I was thinking this show could have been paired with Nikita. There is alot of action and they would have complimented each other. I was itching for him to get closer to his sister rather then run to laurel. I like how he came out at his mother. I feel like he has a right to be upset. He just came back and they want him to run a company with his cast away mda! Pmao Nikita's pairing on Friday night is just mind boggling. America's Next Top Model if I recall? This and Nikita are a match made in heaven. CW could have an action night with the 2 paired together. The talk him and Speedy had did make me want to see the 2 reconnect. Speedy in the comics goes down a slippery slope with drugs and if they're even flirting with the idea here, it would be a good idea for Oliver to spend any available time with his sister. She seems to have hit drugs when she thought he had died so now that he's back, he has a chance to pull her out by actually supporting her and being there for her rather than just pickpocketing whatever he sees her buy. Can go either way though. He cheated on Laurel with her sister and she's dead now so I can see why he'd want to go to her to open up/connect with the way things are with them but Speedy is very much as important too. Agree on his mother. Trying to force him to the head/face of the company after just spending 5 years on an island and with the world/city thinking he was dead all this time? How about some time to reintegrate/catch up with people and not throwing him in the deep end of running a billion dollar company when before that, he was the party boy. Sheesh! I think the reason his mother may be doing it is to bring him closer so that way when he is running it, she can introduce him to whatever organization she's involved with and he can become a puppet/officially apart of them and use the company for whatever benefit they need or whatever arrangement the father may have had.

*sigh* Pearl. Why do you always kill the people I like TVD? Arrow being paired with Supernatural is a bit odd. It does seem like it would be better with Nikita. Supernatural could probably fit with TVD (though I've never really watched Supernatural). It was weird how Oliver's mother called him irresponsible. Ummm, he just came back from being stranded on an island for 5 YEARS. How about give him some time to adjust? BTW, I just wanted to mention that I loved the "What's Twilight?" "You're better off not knowing" quote from the pilot.

SPN and TVD go hand in hand. We can watch TVD and then watch SPN and see a real brother relationship. Arrow and Nikita perfection and Beauty and The Beast cancelled. LOL
Anyway love this series so far! I'm so intrigued to know the mystery behind the mother. Where is his sister from? Was it Gossip Girl?

I heard the premiere was the best in the past 3 years (since TVD?) for CW and I've read a lot of positive talk about it all around (from general people and people in the comic know). Still think when S2 rolls around, if Nikita gets another one, they should be paired up and play off of each other. I know nothing about ratings but Nikita's premiere had a 0.3 and I don't think it being after Top Model is helping it at all. It's like it was slotted after Top Model at the end of the week to die (since it doesn't have a capable partner in crime now).

I'm kind of surprised that Oliver is coming out to Dig so early. I think he kind of feels bad about all the times he's tried to shake Dig and all the guy has wanted to do is his job and Oliver probably feels that given the situation, it was the best time to do this and it makes it easier on both of them cause Dig now knows where he's going and Oliver doesn't have to shake him anymore. Also kind of surprised he's so calm about his ex and his best friend. I know he doesn't have room to say anything (he cheated on her with her sister) and he was dead to them for 5 years but I guess they expected that 'old' Oliver would have blew up on them about the whole thing (Laurel said he knew cause of the look on his face when Thea told him). Club scene was pretty good. Oliver had to hold back from putting the smack down on the goons and his best friend (need to google his name ) comes and pretty much puts himself in a position to get a beating too until Laurel steps in to get their backs. Just awesome. It's funny that Oliver chews out his mom about Thea and the parenting thing when Thea obviously looks up to him. I know he's got the Green Arrow thing going but I think he'd have an easier time getting Thea on track, if he spent more personal time with her instead of just catching her at clubs and stuff and trying to be the responsible big brother there. I had a good laugh at the scene between Oliver and the one tech girl when he took the computer to her to salvage the harddrive. Was also glad to see that the Detective is having some doubts about the Arrow in some regards. He didn't believe it was him who killed the current target and then Oliver feels he can trust him enough to help his other persona. I think they'll have a few rough patches but I can see this going up/building into something that benefits them both (cleaning up the city). I think the whole 'vigilante' thing will be the thing that keeps them at odds though. And really? A night club right above where you have your secret hideout? All it takes is some drunk SOB to wander down there and BAM! You have to kill someone to keep your secret. We also learned a bit more about the island. We find out who saved him and it seems the guy is living 'off the grid'/in the wild. There is some 'military' sort of presence on the island that they have to avoid (we'll get to see Deathstroke) so I wonder what that's all about. Enjoying this series more and more with each passing episode.

I just knew he was going to tell Dig. So he's supposed to be protecting him but he's got his back if he needs it. It's perfect.

What are TVD's numbers (viewers)? And I figured he'd tell Dig eventually but not this early I'm surprised but at the same time, it's nice that they're moving ahead with that already and can come to an understanding about Oliver dipping out at times. It's easier on Dig now cause he doesn't have to worry about 'losing' his client and going back to the house to get chewed out by Oliver's mom for losing him again. I actually just tried to google him (John Diggle) and can't seem to find anything comic related on him (to see if he tries to help out Green Arrow since he seems physically able to, in hand-to-hand as we've seen) so he must be original to the show.

The second episode TVD was between 2.5 - 2.7 million as I recall depending on which site you checked, so not so great, certainly not as good as Arrow is now.

Well after that last episode when he realized he couldn't cover all corners of that area he realized he needed backup and Dig proved he could hold his own so I think that's why he decided to let him know. I think he knew Dig would not tell on him after their relatively deep conversations about some things previously.
