Do I get why Stefan punched Damon? Yes. Mostly. Sort of.
Did he have grounds to? No. He and Elena are no longer together. He's treated Elena horribly. She's her own person, she can do what she wants.
IMO, he had more grounds to punch Damon after the drunken kiss in 2x01.

He doesn't know about any of the other ones, except the Katherine kiss. This time Elena told him, why? Because this time it mattered to her. It was significant enough for her to feel like he should know. It's just getting kind of old to me that we have to hang on some stupid kiss. Did she kiss him, did she not, did it matter this time, did it not? I'm not freaking 12 years old anymore TVD. I'm starting to not give a crap. Call me when they have sex...I'll catch back up again.  |

Yeah, I suppose you're right. It's kind of funny because he has changed so much when you look at it. He didn't care a bit about messing with Stefan back then, but he gets more flack now from SE fans or maybe the same amount, I dunno, but the thing is he has significantly improved in that department but nobody seems to notice.
Honestly I'd be just as happy if he hadn't changed at all. I liked him then. I like him now. But I've always had a thing for the bad boys who won't follow the rules.
I don't want to see a tame Damon and they keep taming him down as if that's the only way he'll be acceptable to the other side and who cares if he's acceptable to the other side? He never will be. The writers ought to know that by now. Why fix what isn't broken?
He wasn't the most popular character on the show for no good reason. People liked him the way he was. I do still like him. I just miss the old him, too. I want him to say fvck it and back out of this whole mess right about now because that's how I'm feeling about it.
Let Stefan guard what he obviously thinks is his and who can't make up her damn mind in any decent amount of time and if she chooses Stefan again, I say screw her, leave her in the dust, Damon! Let's make a Damon/Alaric spinoff show where they leave MF for a while and hunt bigger and badder vampires. haha
Getting caught up on one lame kiss is just so pathetic to me at this point, and people arguing as if that was such a big deal...ridiculous!

Katherine was his girlfriend? What gives you that idea? Did it ever occur to you that maybe Katherine was actually with Damon first? it's been implied by Stefan himself that it might have been that way. |

Damon is a horrible brother, even though Damon has sacrificed so much for his brother and loves his brother.
Stefan is so self sacrificing always saving Damon but Damon saved Stefan too a few times but so not even the level of what Stefan did because saving people has a level of importance!
Damon could care less about his brothers sacrifices and is only pinning after what his brother has although he has been looking for his brother, fighting to bring his brother and heart broken over his brother for several episodes, even got staked so SE could have a moment in Chicago. But everyone LOVES to forget that! Oh and about the girl, she's no longer Stefan's and they cant help what WASN'T planned. Damon gave her up and Stefan left. The two of them got close through this experience. Heart ache and loss brought DE closer. The only tow people who could relate and rely on each other and depend on each other. GOD FORBID!
Elena belongs to Stefan forever, Damon should know that and focus on Stefan. He needs to stop going after what Stefan has. Because in 1864 Kat wanted them both and toyed with them both but she even admitted that in 2011 she loved Stefan and wanted Stefan so Damon should have known that too. FIRST Kat was with them both in 1864. This is not a repeat. Both brothers signed up with Kat knowing about the other!!! Kat didn't even date them. She screwed them physically and mentally! There was no relationship so this is NOT 1864 all over again! Let that argument go! It's irrelevant.
And Elena is not with Stefan anymore. They broke up before school started! This is a supernatural show... It's a triangle show. The romance between all 3 characters have to spark. And to argue about that is one thing but to act like Damon hasn't been a good brother to Stefan is beyond ridiculous!
If you all think that Damon is a bad brother and hasn't done anything for Stefan except for go after the girl Stefan loves, I don't even know how we are both watching TVD.
It's always easier to blame someone. Damon's used to getting blamed for everything so it's easy to blame him and act like he is a crappy ass brother.
But at the end of the day your lying to yourself if you think Damon doesn't love his brother or has done nothing for his brother.
And personally I'd rather not try to change the minds of those who think so little of Damon. If you haven't figured him out now or love and appreciate his character then you never will.

My mind is *BLOWN* at this. Katherine wasn't Stefan's. Katherine was playing and toying with *BOTH* Brothers. And saving the other Brother goes both ways. Remember the Tomb Vampires? Damon went to Alaric, who hated him and who he didn't like much himself, for help in saving his Brother. Ungrateful my ass. This whole situation is putting *EVERYBODY* through a lot. Elena has been losing family left and right, others have been planned to have tea with Death on a few occasions, etc.. But 'Poor Stefan'. Stefan hasn't wanted Help. Those 2 that 'care so much for him' have done nothing but try to offer help to him for months and he's done nothing but take the gesture and blow it back in their face. |

Winchesters don't share the same girl so they have an edge in that regard If Elena wasn't the apple of both Brothers' eyes, then I'm sure their relationship would be leagues better but that's not the case  How many scuffles have the Winchesters had? I think I can count them on 1 hand. These 2 prefer the "I'm OK/Fine" way of dealing with the other Brother and then talking it out after awhile. Stefan & Damon should try it And Dean killed Sam's friend (Amy) this season and kept it from him. I know he didn't do that from a 'Brother Perspective', but rather a Hunter's, but still. Then again, it did eat away at him all that time too. But yes, the Winchesters need to make a road trip to MF to investigate a Vampire/Hybrid killing and spend some time with the Salvatores |
