Just watched last night episode. This show is soooo good! But Laurels dad? How did they find out? I'm a bit worried! And the boat! That mom is up t something and her new hubby has no clue. I'm worried for him. Also he said "the list" so we know about the list but really WHAT IS THE LIST? I'm interested and intrigued to find out. This show is getting good! Best new show by far!

Laurel told her dad that the Hood was in the prison wearing a guard's uniform and a ski-mask, not his usual costume. I guess he suspected that the guy had to change on the scene at times and he went with the hunch that the same must of happened at the shooting with Deadshot and he saw a security cam with Oliver going through the trash can and getting the gear out.
Oliver's mom...why would they retrieve the remains of the boat? Wouldn't that stuff be better off at the bottom of an ocean?
The only thing we know about the list is that it's of corrupt people in power. Since Oliver's mom is meeting with people who are worried about the list and obviously had concerns/reason to kill her husband, I think it's some sort of group that's probably running Starling City as they see fit. If Oliver is taking out the people on that list, then their whole operation starts to fall apart (certain members acting as 'support structures' for the entire thing) or the others start to get exposed. That's my assumption.
Someone on another board made an interesting suggestion as to how Oliver is going to get cleared though. Not a spoiler but a logical theory:
Since Dig is now on board and knows where the hideout is, sometime during the investigation/trial, he may don the suit so to mislead the police into thinking that they have the wrong guy and that whatever evidence they do have (the video) is circumstantial.

Huntress who's currently scheduled for 2 episodes, played by Jessica De Gouw: EW"She is the dark mirror version of Oliver," said Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg, "and it was a nice contrast to him because he’s pretty extreme. He goes a lot further than not only his comic book version but lots of comic book characters — most have a code of draws the line against killing... Oliver has taken the darkness inside with him and is doing something positive with it. She’s taken the darkness inside her and is seeking revenge and doesn’t care who gets hurt in the process."

I'm very curious to see how Oliver is going to get out of this mess. I'm also surprised that something like this happened so early in the show.
I'm glad Dig is on board and Laurel bores me. I also really like the IT girl and hope she stays.
I'm excited to see John Barrowman on this show.
We need to see more of the island.

They're not pulling any punches on the pacing on this show. Stuff you expect to kind of be drawn out (Oliver revealing his identity to someone, getting that person on board, being caught/brought up on charges as the Hood, the stepfather stumbling on what the wife is doing, etc.) is getting done fairly quickly and we're what, 4 episodes in? And the show has a full season order? I'm hooked on 4 episodes and with this pace, you can only wonder what they'll do going forward in revealing stuff.
And Laurel is kind of 'eh' for me too at the moment. Thinking back, I don't like how she just flipped on Oliver/the Hood when he 'snapped' trying to protect her. She did a complete 180 after seeing that when he was helping her protect and save an innocent man. Just don't like her attitude (or her dad's honestly) with the whole 'justice' thing and I'm waiting to see how Huntress interacts with him to see if they hit it off better.

I'm not a big fan of Laurel either and I don't really find that Laurel and Oliver have chemistry on screen. I don't know the comic book version of this story but from what I've seen of the show I'm assuming she's the "love of his life" and honestly, I really can't see these two together. I'm VERY happy they haven't gone the TVD root and put the romance center stage. If they did or do end up going there, I don't think I could keep watching. Don't get me wrong. I love the show and was hooked after episode one but the chemistry between these two really put me off any kind of love story for them. I loved that Dig is now on board and yes I agree, he will don the hoodie and pretend to be the Arrow to get Oliver out of trouble. I like the fast pace reveal of the show so far. I hope they don't go so fast as to run out of material. One thing that bothers my is I don't know why the mother would bother to keep the boat in the warehouse where it could potentially be used as evidence against the mysterious group?

In the comics, 'Black Canary' (Laurel) and Green Arrow get married. We still don't know if the show will follow that route (Laurel showed she had some hand-to-hand skills but forgot them in the prison. I guess the guards took that at the screening). But in it's current form, they really have to work at it if they're going the romantic route with them. We know they dated before and there is some bad blood between them (Oliver cheating on her with her sister) so that's kind of a decent reasoning for the time being.
That's what I don't get. Why the hell would Oliver's mom keep that evidence on land, in the city no less, instead of at the bottom of the ocean where no one knew? Oliver was lost for 5 years (on an island with people) but was never found in all that time so who would find the boat at the bottom of the ocean? They could have left it there.

She's going to rebuild it, rename it, and save it for Oliver's honeymoon. It's the only thing that makes sense.

SO SPOILERS. DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU WANT TO FIND OUT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED IN THE EPISODE.
So Oliver knew about the camera and deliberately let himself be seen. Very interesting. Let himself get captured and then have an ankle bracelet on to have Digg take his place as the Arrow. Meaning he couldn't have done it. This plan seems to depend on too much going EXACTLY right but I'll go with it.
Lots more with the island and the appearance of Deathstroke. Really liked how Oliver would not say who the guy with the arrows was even when he was tortured. I have no idea who the other people on the island were though.
I'm also starting to really like Walter and I wasn't expecting too. I'm not sure who this shadowy corporation is but they really mean business.
Laurel remains boring. She and Oliver have zero chemistry. I guess it just depends on if they want to remain true to the comic book canon. Honestly, I think I'd ship Thea + Oliver if they weren't brother and sister. They have more chemistry than Laurel/Oliver.
I think it was a good episode.

Just watched it. The show keeps going up, up, up for me. I kind of liked Laurel and her dad this episode, if for nothing more than Oliver kind of clearing the air with them. Laurel didn't know about all the stuff he went through on the island but she was also suspicious about the prison question of the polygraph cause she knows they went there on a field trip. I do kind of like that they touched on the fact that they still care for each other but they can't be with one another. I figure that'll put some distance between them for now, maybe rebuilding their friendship at first, and then try and give a relationship another go later in the series. Walter is becoming a favorite too. Him actually coming out to Oliver's mom about all the stuff going on was quite the move on his part and now he's moved out of the house. Oliver's mom tried to warn him but she's already laid out the rules for whoever she's working for: come after her family again, she'll burn them to the ground. So Deathstroke is the one who gave him most of his scars. I'm guessing Oliver is the one who kills him (?) or puts his mask on display like it was shown in the pilot as payback. Can't wait to see more of him though (catching the arrow in midair). Loving the island flashbacks. Want to know more about the guy that saved Oliver and what exactly Deathstroke and the other military people are doing there. Since the guy seems to be Chinese military (?), I'm wondering why he's on the island and why the others are searching for him. Dig was awesome. He should don his own hood from time to time since he seems to be able to handle the work. Really enjoying how their relationship is developing though. I really do hope that Oliver trusts Dig more and doesn't 'play' him like he did with keeping the 'dressing up as the Hood' thing from him till it was needed. Overall, each episode just seems better and better
