I'm just depressed because Elena has given up on Stefan. And I just thought that was something she'd never do. I knew Delena was going to happen but I thought she would still show guilt over Stefan and how much she still loved Stefan even though she loved Damon too but I saw NONE of that. DAMON was the one going after Stefan. DAMON was the one who felt guilty. DAMON is the one who has SAID he doesn't want to lose Stefan and he won't let him go. That was all DAMON. So, yeah I'm depressed. I'm sad. I'm disappointed. Because I just never expected this from Elena. What happened to "I haven't given up. I still have hope." "Don't walk away Stefan." "Keep fighting." "I love you, Stefan. Hold on to that." WHAT THE HELL is with this "We'll survive this Damon. We'll let Stefan go then." And her not even objecting to the kiss. And don't tell me she felt guilty because that was all just eye-sexing. DAMON was the only person who felt guilty there. Like seriously? Elena "WELL YOU CAN GO TO HELL THEN ELENA." Wow Can I just say that I respectfully disagree with this. I don't understand what else Elena was supposed to do to help Stefan. What has she not tried to help him? How hard must she fight to keep Stefan? Stefan GAVE UP! On Elena, on their relationship on pretty much EVERYTHING. He NEVER even fought at all so I think if anyone should be a disappointment, it's Stefan. Not Elena. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed in Elena and not Stefan, when she's the one who fought for them, while Stefan continued to disregard her and push her away. And not once fight for what they had. I'm seriously confused by this. It seems like the only way some fans won't fault Elena is if she becomes this pathetic girl that continues to fight for Stefan no matter how much emotional crap he puts her through. No matter how much he hurts her and disregards her. That is not a heroine I'm interested in watching. Elena has every right to move on from Stefan after the things he's done and after putting in her best efforts to try and help him. The rest is on him. If he's not willing to fight for their relationship, she has every right to turn her back on him. She owes him NOTHING else and she's not Stefan's property. Stefan is not a baby that needs to be coddled and protected. He made decisions and voiced his opinions about their relationships loud and clear, and not in the most sensitive of ways. So why do people still expect Elena to stand around trying to win his love back? I found Stefan's statements in the last episode rather infuriating and downright disrespectful. It made him appear like an ungrateful asshole. He doesn't even recognize what she did for him and how much she sacrificed to try and help him. Instead he "claims" that he lost her the minute he left town with Klaus as if this is somehow her fault. Ep: 1 searching for info on their where bouts! Mad at Damon for not involving her in their search! Ep: 2 runs off into a forest with HYBRID wolfs! (um she was crazy and yet she did this!!!) Ep: 3 Goes to Chicago.. almost gets caught in his apartment by Klaus and then has Damon go and distract Klaus so she can BEG him to come home. He refuses her nastily! Ep:4 Elena dealing with the whole rejection, helping with Damon/Care/Bill thing and her necklace debacle! Ep: 5 Klaus and Stefan back in town. Elena tries to talk Stefan out of eating her... screams her heart out, declares her love and cries allot to get a compelled Stefan and to become Klaus's human blood bag anyway! Ep: 6 Elena tries to learn some new stuff from Alaric. Bonfire party ep. Elena sets up an elaborate plan to kidnap Stefan since Klaus is out of town, almost dies in her attempts to lock Stefan up for his own good! Stefan tells her she is stupid at the end of this episode to hope! He mind screws her this whole episode! Ep: 7 get's Lexi's help, locks Stefan out and tries her damnedest to make him feel SOMETHING!!! He says mean stuff to he in the cave!! MEAN STUFF! She says "she wont be a Ghost and he has to fight"! Ep: 8 Damon releases Stefan but Elena is at home with Bekah trying to get her on their side to save Stefan and kill Klaus! Ep: 9 Elena stabs Bekah in the back to set up a plan that would kill Klaus and ultimately free Stefan from compulsion. Stefan backfires on the plan. Elena feels betrayed by Stefan hence the "let him go" sentiment. Elena thinks Stefan is still compelled. Ep: 10 Elena goes to Stefan begs him to give the coffins back because Klaus is threatening her family and friends! HERS!!!Who might Stefan lose Damon?? She loses everyone! Stefan says "not my problem"! Jer almost dies, Jer kills a hybrid, Alaric gets hit and healed then internal bleeding. Elena finds out Stefan didn't betray them. He is not compelled anymore and gives in to Damon's kiss! Wow 10 episodes where Elena is fighting, confronting, dealing and scheming trying to get Stefan free, keep the ones she loves safe and killing Klaus! Stefan went at the start of summer! All summer she was trying to get info on their whereabouts from the sheriff! Come homecoming which takes place in October which is 5 months later and Stefan is fully compelled and betrays them does she finally say..... "we have to let him go". This is 5 months of seeing people she cares about in danger, fighting, putting herself and others at risk, scheming with originals and becoming a human blood bag! 5 months of being MIND Fu&ked!!! Literally by the man she loves! He leaves without a trace! He finally calls and is silent the entire time on her birthday after killing Andie! She goes to look for him twice and the second time he says he is never coming home THEY ARE OVER! She still never gives up. I don't see why after Stefan betrays them that she wouldn't think Stefan was lost! I mean he betrayed them and Klaus was alive! She felt hopeless and helpless then he says flat out her brothers life is not her problem! I would have gave up too after that! What else can our heroine do before she comes across as utterly pathetic and useless? Should she still pine for Stefan now? Even after he fed her blood, scared her, used her and all on the same bridge her parents died on?

