From a Claire Holt Interview:
What did you think when Julie Plec told you "Stebekah" would be revisited?
Holt: Listen, I love working with Paul Wesley. He's such a fine actor and such a fine human, so any time our characters get to interact, I'm happy. I'm always a little scared of the Stelena shippers, but I think it's fun. I always enjoyed the Ripper Stefan and I loved the dynamic they had in the 1920's episode. I think it brings out good things in both Stefan and Rebekah.
ETonline: It has to be exciting for Rebekah to finally have him come to her since she's wanted this for a long time.
Holt: It's definitely exciting for her -- Rebekah loves to get her way, so having Stefan come to her was definitely fun for her. But deep down she knows whatever is going on right now is a mutually beneficial relationship -- they're hooking up, having fun, but they have a common goal. She's been in Mystic Falls for a while, she knows what's going on. We'll see if it really leads anywhere, but I think the fans have liked it.
ETonline: Sounds like Claire Holt might be a Rebekah/Matt 'shipper at heart...
Holt: [laughs] I'm a Rebekah anyone shipper. I'll hook up with anyone in Mystic Falls, because, I don't know if you've seen those guys, but they're pretty gorgeous. Listen, I like the idea of her and Matt -- I think it would have given her a more human experience, but she tried to kill him, so I'm not sure that's going to happen any time soon. I'd like to have someone love her. I think it's important.
ETonline: What are you excited for fans to see in the coming weeks?
Holt: The dynamics between some of the characters is going to change. Especially with Rebekah, there's less of the mean girl dynamic as she shares more of a common goal with the other characters. I'm excited for the episodes where they go in search of the cure because a lot of the actors are together in those scenes -- there's lots of conflict but also a lot of getting along, which I think will be an interesting sight for the fans. As important as it is to have separate storylines, these upcoming episodes have us all on the hunt for the cure, and it's really fun to all be together like that.

I feel kinda bad for Claire. Fans can go nuts sometimes and forget that the characters are just that- characters. They're not the person who plays them, even if they do share some personality traits in real life.

Thoughts on tonights episode!
Rebekah and Stefan
I loved them tonight. I was a little skeptical and if it wasnt for Spoilers i wouldve been screaming at my TV is Stefan was going to betray her again. and he def wouldve been on my sh&t list lol. Im glad she opened up to him and said how she wanted to be human again and Im glad Stefan confessed to her at the end even if it hurt but he was HONEST WITH HER and Ladies and Gentlemen that WAS THE REAL STEFAN RIGHT THERE. Someone who cares even if he gets hurt and tries to hide it. Im glad we saw Cracks through that whole I DONT CARE PERSONA.
Bonnie
Total Badass I loved how she owned everyone tonight. She took down two Originals, and her parents and was all like yup The Spirits dont Control me! I control myself. I RUN THIS SH%+ UP IN HERE HAHAHAHA Glad to see Bonnie doing Magic without a Bloody Nose. I just hope that the expression magic doesnt control her and takes over. Which btw everyone is so worried about the cure and Elena but no one has sat down to make sure Bonnie's working with dangerous magic except her parents which i was also glad to see that they care. BTW how Bonnie's Dad has her moms number lol
Damon and Klaus
Ahhh Bad Boy talk and I loved it. I loved Damon's attitude about being bad with a purpose because someone has to and he doesnt do it just for the hell of it. I also loved how Klaus was trying to throw in to get love advice without Damon realizing it and Damon saw right through it. Klaus has it bad for Caroline. His face while thinking Caroline couldnt forgive him was priceless.
We saw many layers of Klaus today from instigator to loverboy to Psycho Maniac...Having to watch his brother die must have been hard for him ;/ but then threatening to burn the house down was hilarious and POINTER KLAUS: if a witch tells someone to invite you in after she just broke you to the ground, take the invite and then dissapear!!! What happened to being 2 steps ahead. you couldve easily accepted the invitation and done a surprise attack later but he was so pissed they killed his brother without letting him suffer on his terms lol
Jeremy SHIRTLESS TATTOO OMG LOL
I wonder now that he has completed his mark if it becomes complete on all the existent hunters because what other explanation would there be for Vaughn to magically appear on the island where the cure/Silas is at
Elena: Warrior Princess today. CUDOS TO HER FOR USING A BOW A GUN AND RIPPING HERSELF OFF A WOODEN POLE. but her plans usually suck and this one almost failed horribly but the setbacks actually worked in her favor I guess. Also her reaction when stefan said Rebekah wasnt daggered priceless...hahah
The tension when Stefan walked in to his house and felt like a stranger AWKWARD! it even looked awkward for Jeremy and Bonnie haha it was funny how they just started ramblng about the plan lol
The Salvatore Low Blows tonight -_- Wasnt really happy with all that I wont elaborate more on that here because I dont want people cursing me out lol

Yes, Bonnie was total badass tonight and I loved it.
I was even very impressed with Elena who seems to forget that she's a vampire now was actually being pretty awesome too. And even though I expected Kol would die tonight so compulsion would be broken and tattoo would be complete, I was surprised at my own surprise when it actually happened. LOL
Nice theory about the tattoo...although I LOL'd when Jeremy ripped his shirt open. Not that he doesn't have a nice body but that seemed a bit cheesy.

Klaus ships Stelena but wants wants to be with Caroline! lmfao. It was pretty rich that Klaus was judging Damon while asking him for advice to make Caroline LOVE him lol. Maybe he's sucking up to Caroline and Stefan hehe. I hate Klaus but he really tugged on my heartstrings mourning kol. 3. Love Ruby's theory on the hunter's mark. Maybe that thing on Jeremy's chest is like a compass too?

Klaus tries to get under Damon's skin perpetually because he's realized that Damon is more like himself than he thought at first. Kol, you poor, sweet, psychopathic idiot. I guess this means he won't be doing anything other than a flashback stint on the originals. Bonnie... erm, well, I guess she needed a powerup if she's going to be the one who raises Silas. Tonight kinda pushed things towards that angle a bit, but it still didn't take any steps towards putting them on the island next week. I bet the effects of expression magic are going to take their toll on her after Silas is up and running again- I just wish she'd see the cliff before she runs off of it, but sometimes that's too much to hope for with ANY character on this show. Yay, Muscles McQueen! I mean Jeremy. I guess Elena had to hit it right with a plan for once.  Klaus... awww. I'd have felt really bad for him except that he killed Tyler's mom two episodes ago. Kinda put a damper on me being able to grieve with him over Kol. Also, LOL on his 'shipping' Stelena. At this point, I think he just wants Stefan to ripper out and tear Elena to pieces. Could be he's really shipping Stebekah. Or he's realized that DE is stronger- hence his needling of Damon. Damon punching Stefan to the floor. Win! I miss Elijah. Although you gotta wonder who's going to take revenge for Kol- Beks is the most likely candidate. |
