I'm not really feeling Steroline right now actually, to be honest. I just don't like Stefan enough to be excited about them. I think Caroline has way more chemistry with Enzo, personally. Here's what I think would make a great storyline: Caroline realizes, officially, that she has fallen for Stefan. We see her pine for him, and do the Joey and Dawson thing of her loving him from the sidelines while he sits around with his head up his a**. Meanwhile Enzo becomes the 3rd point of the triangle, at first just flirting with her because its fun and he likes getting a rise out of her. But then we see him start to really care about her, and maybe start to atone for some of his less shining moments from last season. Eventually there can be some kind of revelation where Caroline confesses her love to Stefan, and he has to reject her because he doesn't feel it. Then finally Caroline sees the light and realizes that Enzo is the man for her, and in true romcom fashion she runs to find him! (or save him maybe, from something bad?) That's what I'm feeling right now, personally. That's a love story I would like to see. As far as Caroline's ships go, as long as it's not Klaus, I'm good lol Though here's the major BUT I have with Carenzo. If the writers go through with it PLEASE let her gain some new perspective of Damon through Enzo. It'd be downright silly to me to have Caroline dating/sleeping with Enzo who aside from Alaric is the only other guy friend who truly actually looks out/cares to have his back, and yet have Caroline still be snooty and make sarcatic quips of how bad and wrong Damon is while praising Stefan. Even worst if Caroline actually manages to turn Enzo away from Damon and have him not give much of a hoot for Damon either. Enzo was already pushing his 'love' for Damon in those last couple of eps so it'd be annoying for him to carry on with the attitude AND have Caroline's influence on him. Though after her bout with Klaus, I'm not sure Caroline even cares for those 'bad boy' types and I hope the writers don't have Enzo try to play the good boy just to grace Caroline's presence lol But yeah if they play the cards right for this pair I wouldn't mind it. Although I prefer Steroline overall lol I agree, it could be done poorly, and then I would be really annoyed. I really want Caroline to finally make her peace with Damon. It's time, its been 6 years. So I would hope it would be the other way around, that Enzo would help Caroline learn some humility, and forgiveness. Maybe they could learn together. I would like to see Enzo reaffirm his friendship with Damon and make amends. Maybe they could bring out the best in each other. And for all his charm and teasing, I don't know how much of a bad boy Enzo really is. He has shown some depth on numerous occasions, not unlike Damon. But yeah, if they went that route, I would rather have Caroline be the one who has to "make the big gesture" rather than Enzo having to prove himself to her or whatever. Anyways, that's just where I'm at right now. Maybe I'll feel differently once it starts lol.

Looks like Ian is looking at the stills for the episode or his storyline.

2014 Fall TV Spoiler Spectacular! The Vampire Diaries (The CW) Me More: Who's ready for some time-jumps?! When we are first reunited with our sexy supernaturals, roughly four months will have passed since Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Bonnie's (Kat Graham) heartbreaking "death." But the flashback we're most looking forward to? Grab your jelly sandals and your acid washed jeans because ET has learned that we've got an amazing blast from the past coming our way: We're going to see what life was like for the Salvatore brothers in the '90s! (Ahem, and yes we're talking about the 1990's.) We're banned from Mystic Falls, two of our main character are dead, and we're all mourning them," she said. "It's like a new shift and a whole new show--The same, but better." In addition, the brunette beauty spilled that Elena and Co. will also be "meeting a lot of new people," which could prove to fill the void that last season's deaths have left behind. www.etonline.com/tv/150683_2014_fall_tv_spoiler_spectacular/index.html?page=MQ==&itmCnt=MzE=

I'm not really going to take the 'whole new show' thing too literally. I doubt that means the writers are going to do things drastically different and suddenly Elena will be with Tyler or some other out there shenanigans. Seems like they mean it in the sense of them not being in the familiar setting of Mystic Falls (no Salvatore house, no Mystic Grill etc.) and will thus follow the characters in new environments.
Also the fact that two familiar faces will be gone, especially Damon's absence considering Damon's character is always front and center and Ian, Nina, and Paul have been in EVERY single episode of the show. Even with Silas' arc, Paul was still there in some form, interacting with his same fellow co workers.
The characters will also be mourning the deaths of their friends and not all of them will be the same held together characters we know them as. We also have new additions to the cast such as Enzo and Alaric who's been gone since season 3 finale. So taking all that into account, yeah the show is certainly going to feel 'new' with the shifts in cast and dynamics, but the core dynamics, relationships, plots will likely remain the same.