I get it!!! I understand your point but we all do things for a reason in life. Doesn't mean it's right or justifiable. Stefan might have the most amazing reason to do what he did but it will never take back that he fed Elena the blood, scared her and took her to that same bridge her parents died on. It doesn't take back that he killed Andie. It doesn't take back that she is dead... KWIM? I in no way think Stefan shouldn't be forgiven. he needs to earn it though! Damon earned his forgiveness and now Stefan when Stefan is ready because Stefan is in no way sorry right now nor has he asked to be forgiven, he should be. But it wont be forgotten. I disagree there. I do think Stefan feels guilt, sorrow, all that. I think his main focus is Klaus, but I can see it in his eyes sometimes. He showed it in the car with Katherine too. But I think it the end, all of it will be worth it. None of them can live their lives freely with Klaus around, espically Elena. He's a threat to all of them. So if Stefan does get rid of him, I don't know if I can blame him for what hes done. I'm not saying he's perfect. When he had Elena and was going for the bridge, it was horriable. That was probably my lowest Stefan moment. But in the end, if he does get rid of Klaus, I don't think I'll blame him. He's done rotten things, but in the end if he makes them all safe, to me that's what matters. Caroline almost dying? What if someone else dies? Alaric almost dying? How many Mystic character have to die or come close to it to make it right? To kill one man? Is this a well thought out plan? Could Stefan have stolen the coffins and I don't know tell the gang he did and to keep away or go somewhere Klaus couldn't get in? He left them helpless. They had to come to him to find out. He is being reckless. So if this plan works out at the end of the day did he do it right? Or could he have protected people and not been a belligerent A-hole about it? Fine it works it's all worth it but he has a SUCKY ASS way of doing things! Our heroine and these characters don't deserve to be used as pawns in a game they never asked nor were warned they were playing.

Klaus wants more hybrids, and she was close to Tyler. I think that was coming either way. I never said it was well thought out. I'm just not going to doubt Stefan until the whole plan is shown. I agree that Stefan has done horriable things, but I don't agree with all the hate he's gotten. Where's the blame on Klaus or even Damon(who is helping him and in on most of it)? About being belligerent? I think he's acting this way for a reason. I agree right now he isn't the best, but until I see what he's really up to, I'm not going to judge him. This show has had a ton of deaths, problems, etc. It's what the show is. I don't agree with everything Stefan has done, but I don't think he deserves all the bashing he's got lately.

Caroline is a direct chain reaction to Stefan! Klaus talked to Stefan then Stefan killed his hybrid in front of him.. Klaus got mad called Tyler told Tyler to bite her!! Klaus even said to Caroline, "My apologies..you were known as collateral damage nothing personal"!!! Klaus told Tyler this "Stefan had two paths in front of him and chose the one to make me angry. I need you to help me do something about that." Tyler fights him about biting her says a bit will kill her and Klaus says "Stefan pushed me too far so I have to push back"!! Stefan was the reason Caroline got bit hence now Forwood being very much over and Tyler getting tortured in the next episode by Cares dad who says something about "you hurt my daughter"! Again... how many lives will be taken or risked for this reckless plan? I judge what i see and what I see is Stefan being very very reckless! And if you go in the DE thread you'll see me not to happy with Damon's comments to Elena on the porch about "being proud". Also I think Damon knows he cant stop Stefan. better to be in the ins to protect others than on the outs! BTW Klaus is a grade A douche bag! he is the villain! All blame is on him obviously! Stefan is not. He was our hero but now..... I don't know. I also said if Stefan wants and changes he should be forgiven. I don't think he doesn't deserve redemption! But while being an ass NO! Why should anyone forgive someone who hasn't even asked for it nor personally wants it!

