Hey guys! For those of you who have not read at least part of the second book or have no idea what happens in it and don't want to know, LOOK AWAY! SPOILERS TVLine did an article posting their ideas for who should play 2 very important roles next season who have not yet been cast (Brianna and Roger), and so with the draught of no TVD and no Outlander I thought it might be fun to give it a try as well :-) So here are my ideas for who should play Brianna and Roger. What do you guys think? And do you have your own ideas?? So for Brianna, I think Elena Satine is just perfect! She totally looks like she could be the child of Jamie and Claire, right? Here's another one I'll do Roger in another post, because these pictures are large :-)

Ok, so for Roger, here are my 2 top choices at the moment: First, Eoin Macken And here's another of him for good measure And then there's Santiago Cabrera And one more of him :-) Two great men, in my opinion (Both stared as Knights of King Arthur in Merlin, if anyone's curious). Eoin is obviously more British, but I think they can both pull it off. What about you guys? Any other ideas?

Sorry about that Doppel!!! Didn't see it! I erased the board I made and brought this here:
So I really really wanted to talk about the book. i have been listening to the audio-book on youtube and I am just bursting! So many crazy things going on. I wanted to be prepared for the season finishing which I wonder if they will drag the first book into the second season? I kinda hope they do but then again there are like 8 books right? So that's 8 seasons? 8 years?
But anyway the spanking incident. That was really annoying to hear/read. Jamie seemed like such a brute and I know the clan guys expected him to do it and really Claire was wrong in running. She put them all in danger but still. The only thing that kills me about Claire at this time is she would have left that world without saying goodbye to Jamie and leaving him the same way she left Frank. She felt terrible for leaving Frank that way how could she leave Jamie? Even if she did not love Jamie yet she and Jamie had shared so much to that point. Jamie deserved a goodbye.
Going back to the castle was interesting. I loved the Jamie and Claire sex scenes and just their overall intimacy! When he left though I knew she was in trouble and that young girl who loved Jamie set her up with Giles! I feel awful for Giles. What they did to her and how she was pregnant with Dougals babe. But I loved that she was a time traveler too and that she helped Jamie to save her friend.
When they went back home and reunited with Jamie's sister was wonderful. I loved that time. It was peaceful and funny. I loved reading about Jenny. She is feisty! Their overall way of life was so happy. I hope Jamie can go back there once Randall is dead! He belongs there.
When Jamie got captured my heart hit the floor. Then he escaped and I was like HELL YEAH! But then Dougal told Claire he was captured again. And the secrets that were revealed in that convo made my head spin. Esp Dougals love confession. YUCK!
I loved Claire for choosing Jamie in the end and trying to help him escape. Her first attempt was clever. I was rooting her on! Then Randal found her and Jamie and I was sick. I hate Randall! I hate him. He is the worst possible character ever written. What was going on in Diana's mind when she created him? Despicable. And to be Franks relative is weird and ironic.
Anyway when she leaves and Jamie allows Randall to do whatever I was sick again. Claire met with whats his name the guy who loved Jamie's mom or should I say the other guy... lol ...... I was excited they didn't give up and when they rescued Jamie I about screamed! Now Jamie is sick and they are at the French Church.
Jamie just told her everything! I wanted to cry. Poor guy. And then he tells her he wants her to leave him because Randall used her to make him sick. That's torture. He made sure that if Jamie got loose he couldn't love her. But I hope Jamie wont let him win.
Right now they just read him his last rights and Claire is having her moment with the bible and God. I'm about and hour away from being done. I'll let you know my thoughts once I'm done! I cant wait to start the next book!

So yeah, the first book will be wrapped up by the end of the season. I'm glad you're liking them! I read them sooo long ago, I really don't remember the details very well anymore. But I'll comment on what I do remember :-) So the spanking incident. It's tough, as we already discussed. I totally get why some people can't stomach it. We live in a century that is so far removed from their value systems in that time period that it is really hard to imagine being ok with some of the things they considered common place. It was a male dominated world. Women had very little respect, or options, or control over their lives. Claire was already given a large degree of trust and respect because she was a healer. And Jamie was a very modern man for those days, he almost always treated her as an equal, which was very unusual. And yeah, that situation was bad. She put all those people's lives in jeopardy. People who trusted her. If she was a man, they probably would have just killed her for what she did. And Jamie personally felt betrayed, because essentially she left him. That was a big deal for him. He gave himself to her completely, and then she left him. From his point of view, and from the other men's point of view, it was completely his right to punish her. From a modern woman's perspective, it's a totally different matter. Its very hard. But he did promise never to do it again! Geillis! Yes, very cool reveal about her. I had chills when I first read that scene at the witch trial, when Claire notices the smallpox vaccination scar. So cool! There is more about her later on too. Complicated stuff. I love Jamie's sister Jenny. She is a wonderful character! I can't wait to see more of her in the show. And yeah, I love their home too. Lallybroch! I'm really looking forward to seeing that in the show too. So yeah, Randal is a sick twisted F**K. A lot of people have wondered about Diana's twisted mind in creating him lol. I guess you could call it a study in psychology lol. As for his relationship to Frank ... yeah, that is a very interesting story. There's more to come about that. And don't worry, Jamie is strong. He's been through a lot, but their love is epic! It can overcome anything!! :-)

I started the next novel. I'm trying to figure out who I want to play them. I like the girl you chose Missmystic but the guy I see someone less ethnic looking. A bit more Scottish looking. Maybe not red but maybe bronze? Since he is Gillies and Dougal's baby.

Hey I'm halfway through Voyager!!!! They just got to Laullybroch (how you spell?) it's sooooo good. The only thing that's driving me nuts is the time jump is nuts. Why do a 20 year time jump and now they are in their 40's? I just don't like that but Jamie is the same which I love. I do feel she aged Claire a bit in spirit. I don't like that much. It's interesting to hear about Fergus and little Ian now. And young Jamie is the head of Laulybroch. Sad for jamie. But I'm excited to see where the books go. I do kinda miss the old days with the clan and Dogal. Can't wait for the show to come back. There are so many novels I have so much time to catch up since technically I'm already halfway through season 3 now!!!
