you think about it lol. With Rachel now in the mix he has dated or made out with every single original female cast member. First Santana, then Quinn, then Mercedes, then Brittany, then made out with Tina, and now Rachel lol. It's kind of ridiculous, but oh well. I think I can enjoy the Rachel/Sam pairing if that's their plan for the end game. I really didn't want the series to end with Rachel all alone.
I love Santana and Brittany. They are adorable. I am also definitely rooting for Kurt and Blaine to be end game. But Kurt has been really annoying for pretty much their entire relationship. He needs to stop being such an idiot. And I honestly just don't understand what the writers were thinking putting Blaine with Korovsky (or however you spell it). Like we were really supposed to believe Blaine would ever be into that guy? I mean come on lol. And then putting Kurt with a 50 year old lol. Seriously, wtf. But anyways lol.
I love Quinn and Puck, and I wish they were full time for the end. I miss Puck especially, he was always one of my favorite characters.
I also really liked Tina and Mike together. That was one of the only times on the show I really liked Tina lol. I miss Mike, I wish he would come back.
I love the music. I have downloaded almost every song they've ever done lol. I'll say like 80%.
I loved Will and Emma's romance, I definitely shipped them. I wish they would have her come back before the end too.
I might be one of the only people who liked the new kids in season 4 lol. Not all of them. But I liked the girl that reminded me of a Disney princess lol, and Puck's brother, and I was into their romance. I was actually disappointed when they left the show, and I wish that they had come back this year. They were really great singers too!
Obviously I also liked Finn and Rachel. I think Cory's death was the end of the series. Everything was so built around Finn and Rachel, there was just almost nothing they could have done to save the story with him being gone. Very sad, for many reasons, obviously.
So, what are some of your favorite storylines/episodes?

Very sad, for many reasons, obviously. So, what are some of your favorite storylines/episodes? Glad to see someone else like Will and Emma! It always felt like such an underappreciated ship in the fandom since it wasn't really the glee kids couple. And I agree with you about Kurt. When it comes to the Klaine relationship it always feels like Kurt gets over the top about the simplest things. It also seems like Kurt is one of those characters in fandom who can do no wrong. He's always defended for his actions while Blaine gets fingers pointed at him. Though the writers help encourage this like by having Blaine date Karofsky. Like you said why him? lol. I was hoping it'd be Sebastain at least (though he's busy with Flash so I see why he wasn't back haha). After what Karofsky did to Kurt in early seasons, it makes no sense why Blaine would choose him. Even though Kurt is the reason for them breaking up over something stupid, Blaine's getting the most flack for who he's currently dating, although he's in his right cause they broke up. The writers should have chosen a random Joe. Also about Sam and all the girls, someone even made a gifset. I hadn't even realized that his kiss with Rachel finally had him achieve that lol. And maybe there's a chance to see the season 4 newbies again if say they come back to complete the 12 needed. Sue scared them off but Rachel plans to get the Glee club there permanetly and she got Kitty back so maybe they can get the others. I can't see this finale passing without one more reunion of all the characters together. Speaking of where is Mike Chang? Scheduling issues or did he just not really care to come back? Though his specialty was more dancing than singing so maybe they didn't have a way to fit him in? Who knows lol. Now on to favorite storylines. I should just say season 3 haha. That was just the crux of the show, everyone banding together to win nationals after all the conflict. Off the top of my head, can't remember exact season, but I loved the Warblers plot when Sebastian was in charge, a bit of conflict with Klaine, his duet with Santana 'Smooth Criminal'. Also that sectionals/regionals of Warblers singing Whistle and Glad you Came! I liked when Glee had the crew go through original songs and the Nyada arc, Kurts audition, 'Not the Boy Next Door' and Rachel proving herself on stage with a solo after she choked on auditions for Nyada. I also liked the New York plot when Rachel auditioned for that one role, forgot lol, and she went back to the very first song in Glee club, Journey. Liked how the writers recreated with everyone in red. More recently I liked Jane's audition for the Warblers, I was embarassed that she was going to suck but she surprised me lol. And to address your note about Finn's death and the ending, I remember reading an article, maybe you can still find it, where the director/writer came out and said what they had in store for the ending, since now they had to alter things. It was about Rachel coming from New York and finding Finn in Ohio or wherever they are and he wonders what she's doing here and she says 'I'm home.' it's been a while so I could be a bit off on specific wordings but it always did seem obvious Finn and Rachel were endgame. Some fans want her to pursue New York and stay single, in honor of Finn. But whatever the writers have in store, I won't mind either way lol.