But I'm sticking with my guy, like Damon fans do with Damon. I don't know what Stefan is doing, but I trust him right now. If things get worse, I'll probably change my mind. I in no way think Stefan is being 100% smart at the moment. But I do think Klaus needs to be dealt with, had Stefan just left it alone, it may be worse. I've been mad at Stefan, and in my opinion, worse has happpened on the show. I agree that I don't know about Stefan's plan, but I'm waiting to see how it goes.

He has never been one to shy away from the tough decisions, but he's always been roasted for them. I find it interesting that you're willing to forgive Stefan for this sort of decision. In the end, I think if Stefan did turn out to be remorseful I could forgive him, too, but then I was one of the people that could forgive Damon for his decisions as well. In this case though this had an emotional impact on Elena alone that she's going to have to work through in order to forgive him. He took something that for her was a sacred and hurtful thing and basically used it against her, took her to the very bridge it happened on and nearly killed her again! I think that would be hard to forgive, especially if he doesn't show remorse in the end for doing it.

Our heroine and these characters don't deserve to be used as pawns in a game they never asked nor were warned they were playing. IMO this whole thing from the very beginning has been a game, this just happens to be a part/level of it. Personally, even if Stefan hadn't taken the coffins, I think Klaus would have came back and reek havoc on Mystic Falls. Given that, I think "our heroine" is much more than the pawn considering how many want her alive or dead since she is a/the doppleganger.

I want you to stick with your guy! That is fine... That is what we do. i stick with Damon. All I was saying was I also stick with Elena. She is my other half of my ship. Yes she pisses me off to no end sometimes but I love her. I also know Damon is an Ass and does reckless crap! He makes me so mad sometimes too. I can come out and admit his wrongs and not excuse him. No excuses for killing Jer only a road to redemption could help him.
All I wanted was Elena to stop being the hated female like in every show... where we back the male character making every excuse for him and bash the female lead. In this instance where I see my heroine who I love being bashed for Stefan's rude, crude and dangerously reckless behavior irks me!!
We can all wait and see I just hate Stefan or anyone getting excused for horrific behavior.
Funny thing is I am one of the rare DE's who loves Stefan! I actually loved ripper Stefan way more than any Stefan! Esp this new vengeful Stefan! I think ripper Stefan was humorous in the games he played. Some saw cruel I saw interesting. But now he is not compelled I wanted to see Stefan who cares but has an edge and all I got was an empty vengeful Stefan.
Him being my 4th favorite on the show it kinda stings.

I'm not going to get into the Damon thing, because like this, I see that different. Stefan isn't perfect, I know that. But in the end, I do see why he's doing all of this. I don't think he's turned everything off. I see little stuff with Stefan where you see he's sad/remorseful. Stefan has done things that made me mad, but I want to see where it all goes. I'm trusting him right now.

But I think thats anyone. I know she's getting a lot of hate from us(SE's) but I think its natural. I've seen just as much anger at Damon. It's the same as the Stefan, Bonnie, or Klaus stuff. In the end we all love the show, but we're all going to get riled up at certain points.

I know people are getting hurt and everything. But, I think it would have happened/been worse if he had let Klaus go.

You don't go off half-cocked and use the excuse that 'you took everything from me' and ignore your supposed love when she tells you that her brother has been nearly killed because of it and say it's not your problem if you have any care to protect the people that love you/care about you. This is what he's done. How can you justify it by saying, "oh well it would have happened anyway?"

I know people are getting hurt and everything. But, I think it would have happened/been worse if he had let Klaus go. The thing is it's a little counterproductive. The thing that makes me think it's more about revenge for Stefan aside from the writers saying this in the interviews is the fact that he was willing to lose EVERYTHING with his gamble of calling Klaus's bluff. Damon tells Stefan in order to call someone's bluff you have to risk losing everything and what does Stefan do, without even taking a moment to ponder this he walks away. Meaning there's no doubt that he's willing to lose everything to get his revenge on Klaus. Then there's the fact that he did nothing or showed no concern for lives clearly in danger i.e Jeremy's and Alaric's, and to some degree Elena's human life. How can you be willing to risk everyone to protect everyone? That doesn't make any sense. As by his methods there will be no one left to protect. How can he be doing this to protect people when he's putting them in direct danger. It's a contradiction. I think Stefan's primary concern is his revenge, he even says it's all he has. I don't even think it's a question at this point.
