at the browsers shutting down. I don't think it's ever mentioned by them though. We'll have to wait for this upcoming episode. I think they just told him to leave and get on with his life with some family friends. How he goes from HS (being a grade below the rest of the gang) and straight into College (looks like he may be living on campus?) is a mystery...=\

LOL Jeremy is not in college. Who said that? They sent him to Denver to live with some relatives and go to school there.
And they have said it before that although the books were a lot of school settings they didn't wanna focus so much on it and I don't really miss it but i see where you coming from. This season we have only seen our actors in the school like 3 times...
Prank Night The First Day When Elena was running around the track And not Even Homecoming lol because it was in Tyler's House Oh and now the Decade Dance
They have yet to even show how Alaric has been teaching especially since he is the only history teacher lol

I also agree it should've been a College setting. They were all in the same College. Maybe a small college in Mystic Falls who cares lol
but maybe they wanna show what they wanna do when they "grow up" they act way older then 17/18 anyway. The actors on these tv shows all act older because I sure wasn't going through what Elena was going thru when I was a senior lol I even thought during the first 2 seasons that she was already a senior because it blew my mind that they were making Jeremy play a freaking soft more.....not with that body lol

Problem with me and some of these shows on certain networks trying to display things as 'High School'. 2 ways to mess it up: they don't get the approach right where you know they're in school or the actors leave you so out of tune that they're playing a 'high schooler'. These people are hardly ever at school and lately, it's only been for dances it seems or the odd moment where a scene could have just as likely taken place in a shack and nothing would have been all that different. That's one thing I like about Teen Wolf at least. They do keep the school aspect constant. In TVD's defense though (??), this whole Originals thing pulled them way too far out of that zone to even keep with the school getup but they still try, even with bringing Bekah into it. It just seems so half-assed in that regard. Next time they do a few months time jump, just have them graduate already and drop the school thing. Some people are going to need some jobs though. We know where Matt gets his money from (wonder how much he has left over after bills) but what about Caroline & Bonnie? Even Jeremy got a part time job at the Grill (even though with the losses in their family, him and Elena shouldn't have to worry about money, with Alaric even leaving everything to them if he dies). Speaking of Alaric, with his shoddy attendance record as a teacher, where does he get his money? Real world logic doesn't apply to this show and it just smacks me in the face every time I try to apply it to a given scenario/situation

I don't know why they wouldn't want to focus on the high school aspects though. It's a teen vampire romance. That's where things started and it keeps it more realistic. It's one of the reasons why it's so hard to relate to Elena. We never see her just being a normal girl. Study for a test, write in your journal, complain about not having matching shirts for your pants. They gave her the whole speech of wanting a normal life and all that yet she blindly goes into plans that could wind up getting her and everyone else killed like it's no problem. I'd like to see her say, "Sorry you Salvatores take care of this. Some of us has a test to study for tomorrow." I mean it may be boring but hey it's realistic But with all this original and doppelganger stuff going around there's way too much plot to really delve into the school things so it hasn't been much of a focus. I liked every episode that did happen to focus when they were in school. The prank night has been one of my favorite eps of the season. They're seniors reap the benefits! But oh well. Either way we're likely going to see the gang go through some graduation process probably by end of next season despite the fact that the high school should have kicked them out already with all those absences

Ok, just finished reading 'City of Bones' from the Mortal Instruments series and wouldn't mind seeing it turned into a movie/show. For a show, they'd have to tailor it a bit in a different direction but the pieces are there to make something great/interesting. Take a Buffy/Supernatural approach in the setup with a main story arc (Clary trying to find her mother for instance while being introduced to the Shadow World) but can have a 'Weekly Monster' kind of setup where Clary is steadily introduced to this new world with the Downworlders and Demons and we get to see a large variety of them over a season.

Well like we were talking about in the other thread 50 shades has been brought to make into a movie...I think I would prefer to see it as a HBO show lol that would be interesting and they don't have to limit the sex scenes lol but lets see how that goes

An HBO show would probably be best. It'd fit right on in with their usual content and they wouldn't have to hold back with it. But if Universal Pictures picked up the deal, they're most likely going forward with a movie =\

I think a Mortal Instrument movie is in the works for 2013. I am really disappointed in the cast so far. The guy that is going to play Jace is pretty weird looking like a pixie or something. The actor playing Alec is better looking. Lily Collins is to play Clary and shes got some Peter Gallagher brows going on =/ I thought Clary was supposed to be pretty and not realize it. Not trying to be mean. I pictured someone like Jane Levy to play Clary. I really hope they don't screw up the casting for Isabelle and Simon.

I think Lily Collins is pretty...>_>
But lol at the guy listed on IMDB for Jace (Jamie Bower). Holy ****! I can't fathom how the people in charge of casting pick people like this guy and Rob Patterinson or whatever the hell his name is for Edward in Twilight and think "Yeah, this is the kind of guy that will get the girls all hot and bothered and has the allure that's supposed to be portrayed by the character that draws in the lead female". It's mind blowing to me.

what is the mortal series about? I need some new books to read lol From the FAQ on the site: City of Bones is the first of three books in my young adult urban fantasy trilogy, The Mortal Instruments. City of Bones is about a fifteen-year old girl named Clary Fray, whose search for her missing mother leads her into an alternate New York called Downworld, filled with mysterious faeries, hard-partying warlocks, not-what-they-seem vampires, an army of werewolves, and the demons who want to destroy it all. She also finds herself torn between two boys — her best friend, Simon, for whom she’s developing new feelings, and the mysterious demon hunter, Jace. She becomes a part of the secret world of the demon hunters, or Nephilim, and as she does she discovers that rescuing her mother might mean putting their whole world in jeopardy. City of Bones is followed by the second book, City of Ashes, and the third, City of Glass.

I enjoyed The Mortal Instruments very much. The Infernal Devices were a bit disappointing. It was basically the same story. It seemed like all the author did was change the names.