I'm caught up - I think I'm not sure what night it actually comes on and I just watch it when it pops up in my Hulu queue, haha. I agree that this season is just downhill from many of the last. I loved Finn and Rachel and was really heartbroken for the show when he died. I can't help but to roll my eyes at some of this stuff this season, ND winning the "Sue" Invitational was ridiculous. The set list was God awful and they didn't even have 12 members, lol. I think Sue added that as one of the rules and they still didn't need it. I enjoyed the ND journey throughout the seasons as a glee club so I hope they don't hand the new kids a win at sectionals just because - unless they end up being that good of course. I like the new kids this season - although I liked the ones last season, they were just kind of mimicking the originals. As far as pairings go, I'm rolling my eyes and Kurt and Blaine's love interests...really? I know they will circle back around together, but come on! Santana and Brit are cute, I've always loved Santana and I miss seeing Puck all the time as well. And yeah, where is Mike? I miss Will and Emma as well and his proposal was one of my favorite moments. I wouldn't mind if Rachael ended up with Sam - they are actually kind of cute together. I don't feel like the music choices are that great so far either. Most times I fast forward and I never did that before. The mashups were my favorite part of Glee club in the past, but the ones they did a couple episodes ago were just OK for me. At any rate, I'm watching now just to finish, but if I didn't watch the last few episodes, I don't think I'd miss anything. What a shame too because this was one of the shows early on that I was happy to watch and now I feel like I have to be in the mood (if that makes sense).

Glee has been moved to Fridays which I liked since I had nothing to watch on that day compared to the rest of the week so its something to pass the time haha. Though I also know that a show being moved to Friday doesn't really expect to do good ratings wise. Anywho as stated the six season really is more about fandom fun and going out with a bang than anything. They only have half the eps to work with so they don't have the luxury to build up as well as previous seasons.

So I went back to look for that article with Ryan Murphy that talked about what the Glee ending would be before Cory passed away.
‘Glee’ Ending — Ryan Murphy Shares Final Scene For Finn & Rachel During Cory Monteith’s Eulogy:
“The ending of Glee is something I have never shared with anyone, but I always knew it. I’ve always relied on it as a source of comfort, a North Star. At the end of season 6, Lea [Michele]‘s Rachel was going to have become a big Broadway star, the role she was born to play. Finn was going to have become a teacher, settled down happily in Ohio, at peace with his choice and no longer feeling like a Lima loser. The very last line of dialogue was to be this: Rachel comes back to Ohio, fulfilled and yet not, and walks into Finn’s glee club. “What are you doing here?” he would ask. “I’m home,” she would reply. Fade out. The end.”
hollywoodlife.com/2013/12/24/glee-ending-ryan-murphy-finn-rachel-cory-monteith-eulogy/
Another article mentions this:
The "Glee" creator had said previously that he had planned for the entire sixth season to revolve around Finchel's romance. "The final year of the show, which will be next year, was designed around Rachel and Cory/Finn's story," Murphy said. "I knew what the last shot was, he was in it. I knew what the last line was, she said it to him. So when a tragedy like that happens you sort of have to pause and figure out what you want to do, so we're figuring that out now."

That second part is news to me. So it seems like the sixth season before Cory's death would have been more in line with Glee's previous seasons. It'd be more serious and focus on our core characters and certainly not be all this random, crazy, fandom stuff. It also seems safe to say that Rachel would likely not have 'bombed' in New York to have her come back and start the Glee club as that storyline, fighting Sue to keep the Glee club would have been for Finn's character to work with.

I think I had read all that at some point, because it's very familiar. Yeah, it really was basically the end of the show when Cory died. They just had too much invested in his character and in their romance. It's really tragic for obvious reasons, but it really too bad as far as the story is concerned. I think they just really didn't quite know what to do with themselves after that. I'm glad that we are back at the high school for the end, because (and maybe this is just me, but) I really hated the whole NY storyline. It just felt empty and awkward and kind of depressing. The only real romance was Klaine, and Kurt was such an insufferable pain in the ass that it really was hard to root for them. I think I agree with you about season 3, it might be my favorite too. Although I liked Rachel's birth mom storyline, and Quinn and Puck's baby. Lets see, some favorite episodes: I love the episode in season 1 that Neil Patrick Harris was in, where he and Shue auditioned for Les Mis. And we first learned who Rachel's birth mom was. I loved the music in that episode! I liked the Madona episode a lot. Except for Finn losing his virginity to Santana. I liked the sectional's finale in the first season. Great music, and Finn and Rachel finally getting together. I liked the first Brittany Spears epsiode in season 2. I liked the Rocky Horror episode. I liked all the Holly Holiday episodes. I loved the extra long episode where Kurt came back from Dalton, and they did Born This Way. Also really liked the first Christmas episode where Brittany asked Santa for Artie to be able to walk. But I hated all the other christmas episodes. I liked the firts Prom episode and the finale in NY, even though they lost. And then yeah, most of season 3. I also did like some of the beginning of season 4, but not nearly as much as before. And I hated pretty much all of season 5. I really hope they are able to go out on a high note.

