It is spoilered that Kai is going to become obsessed with Elena, so it would appear that he has the means to travel back twenty years in the past and back to the present.
Sarah looking for her father in Mystic Falls could be because that was where they lived. Therefore, it would make sense that it would be the first place she would look.

Going to become obsessed or is he already obsessed?
I wonder if this could possibly have more to do with Elena being a doppelganger. If he can travel back in time he could possibly have seen the line of Petrova doppelgangers and know that their blood is special maybe from 'observing events' throughout the times.

I think JP stated that they will be leaving the doppelganger mythology behind, so I have a sneaky feeling it wont be part of the TVD storyline, however that said, Nina is crossing over to TO to do a flashback scene in regards to Tatia, Klaus and Elijah.

I'm over the doppelganger stuff so that's good. Why does everyone have to be obsessed with Elena in one way or another? And what is Damon going to do about it? Because no one else will get things done. But I wonder if he can hop on the Damon and Bon Bon train out of this alternative universe. Why is he there? Did grams make a deal with him? So many questions on kai.

Yeah I remember JP mentioning that. Though I'm moreso referring to Elena's blood in general being an 'item' that Kai wants.
Elena's blood has always been special, used throughout the series for major spells. Kai wanting her for that wouldn't be anything new mythology wise.
It would explain why he's obsessed with solely Elena in general and not Bonnie or Damon who's trapped with him and possibly the first people he's seen in who knows how long.
Though this is also a personal theory of mine as I'd like to think there's a logical reason for Kai to be obsessed with Elena other than the fact that he just think she's pretty lol

Honestly I still feel pretty baffled by the whole thing lol. I definitely don't feel like I have enough info to be confident in my theorizing haha. There are A LOT of unknowns right now, that's for sure. (And I was off the grid for the weekend, so I'm catching up on everything now, just fyi lol)
First of all, I just wanted to quickly say that although I am not on the Romantic Bamon bandwagon yet, I have every intention of being completely objective in my posts here. I completely respect that this thread was created by a Bamon fan. I am just looking at the information that I have so far, and sharing my opinions about any theories or ideas. I promise that everything I post here will be 100% objective regarding the possibilities of where Bonnie and Damon are, what is going to happen to them, why there are there, and where this is all leading.
As far as who the new girl is in Mystic falls, I have already presented my opinion, but just to reiterate I personally do not believe that she is Damon and Bonnie's child. I agree, Bean, that this place is very mysterious and we don't know how it works exactly. And as Doppel said, anything is possible in TVD. But from the info we have been given so far, which is all I can go on for now, I do not believe this girl is a product of Damon and Bonnie. This is of course just my personal opinion, and maybe I will be proven wrong. But until we are given more info, I am sticking to my theory that the girl is Bonnie's sister, and that her dad is Bonnie's dad, and she's looking for him because she doesn't know he's dead.
If Bonnie's dad had a child by another woman after Bonnie's mom had left him, it's possible that he never knew about the child, that it had been a fling and the woman had never told him. Now that the girl is older, she may have asked about her father and her mother could have told her that he used to live in Mystic Falls, so she decided to come looking for him, not knowing he's dead. Another possibility is that he did know about her, but kept her a secret from Bonnie. Maybe he was sending her money or letters, keeping in touch, and then when he died obviously the money or letters would have stopped, so maybe that's why she came looking for him, to make sure everything's ok. Anyways, that's my theory for now about that girl.
As far as Bonnie and Damon go, even though the paper says it's 1994, the fact that there are no other people anywhere means that, in my opinion, they aren't really in the past. I think maybe they are in some kind of afterlife limbo. I'm guessing that the reason they are stuck in this strange limbo has something to do with Damon, because he is the variable in the equation. Whatever Grams had planned for Bonnie, she hadn't known Damon was going to get pulled into it. So I think Damon being there has messed something up somehow. As far as where they actually are, or why, or how they are going to get home? Honestly I have no freaking idea! LOL. Like seriously, I am stumped. I am definitely curious to find out where they are going with this, that's for sure!
Also, was it officially revealed that this Kai character is the person stuck with Damon and Bonnie? I can't remember if that was just what people were guessing or if it had been confirmed.

Yes Kai's been confirmed, the full spoiler posted by Bean is on page 2 of this thread and you can see what he looks like. Still doesn't look all that villain-y to me but whatevs lol.

I'm interested in Kai's '13 times' line in response to Bonnie saving Damon. Obviously to Damon and Bonnie that was the 'first' time it happened or Damon and Bonnie would have been more aware. So my theory is can Kai see different outcomes of a future? Are all these 13 times a different setting where he tries to kill Damon and it's not necessarily always the grocery store thing?
Is Kai in a whole other loop of his own? He doesn't really seem surprised that Bonnie and Damon are there, because he's already spied on them before. Why didn't he come out the first time he was aware of them?
Still so many questions surrounding Kai. Also he's still not all that scary at the time being, and I don't think he'll ever be 'scary' in the actual sense. He'll likely wind up getting some cool OP powers or something but even then I'll be more like 'cool' than and 'Oh no' sense. It's probably because he has more of the teenage/young model type look to me. He's nice to look at in a 'this guy is cute' sense lol

Because we've been shown that they are AWARE of the fact that they are repeating the same day. And so far it has seemed like it's the day itself only that is repeating. They aren't repeating everything exactly the same each day like a deja vu. So what did Kai mean by that? I really like your ideas Anbu, and I can't think of anything else he could logically mean by it. Definitely a lot of strange and mystery surrounding this Kai guy. Not sure where this is going ...

