Well this thread is for the negative Nancy's like ME! I'm sure not everyone is in total DEspair yet but I have been since 3x14 and I thought this episode might bring me out and NOPE!

So April 19th is pretty far away and if I want to be really negative I need a place to do it where my negative comments will be appreciated by other negative comments!

Call this the opposite of the Denial Bubble. The opposite of the DE Bomb Shelter. The bubble we are happy in our denial and the shelter is where we escape when DE is on a roll and bombs are over our heads.

This place is just for NEGATIVITY!

And after last nights episode I feel plenty of it and it wont change until after 3x19 maybe. If they don't F this road trip up!

First this is crap! Why give us hands and we not know whose they are? REALLY? Again with the "IS it? Or isn't it" game they play with DE's!!!

This is the place for me, alright. I feel at home already. The hand holding thing is such a joke and worse yet is that people are talking about it. I wonder if the writers get a laugh out of all of us actually believing DE could happen every week only to pull the rug out from under us. I wonder if they get their jollies off of that.

I don't even think I could count the number of times they have made it seem like DE is happening only to find out it isn't, this last week included, in a 'dream' sequence. wtf? There really are only so many times you can play me for a fool, but I'm sure they will keep doing it until they have played us all out and we leave in disgust. How can they really hate their fanbase THAT much? I'm only going to list a very few and you all can chime in with more:

Let's see, there was kissing Katherine.
There were inumerable other times Katherine TRIED to trick Damon into believing she was Elena.
There was the deathbed kiss that was forgotten come season 3
There was the REAL kiss that Elena then renegged on and said it 'wasn't right,' and 'it wasn't going to happen again.'
There were multiple episodes that were touted as being 'game changers' and 'triangle busters,' that have yet to produce ANYTHING for DE.
There was the dream sequence yesterday.

When she tells Stefan "She doesn't know what she feels".

Elena never finding out that he told her he loved her, brought back the necklace then compelled her.

The whole Alaric walks in on every intimate scene.

This so called "Elena is going to be REALLY jealous" and all we got was a bit of bitching to her friends.

Her speech about saving Damon and then goes with Stefan's plan and doesn't even see Damon hurt or the damage that was done! (that pisses me off. I wanted to see her reaction to Damon all hung up there)

They made me feel like it was a rescue mission episode. That Elena would see Damon and it would bother her in an intimate way but NADA! Who sees him Stefan? The guy who is out for blood. THANKS WRITERS!

Elena saying Damon's love is the problem.

Elena telling Damon that he needs to stop pushing people away.

Elena snapping at Damon after their visit from Alaric.

Damon snapping Jeremy's neck.

Damon wanting to give Kat another chance after she couldn't be bothered to even look for him all those years.

Damon constantly being the one to fall for Kat's pretending.

Elena not checking back up on Damon after his torture session.

Well this is more of scenes that I hated in general. But the one step forward two back is annoying. I want us to be able to get progress without Elena saying something to mess things up or Damon sleeping/killing someone to prolong DE even more.

Yes, it gets old being played so obviously because it really is obvious at this point what these writers/JP are doing. One episode is DE, the next is SE and back and forth. We make progress, they take it away again...snore....

At least in Dawson's Creek they had Joey torn for only like 4 episodes. But we knew it wasn't between Dawson and Pacey. We knew who she loved and wanted to be with..Pacey! But she was scared to lose her friendship with Dawson.

They had heartbreaking scenes because P&J wanted to be together so bad! But stupid egg head Dawson! At least it was there. With TVD it's like we still get her being all wishy washy!

I'm sorry you cant ask the man to die for you, protect you, die for your friends...ask him "where were you"? KISS him and then tell Stefan "I don't know how I feel". You cant confess it to Matt and the one person you actually OWE it to you act all confused. I'm just an innocent doe-eyed space cadet!

Seriously I hate the promo when she tells Damon, "Stefan thinks I have feelings for you". Well MATT knows you have feelings for him. Why do you have to make it into a question when Damon and Stefan are present but make it as clear as water talking to Matt.

Yes I know it's easier to talk to a friend but she doesn't owe HIM the truth! She owes Damon and Stefan!

And this is where I am angry at the writers! SHE is 18 but damn it she can be mature all of the other time???

It's stupid and pointless. She obviously loves him. Everybody and their dog knows she loves him. Even freaking Stefan knows she loves him! Yet she's going to say she doesn't know how she feels? For real? I've never seen a single character so prone to denial fits as Elena Gilbert.

Yes that line, "Stefan thinks I have feelings for you." Why does every convo with Damon and Elena always seem to revolve around Stefan all the time.

It makes it seem as if Elena chose Damon to go with her on this trip because of that like she's going to try and prove Stefan wrong or something. Even though it seems to be DE centered it's hard to even feel optimistic about this ep because of the lack of DE we got in 3x18 and how she couldn't even answer to Stefan about what she feels for Damon. How are we to believe in this ep that something like a kiss or even a confession will happen when nothing follows up anywhere!

What makes this even worse is they have Damon all vulnerable and asking, "Do you?" because it's so hard for him to believe. I hope he gets an answer he wants to hear because ultimately this ep could really destroy DE. Elena could feed him the same line in 2x01 and after what she recently told him in 3x14 I hope he's not in for another disappointment from her. If so JP better be off twitter for the next few hmm maybe years because I'm sure after that DE fans will have had it. Some are already done.

I'm kind of glad for this break cause I'm at the point where I'm dreading this ep a bit.

I read that the ratings are continuing to slip but I couldn't find this week's yet...will have to go looking again.

Hmmm...yeah down 15% from last week but still not so low that it hasn't dipped that low before at times.

I just want to know already...one way or the other, if DE is going to happen or freaking NOT! I'm getting to a point that I don't care and I don't want to BE at a point where I don't care but they've put me there, me and alot of other people.

Yeah, I think there was one other episode that matched it. If it sinks more, which frankly I think it's going to after what they just did, and especially with the hellatus, then it will be at it's lowest ever. They've been sitting here at this make it or break it spot too long now and people are bored with it. Even the supposed 'exciting twist' this week made me yawn. I'd already guessed all of it. There were no surprises, just disappointments in the DE department.