Whoa a lot of those you mentioned are also some things I enjoyed! My memory's crap and I can barely remember most of what happened, let alone what season they were in haha. Enjoyed the Rachel mom storyline and how they sang Poker Face. I like that version more than the original.
In the Rocky Horror episode I liked that song Will and Emma did (hope I'm thinking about the right storyline lol) with the whole, 'Touch-a Touch-a me!' song that I can't remember the real title of. Speaking of another Will and Emma storyline I liked the wedding arc where Emma was going to get married to that one gross coach guy (I hated him haha) and Will sang that Thong song lol. So unexpected!
I also liked that moment you mentioned when Kurt comes back from Dalton and he's all, 'Let's get ready for Nationals!' and I'm like yay the gang is back! And then Blaine and the Warblers perform that song where they're outside on the stairs. I like when they do songs outside. Stero Hearts by the guy with the dreads (I think his name was Joe) and then Tina's 'Hung Up' performance. Speaking of Tina I also liked that little arc where she had a crush on Blaine and then she was singing to him in the club to do the ask out thing and he's just smiling blissfully not knowing that Tina was singing to him haha. I know Tina gets a lot of flack in the fandom and the punching bag by the show's writing as well but I like her character haha.
Which reminds me that entire episode where she got knocked out and had that dream where she and Rachel switched places and then she helped Rachel to get back to performing for Nyada again was also a fave of mine!
Another shout out goes to the storyline when Rachel's mom made another Glee club that at first no one joined but then when conflict arose with Mercedes, Santana, and Brittany they all went to that club. That episode also contained another favorite song when they reenacted the 'Dream Girls' scene with Mercedes that I was able to enjoy fully since that's one of my fav movies that I know all songs in by heart! At the time I didn't really like that the Glee club was split up but it also was an interesting storyline to see where things would go, I wasn't sure which Glee group would win, I almost thought that Will's group would lose and then have to join the Troubletones or whatever they were called lol.
Then we get another great music score with the song, 'We are Young' and everyone's singing and then comes in Mercedes and the rest of the girls and we get this montage of everyone hugging and it was just so satisfying with everyone reunited once more!
So yeah it'd be easier for me to mention storylines that I hated than liked lol but even at that there won't really be that many since I pretty much like Glee as a whole and again viewed it more as a comedy and not as actively involved in the fandom as we are with TVD so it helps to not really be influenced by negative fandom thoughts that can make you dislike the show as a whole.