Hm the only other thing I could see is if possibly Damon and Bonnie, aren't as aware as they think they are and what we've been led to believe. But it can't possibly be that because it doesn't line up with their dialogue at all. So it is a bit confusing overall.
I have another theory but this may get way confusing I'm not sure I'll even be able to put it into words lol. Firstly I don't think this was the peace Grams ensured. It doesn't make sense for her to trap her daughter in the 90's repeating the same day over and over. We can say that Damon is the anomaly. Though what if they got veered off course into another 'dimension' (possibly by Kai or not). The dimension where Kai resides which also couples as a prison for him. There has to be a reason he is here, maybe he's too powerful to be let in the real world. Witches and balance and all that. Let's say that whatever OP powers he has, Kai has some control over this world.
He can do everything but escape because he can't do magic (or he doesn't have the specific thing he needs Bonnie to do). Enter Bonnie and Damon. Kai knows that Bonnie's magic is the ticket out of here but she doesn't have it. Enter him observing Bonnie and Damon and trying to come up with a way to get her to use her magic. He figures Damon is the key. So there's an event that's always set to happen. This event is Kai trying to kill Damon to get Bonnie to activate her witch powers. Kai has tried to kill Damon '12 times' before in different scenarios but none of them have worked. So he 'resets the day'. He might even 'tamper' with their minds so that they don't remember the event otherwise what's stopping them from being prepared and killing him.
He keeps them aware that someone is there so that they will always try to come find him. Kai might be making the days specifically the day of the eclipse whether that's a certain power to harness or whatever. Though since they've been there four months but this has only happened '13 times' that means there's some times that things didn't work out as planned. Maybe he's only allowed to do so much and then resets the day.
Well anyways that's my convoluted theory which may just be way off the mark lol. Though I do love the idea of Kai being 'self aware' and he has all of these different alternate memories stored in his head. That'd make him crazy wouldn't you think? lol

I don't honestly think that line is significant. Kai mentions that Bonnie has stormed off 13 times from their bickering, not that she has saved Damon 13 times from him. I don't know where that's coming from unless I missed something. That also doesn't mean it's at the exact same moment in time. I think over the course of 4 months that's a relatively small number of times for Bonnie to get that annoyed with Damon and I don't think it means that Kai has somehow manipulated the 'world' they are in. I mean maybe he has but they are aware they're repeating this day so it isn't resetting them.

I mean maybe he has but they are aware they're repeating this day so it isn't resetting them. Yeah it's in that last scene with Kai tied up or whatever in his chair. When Bonnie is questioning him about his intentions and killing Damon he says that he knew Bonnie would show up because she always does all 13 times, but that he was a bit more worried this time because of their bickering that Damon wouldn't be enough motivation.
I'm not sure if Kai is constantly trying to kill Damon throughout those four months or it certainly would be more than 13 times with the way he's mentioning Bonnie always coming back.
Though what makes me think that Kai has some form of control over this world is the whole vervain thing. He didn't know which bottle Damon would pick so it put it in all of them. I guess he could do it by hand but that seems a bit excessive to do that for a whole aisle of vervain.
He also seems relatively content in this world and not freaking out. I don't get why he would just observe Bonnie and Damon for so long and know about all their bickering instead of running up to them at first sight all, 'OMG finally someone else is here!'
Something about him just seems too suspicious. What is he doing in this dimension? Is he being contained in here? Why him? I'd be very disappointed if he's just a human or something lame like a witch with a different magic type. I've really hyped myself up for him to be some new supernatural entity lol

Nah he said she always comes back...after they argue and she storms off. I didn't take it to mean he has done this 13 times to try to get her mad enough to get her magic back but I guess I could be wrong. If he did keep redoing it then he would have had to just erase their memory of himself because they remembered everything else, even the pork rinds being there.

Yeah that's why I was thinking that he had to tamper with their minds (or use an item to) since if he did try to kill Damon and they remembered that fact, they would always just either run away or try to corner him or something. But yeah there's a lot of theories so hopefully next episode can lighten that up.
I hope they do actually get to question some important stuff out of him, like how he even came to be there. Though a part of me thinks that everything will be focused on how to get out and all that ensues instead.

Yeah I don't think they'll realize that maybe he's there for a reason, as in, keeping him there because he's dangerous and maybe the witches trapped him there and then they will inadvertently let him loose when they are freeing themselves.