Totally agree with you. They are trying to breathe new life into the show and get back to the roots of what inspired this series: Romance, horror, great characters. They will all be dealing with new circumstances and new environments, and some of them will have been emotionally changed by what happened last year, but they are all still the same people for heaven sakes! They're not going to say they've all been body-snatched and now they all have completely different personalities and completely different interests. They will have a chance to develop some different friendships, and maybe some new relationships, but it will all still be organically evolved based on the people they are and have always been. "Whole new show" does not mean "rewrite all the characters completely." It means things will be different, the way life becomes different when big things happen.

From TVLine:
On The Vampire Diaries this season, will we be meeting the leader of Luke and Liv’s coven? –Tom We’ll learn a lot more about the Wonder Twins in Season 6, but before we meet their mysterious leader, we’ll first discover what said coven is all about. “It’s linked heavily into the deeper mythology of the show this season,” executive producer Caroline Dries says. “Once we start understanding why the heck we’re at Whitmore and what their coven is all about, we’ll really understand their plight in life and how it affects our characters.”
I guess we won't be getting rid of Liv and Luke anytime soon ...

Julie said in one of her earlier interviews that S6 has been given a reboot, a reset, that it was a redo, that everyone gets to start over.
Now we have Nina stating in her interview that will the reset it feels like whole new show. From that statement it looks like there was a lot of truth in what Julie said if even to Nina it feels like a brand new show.

I have a theory.... What if Elena's hallucinations aren't hallucinations. What if it's really Damon on the other side able to communicate to her but the spell says it's so she can hallucinate him? But since it's a spell Damon's able to actually talk to her. Wonder too if this is how they find out where they are but no one believes her bc they think she is a spell junkie getting high off hallucinations of Damon? Remember in Buffy when Willow got high off witch craft?

Kat was helping out hosting the ENews show, and ENew asked the fans on twitter to send in questions to Kat using the #AskKat hashtag, and of course the inevitable Damon and Bonnie questions came up, here is how Katrina dealt with them.

I hope all this 'hype' with Damon and Bonnie actually leads to something interesting. Ian already stated that they'll be in the whole 'blue tinted' world thing again. Depending on how long they keep them away from the gang, there has to be something in that world, new supes, other people etc. to keep the Damon/Bonnie segments from getting repetitive (like them talking about/longing to reunite with the others). We've already read some spoilers about Damon being that way in regards to Elena and vice versa. I'm hoping that Bamon stumble upon some new supes in the limbo. Or stumble into a place that 'triggers' memories and we can get some interesting flashbacks.

But that is what so interesting about the Bamon storyline, it is the only storyline that has not been revealed, it has been kept totally underwraps, so no one can even speculate because they have nothing to really sink their teeth. That is not the case with the other storylines. We know what is happening with Stefan, and one of the new female cast members is interacting with him. We know who will be in Elena's storyline, the new doctor, the new student and she will also at some point interact with Aleric, Caroline, Stefan and even Tylor who will have problems of his own. We know that the twins Liv and Luke will have a storyline involving the coven they came from, and so will Enzo. We also know the storyline for Mystic Falls involving this new person who will form a committee that will keep out supernatural beings and this new man will be close to Matt who has started a new life for himself in Mystic Fall, we also know that this association with this man will bring him into conflict with Liz. We know that the episode Ian is directing that one of the scenes involves a DE rain kiss, and that a casting call for body doubles has been sent out with discriptions, and they must not mind kissing scenes or getting wet. Therefore, we have enough to speculate on. Bamon is so secret that all we know is that Damon and Bonnie will bond in the AU. The show will start with them at the end of the time jump, when and if they return their new dynamic will affect the dynamics of the others, and the Bamon flashbacks will be about what took place in the AU during that time jump and these flashbacks will run the course of the entire season. We don't know if Bamon will return in the form they left in or whether they will be different, even though Ian posted a photo of Damon with fangs and covered in blood, but that could be connected to a flashback. All Ian revealed is that Bonnie will see a different side to him. All Kat could reveal is that it is huge, and Julie and CD in their interviews just state what I've posted above, but they change it around a little. This is the first storyline that we have no clear clue how the storyline is going to progress or even who the big bad is going to be in this AU. We know that they appear to be in some sort of limbo, existing between life and death. That they don't know if they are dead or alive or can return to the others but they will try if it is possible.

Yeah I can understand the whole suspense of it being underwraps given the cliffhanger of what happened to Bonnie and Damon, just a white light then nothing. We've been told that the other side will be gone and everyone who's unfortunate to be when it imploded as well. That's the whole mystery.
So I can see why JP wouldn't just come out and 'Oh Damon are being are *insert AU place* and they will be *describe what happened and what to expect*'
That would be way more in depth show spoilery than saying Elena is doing med classes or that Stefan is leaving town and cutting off contact.
And I'm also sure that JP knows that knowing the fate of Damon/Bonnie will be the main draw to tune in next month as she already stated that we'll find out what happened right away.

But, it also means they will have a major storyline, one that will continue even after they return, whenever that is.