Glee went back to its roots (dropped the jokes that were present this season) and took on a more serious topic for this episode. I sort of already knew this storyline with Beaste was come since when Glee first started I checked the tag and people were commenting on possible future spoilers.
That was one of the good things about Glee, it was a popular show in its prime and it didn't shy away from showing things like gay relationships and the pressure that comes from not being able to be who you are in fear of being bullied, anorexia, STDs, being molested, catfishing, fear of school shootings etc.
I loved how Unique was brought back, another person who struggled with their identity to help coach Beaste feel more at home. If they bring back the season 4 newbies in memorable ways like this instead of storylines that try to imitate the originals (like the marley, jake, ryder triangle) then I'll enjoy seeing them make appearances as I did with Unique.
I'm not sure what's up with Vocal Adrenaline lately and their attitude. I guess now that we actually get a bit more closer look at them in their environment instead of seeing them only at singing competitions we're seeing their true selves come out more. It's a bit sad that Vocal Adrenaline who's always been the greatest competition for all the Glee clubs can't be talented without having to be self righteous and pig headed jerks.
I liked the part where Shue pretended like he was on their side and was going to pull a prank. I was thinking, oh man Shue must have something in store that will have them be the end of some prank!
I also liked that Shue, despite the money, decided he'd go back to the McKinley Glee club where he felt at home. I was really getting tired of Vocal Adrenaline mistreating him and really having no respect for him at all. I really think their hate was deep rooted in Shue in particular because he was part of McKinley and they beat them to Nationals two times. They had no problems treating Rachel's mom or Jesse with respect.
Even Unique who was a part of Vocal Adrenaline wasn't even shown respect by them, so I'm glad Shue got them back and had the last words saying that he quit.
Also we got to see Emma make an appearance! Her character is so sweet and enjoyable! Their family scenes made me smile!
So yes I really enjoyed this episode and the focus away from tongue in cheek jokes and references for a bit to get back to a serious topic. Loved Sue sending the hounds on Vocal Adrenaline haha!
Though one pet peeve I did have about this episode was Klaine. I mean of course it's Blaine who always has to cave. Who always has to be that awkward party, it's never Kurt who cheats. Blaine has now cheated twice for the sake of Kurt and Klaine is just getting old and repetitive for me now.
I don't see how Blaine could go from breaking off with Kurt and being perfectly fine with his relationship with Dave to being the one who ultimately caved to pressure. I know that Klaine would have some conflicts and it was obvious they weren't really over each other.
But it was Kurt who was shown to have been in the wrong for the break up and he wanted to get back with Blaine right away and it was too late. Then we have Kurt, sabatoging the wheel to be with Blaine. That action told me that possibly Kurt would be the one to try something, to cave to the pressure of being with Blaine, but he was perfectly fine with everything. That just makes no sense to me. Why did Kurt sabatoge to be with Blaine if he wasn't going to have any conflict of feelings in the first place? Did he just wanted to be with a good singer? lol
This is what I mean by Blaine always being made as the one who's always in the wrong while Kurt can do no wrong. The relationship feels very one sided to me. Why the hell is Kurt double dating with that Walter guy anyways? It's obviously not Kurt's type of guy that he's been attracted to before. It's almost like he owes it to himself to try since this internet guy went out of his way to meet him irl. I don't see why Rachel and Sam wouldn't have a word or two to say about it either. Though I know there's no problem with the ages since by this point Kurt is well past 18, but again this doesn't even seem like Kurt's type of guy he'd be interested in. That and I'm so tired of Blaine being made as the one who always causes the drama in this relationship.
And as you can see, this is why I try not to get too invested in the romantic relationships as I would just find myself getting mad from the inconsistent writing overall lol.

Yay, another episode I liked! Though I agree with you about the Kurt thing. I was looking forward to seeing him fight for Blaine for once, and now they've turned it around AGAIN. So frustrating. And his relationship with that old guy is so messed up, it really bothers me. That guy looks older than Kurt's father! But anyways, liked the songs ok, though not my favorites. Sam and Rachel are starting to grow on me, lol. Kinda cute. And although I get Will wanting to quit, I think it's kind of nuts that he did that. Now he is out of work with a new mortgage and a baby ... not the most responsible choices that man makes :-(

I watched the last two episodes this weekend. Yes, they definitely got better with these last two, the songs were better and the storylines have gotten less cheeky. I actually caught myself watching more than surfing the web, lol. I agree, I love Blaine and I was thinking that since Kurt sabotaged the duet that he would be fighting for him, but then when Blaine kissed him, he just let him go! Blaine dumps Dave and goes to profess his love to Kurt and he's headed out on a double date with Mr. Old and he doesn't even mention the kiss? Lame move Kurt. I guess Rachel and Sam saw nothing wrong because as far as they know, Klaine is broken up and they seem like they were enjoying getting to know Walter. Glee always knows how to step outside the box for sure and tackle the issues that not many prime time shows will tough. Kudos to them for that. This weeks episode was sweet - the whole girl wedding planning parts were cute and their dresses were perfect for them. Still not sure how we got to a Blaine and Kurt wedding since they literally got back together 2 seconds earlier, but I'll let that one slide. It was very sweet nonetheless. I don't know how many episodes are left, but you can tell they are trying to wrap up some of these SLs nicely for us. Mike Chang came back (briefly)! Good to see him, and that was funny what Tina did - I was like, don't you dare!! Sam and Rachel have grown on me too. I've always wanted them both to be happy so I'm ok with them ending up together.

I feel like the Klaine wedding is kinda what you mentioned about them wrapping up SLs. This is the last season with only 13 eps, Klaine are pretty much endgame for each other and it seemed like a way to save time to kill two birds with one stone for that wedding instead of dedicating another episode to yet another wedding.
The next five episodes seems likely to focusing back on the competitions for sectionals. It's kinda crazy the end is almost near for Glee lol.
