I agree it's played out. However I don't think it'll end. It's pretty much the core of the show so they'll continue it I feel and was worried the risks that would cause. the triangle is to TVD what exploring space was to star trek or what office life was to the office, or what been a bitch was to sex in the city.

I seriously want this couple and I think we need to come in here and talk more about them! Doppel I think we need to put this on the front screen and not in Other Ships.

I'm still having trouble with this ship ... I want to like it, but I'm on the fence. Something about them just doesn't quite feel right to me. I think maybe I'm just not feeling the chemistry. They've just been in the friend zone for so long ... I don't know. And I feel like Caroline's wild side is a little too wild for Stefan lol. He's so vanilla. But maybe she can bring out the animal in him?  |

I'm still having trouble with this ship ... I want to like it, but I'm on the fence. Something about them just doesn't quite feel right to me. I think maybe I'm just not feeling the chemistry. They've just been in the friend zone for so long ... I don't know. And I feel like Caroline's wild side is a little too wild for Stefan lol. He's so vanilla. But maybe she can bring out the animal in him? That's one of the main reasons this pairing is so appealing! Ever since season 2 when Caroline transitioned and they started spending more time together. Caroline's bubbly personality clashing with Stefan's broody one has always made for fun scenes, especially when Caroline made fun of that, 'Why are you staring at him with your serious vampire face?'
This was also a favorite scene of mine with the two lol

Also here's that early season 2 scene I mentioned. Yeah no I definitely hear you. There is potential, it's just not hitting the spot for me yet. I'm hoping now that Caroline is starting to crush on him visibly that it will become more swoon worthy for me. I have to admit that I have always been a fan of the friend who pines away secretly storylines, they are very compelling, and the satisfaction when the object of their affection finally sees the light is usually BIG. Examples: Dawson and Joey, Pacey and Joey, Willow and Xander (although that was short lived and bittersweet because they were cheating on their significant others ...), Ross and Rachel ... I know there are others but I'm blanking lol. But you get the idea, I'm a fan. So I hope that this fallows in their footsteps as it proceeds. |

I'd post some essays too but it'd be a chore to have to wade through the truly good ones that talk solely about Caroline and Stefan's characters themselves and then the bad ones that don't really know how to 'defend' their couple without having to crap all over other characters/ships in the process. Love the ship but the fandom is eh at best.

Ok Stefan died protecting Caroline! This is a real ship! It needs to be on the front page now. Take the klaus and Stefan one down. Klaus isn't even on the show anymore. Lol But for real.... He died protecting Caroline from a traveler who infested Tyler! Huge! And he died the way Enzo did. They are destined! Caroline's sobs. She loves him. I love them. I cried.
