Stefan DID just let Elena die. He didn't do anything to help her escape on her own, just left her down there to die alone, not unlike his brother as a matter of fact, got left alone to die by Elena. Funny parallel that cause if she had continued on to Damon she would have lived but he might have died at Alaric's hands. How do you know he didn't? Didn't what? He grabbed Matt and left. We saw that on screen and her seatbelt was still on when she died. He's a vampire, he couldn't release her seatbelt and grab her arm and drag her up, too? He couldn't exhale some air into her lungs? He doesn't need it after all. There were things they could have showed us that he tried to do to save her, too. If it had been Damon you know he would have saved her. There's no question. |

She doesnt they are going by what they saw and yea he had time to think underwater while two people were dying and I agree he couldve done something like maaybe unbuckle her belt and get her to come out but they didnt show it. I honestly believe stefan thought he would have enough time to get to her or even give her some air so she can keep breathing.
BUt the writers wanted to have that scene that way so yea they did it purposely so Damon can have something to get at with his brother and Stefan can have something to feel guilty about.

Well you have a point there...these writers...argh! I'm kind of disappointed in her being a vampire already though. Although I wasn't adverse to it at all. I know alot of people were.

I think Teppy saying your comments are invalid and you saying "Next argument" like you dismissed it is the same thing.. I agree with Teppy in the sense that anything does will be look at like hes a dick. As a Fan of BOTH STEFAN AND DAMON I am not biased about either character. Stefan has done things that have been bad YES him taking extremes to threaten to to drive Elena off the Wikery bridge was horrible and also heartbreaking. DAMON forcing Elena to drink his blood(the 2nd time) was Damon at his desperation. I wasnt even upset with him when he did it. I felt it was hearbreaking that he doesnt trust enough and he screwed up but he has made up for it. Stefan did not leave Elena to die. Teppy again made valid points when it came down to it he didnt have enough time to save both. Maybe Elena felt she can hold out a lil more since Matt was unconscious and she wasnt. I dont think Stefan is a punk for doing it, Maybe the writing in that scene couldve been a little better showing stefan saving both but Elena ran out of time anyway Is Damon going to cut ass on Stefan for choosing Matt first YES AND i dont blame him for it, Same way Stefan will feel the same way. Also you made a comment how Stefan never lets Damon die. AGAIN teppy made a point that he wouldnt let Elena just die either. You said many great point on how Stefan chooses his brother first but yet Im always seeing how Stefan could care less about Damon. So that confused me. I have more to say but there was so much said that my mind is all over the palce Thanks Ruby!! You def said it better then me.  Doppple- I do apologize for being a bit condescending myself that was not my intention, but I agree it did come off that way. Thanks Teppy  I'm sorry, too, if I came off that way. I have been a little bit more gruff lately with everything with the show and rl stuff not that it's an excuse but sometimes I don't realize it. But I love our Stelenas here. You're the best of the best, really good people and I mean that. It doesn't mean I'm gonna like Stefan though.  |

Anyway I do not think Stefan is a dick. He has done somethings that are douchebag moves but overall he is not a dick.

And thats what I believe Elena did she wouldnt let stefan help her until he helped Matt first |

Yes, and she died because of it. I already know this is one of those controversial things. I just don't agree with letting someone you love die or even possibly die if you can save them. It's not even consistently what he does. He wasn't giving her a choice when he had threatened to drive off the bridge with her not so long ago, or when he fed her his blood, or when he told her she shouldn't have gone out to Bonnie's Mom's house cause it was dangerous. There's been tons of times he hasn't given her a 'choice.' Yet this one time when she's underwater and death is a real possibility he chooses to listen to her. It's nuts and bad writing mostly. |
