I saw it too and I was nervous about 'that scene' but they did it beautifully and I really love how they made Jamie so emotional in the episode and showed that other side to him. I was just in awe. Well I know the Scots are a dour people and he was doing what he thought he had to do, what was his duty, but it went against everything in him to do it and that was so well done in my opinion. The sex scene was ummmpffff...like omg they really did look like they were enjoying that...ha! I still love this show with everything in me, maybe even more after this episode. I just love it!

Can I also say that that scene with Jamie putting his kilt on was so hot...I know I'm weird but damn I love Scotsmen. It's in my blood I guess....lol

Loved the episode. I'm gonna break it down.....
I really liked how they started it off. We see Jamie finding the news and running to save Claire. I'm glad they showed us how they did it and how dangerous it was! I also enjoyed how they had Jamie narrate the story.
Loved watching Jamie bluff his way into the room. When I read that scene I wanted to see it done correctly and it was. I also enjoyed their first spat. She calls him a F-in Bastard he calls her a b*itch. Then he regrets the whole thing and is so shaken to the core he just falls backward. I loved seeing him like that. In love, worried and vulnerable. He told her she was gutting him and I died. Claire's remorse was beautiful in that moment.
Back at the tavern the guys were not very nice which I knew they wouldn't be given the danger she put them in. The spanking scene was much more serious in the book. The scene was serious but light hearted. I actually enjoyed watching it. I didn't find anything sexual about it until the very last moment when Jamie says "I didn't say I wouldn't enjoy it" and his face was hilarious! The men the next day were jerks! Even Ned!
Back at the castle Laoghaire aka Lee Ree the whore... ugh I hate her! Not just because of this book but well future books too. SKANK! She pissed me off going to him the way she did. What a hussie! And putting that thing under the bed. I hated reading that in the book. gave me the creeps. But seeing it was even worse.
Watching Jamie and Claire struggle this episode was hard. There was remorse, tradition, trust issues and genuine pain/broken hearts. Claire was betrayed and humiliated and Jamie was just conflicted by customs and what he thought a husband should be. I loved the scene with him on his knees swearing an oath to her that he would never hit her again. Then when they began making out and he breathed "I want you so bad I can scarcely breathe" I wanted to just die. He is soooo damn sexy! Sam is the best Jamie ever.
The sex scene was HAWT! He actually went there with her breasts for the first time. These Cable shows are getting a bit Cinamax after dark but i don't mind because I get to see Sam's arse. And what a nice arse he has! They either enjoyed themselves fully or enjoyed themselves fully and are pretending that they don't wanna tear each others clothes off off set.
I also loved the dynamics of Dougal, Jamie and Colum. That whole conversation sets up the premise for the next few books. It sets so many things into motion. I'm excited to see it all play out on my screen!
Also the preview was amazing. I got to see a glimpse of some of my favorite parts from the book. Looks like they will be done very well! I cant wait!
I give it a 10 out of 10.

Oh my gosh, I thought they did a fantastic job!! It was a brilliant idea to put that episode in Jamie's perspective, because it really helps the audience understand where he's coming from. Their fight was epic. And oh man, that sex scene after he makes his vow to her was so incredibly hot! God I am so in love with him lol. I do feel a little sorry for Laoghaire, just because of the kiss mainly. If he had never kissed her then it wouldn't be such an issue. I mean she still sucks (and she gets so much worse too), but right in that moment I felt bad for her. Just because, can you imagine if you had been in love with that man your whole life and then he finally kisses you and you think you have a chance, and then he marries someone else in the blink of an eye?? I would sure as hell be devastated. BUT ... she still sucks lol.
Oh man, I can't wait for the next episode!!! I wish I had the patience to wait until all the episodes were out so I could binge watch instead of having to wait each week. But I can't do that lol.

As I said in my previous post, I feel a little sorry for Leeree (just easier to spell it that way, you're right lol) in the moment, for the reasons I said. But knowing everything that comes later, I just hate that b*tch lol. And yeah, that ill wish doll thing is so creepy!
Their fight was so great, they are fantastic actors. So much passion! And when everything hit Jamie in that moment, the panic of almost losing her ... oh my gosh, he broke my heart! And she had just said she didn't want to be married to him! Poor Jamie!!
But oh man, the spanking ... yeah, it lightened things a little with the chasing and the music they were playing, but it was still intense. And Claire was vicious! As Angus said, I'm not sure who was punishing who lol. And yeah, that little smirk on Jamie's face at the end was pretty funny. And then later when he asks her what a sadist is lol. Priceless.
The episode was amazing I thought. They did everything perfectly. And it is such an important turning point for the two of them. Now that Jamie is finally realizing that Claire is a partner, and not a subservient wife like his culture has taught him. Their relationship really begins now.
I can't wait for next week!!!!!!!!

Yes, I finally saw it and....
This had me dying!!! I showed my husband too. My favorite scene that episode! I re-watched the series again. I just love this show. I'm now on Drums of Autumn. I listen to the books on youtube. I am just dreading the third season. The time jump on the 3rd book just pisses me off. But I still love the books.

[img style="max-width:100%;" alt=" " src=" What episode is it up to now? I just finished watching 8 - am I far behind? I think that is all they have on Amazon right now and I don't have Starz So, I haven't read the books and it took me a few episodes to get into it - I think it was E5 or so, but now I'm totally in! I really enjoyed "The Wedding" episode and the one after it. I love Jamie, but they did a good job of making me feel sorry for Frank at times too. When she was back at Craigh na Dun and he was trying to find her, that was great when she went to put her hands on the rock and the Red Coats grabbed her - for some reason I was like "Oh no!" Even though I want her to stay with Jamie, lol.

I don't like Frank. I think he might have a mean streak like his ancestor did. I think it was episode 11. It was terrific but then they all are really. I haven't read the books either and I really like the element of surprise because of it after TVD and never being surprised...lol I don't have Starz either. I wish these channels would get with the program and start selling their episodes online as they air. They could cut out the middle man but the prices would have to be relatively cheap. I bet they'd still make way more money doing it that way.

The tears running down Jamie's face as he lies there trying to sleep, thinking he's just lost everything. HEARTBREAK! But she made her choice, and it was the best choice ever. I can't wait to get the Lallybroch at meet his sister Jenny!
What did you think of the Geilis reveal?

I loved it and it made a lot of sense. She knew all along... Well she at least suspected all along. That's why she was always asking nosy questions. But I don't think she was sure until Claire said that quote from the American revolution (which obviously hadn't happened yet).
I remember being totally shocked by that reveal in the books. I think they made it a little more obvious in the show. It always gave me chills, when Claire sees her smallpox vaccination scar and figures it out. It's like oh my god it's not just Claire! Holy crap!
