LOL at the fact that Stefan said in Season 1 Episode 10, “My room holds every memory that I ever thought was important enough to hold on to” and he still had Katherines picture from 150 years ago. But two days after breaking up with Elena, he wants to have her completely wiped from his memory.

This is one of the reasons I can't see them ever going back to SE. 

SE never actually knew one another but they each represented something to the other.  Stefan was Elena's safety; he would never die and leave her.  Elena was Stefan's 'humanity'; he could pretend to be human.

Kinda love this and I did notice how Stefan won't let Elena be on top and he rather violently flips her over and holds her down when she tries...anyone else notice that?  This giffer did:

I totally agree with pixiestyx. Elena and Stefan are good for each other in some ways. They had their moments and they love each other for what they are together, BUT Stefan was never himself with Elena. I would say he lied to her from the beginning. He showed her only the best sides of his person. He never got hisself in danger to be vulnerable. But it happened a lot which was not in his hand. Elena saw a lot facettes of Stefan in the past episodes. And I think she didn't like most of them.

Damon acted like the bad guy from the beginning. He didn't hide his dark side and he showed her his good side (in his eyes weak side) in little pieces too. He was vulnerable from the beginning.

While Stefan turned from really good in a more and more dark sided guy Damon stayed hisself. I think Elena learned to love his whole person. While she recognized that she doesn't love the whole Stefan. Anyhow I think Damon will screw it up somehow.

I never bought Stelena.  Everything bad between them, the lies and deceptions were ignored like they never happened in favor of just having someone to lean on and that is not love, that is Codependency.

Why I NEVER shipped Stelena and NEVER will

It was always kind of hard for me to believe that Stefan and Elena’s love is so epic and all that, no matter how many “Forever and always” they say they’ll be together … and that had nothing to do with me shipping Delena actually because the most important reasons on my “Anti-Stelena” list has nothing to do with Damon

- First reason why I never believed or shipped Stelena is the way they fell in love … how emotionally vulnerable Elena was and how sneaky and manipulative Stefan was … all the secrets and lies that he kept from her even after Matt told him how she’s all about the trust

add to that the fact that she was only 17 and within few weeks just decided she found her epic love!!! Seriously how many 17 years old girls can make the decision that they found their “Soulmate” and their forever love?!!

- Second reason was her reaction when Damon fed her his blood in season two, she was desperate because she doesn’t want to be a vampire and I totally understand that it’s so real and human to not want to be a vampire and I would have hated her if she actually WANTED that (It’s a different thing to be a vampire and then accept yourself and deal with it than to be human and actually WANT to become a vampire, why I loath Twilight)

but the point in this scene is that when Elena was at the threat of becoming a vampire if Klaus killed her she showed such devastation she told Stefan that she wanted to live a normal life, grow up and have children which is obviously a future plan that does NOT include being with a vampire forever … at this point there was no mention of the cure, so basically Elena just said that she didn’t want to be with Stefan as forever as the Stelena fans like to make it sound, not by being an immortal vampire nor for the rest of her human life

(Note that she was kind of ready to die if it meant saving her friends, she limited her choices to either live a normal human life or die, both of which no possible future with a vampire could be”

- Human not-sired Elena did have those really strong feelings for Damon, feelings that made her question the epicness of her love for Stefan, despite the fact that Elena saw the worst in Damon before she saw the good in him, and despite Stefan having the support of her best friends and the advantage of their romantic history her feelings for Damon were strong enough that she spent a long while confused between the Salvatore brothers … and I don’t believe that if she was so certain about her love for Stefan and that it will last forever she would have had this amount of feelings for Damon no matter how many times he tried or made moves on her

- As for Stefan, well I’ve always thought being with Elena was all about HIM and how he feels about himself, she made him forget who or WHAT he really was, he felt human around her because she agreed to play pretend with him, and that’s what he loved the most about her, she was his way of not hating himself. (which he is replacing now by deciding to take the cure)

and the fact that he was welling to make Rebekah erase all his memories of Elena even when everyone is doubting that her feelings for Damon are going to change when she’s cured, but just saying that she was no longer in love with him and is in love with Damon made him fall out of love with her in a matter of few days, and his way of dealing with the hurt was “If she’s not my girlfriend than I don’t even want to remember I ever met her”!! like how epic is THAT?!!!!

- Also, there is the fact that both Stefan and Elena can give a list of reasons as to why they loved each other… because when you love someone you don’t love them because “They won’t die like your parents and so won’t stop loving you, or because they came into your life in a time when you NEEDED someone” and certainly not because “They make you feel different and forget who you really are”

Stating that the person you love makes you feel something is one thing, saying that this is WHY you love them is a different thing, because basically reasons for love = Conditional love

if one of those reasons why you love the person changed than you just won’t love them as much anymore (Hint: Stefan not wanting Elena to be a vampire)

Here are my main reasons at this point for not just loving Delena but being full on Anti-Stelena: The main thing I hate about Stefan is that he seems to hold Damon to a higher standard then he holds for himself AND he always carries an air of undeserved superiority while constantly putting Damon down. This always translates to the SE vs. DE argument because those who defend SE often have the same attitude as Stefan...they hold Damon to a higher standard then Stefan and almost always have an air of undeserved superiority about their ship. All of you know how ridiculous this is so I don't need to cite all the examples that refute this Stelena POV. I just cannot root for a couple in which the man is an arrogant hypocrite who likes to bully his brother so that he can feel better about his own existence (he does admit to being miserable since being a vampire). This isn't the type of person Elena is/was or who she wants to be as a vampire (which seems inevitable that she will become one again even if she became human again). Therefore, I don't see how they can be right for eachother or how anyone can think they're right for eachother...especially at this stage. On top of that, Stefan wants to be with Elena but he wants Elena and him to be human together or have Elena has a human while they play pretend until the day she moves on to have her kids, etc. This isn't forever like he has claimed he wants...and even if he chose to be with her forever he is miserable as a vampire and would bring her down whether she is a human or vampire....Elena knows this ...which is why they aren't together now and won't be together. This is also why he can't accept his love for Katherine.The only hope they (SE) had for being together again (and I'm not convinced this would be enough) would be if they both turned human but Damon did not...but now we know they can't both be human. Stelena is the doomed love...some people like that story but I for one do not choose that story over a romance as beautiful as Delena's. I'm not even convinced Stelena would happen in the same way again if Damon died...Elena knows he isn't right for her romantically and usually you don't fall out of love with someone then fall back in love. SE is such a joke at this point.

Remember that one time I came to you and you told me that I was pretty much stupid for showing up.
Remember that one time I asked you to help me with Jeremy and you said he wasn't your problem and Alaric got hit by a car and died?
Remember that one time you drove me to Whickery Bridge, fed me your blood and threatened Klaus that you would drive me off and kill me?
Remember how you left me there too, crying with no ride home?
Remember that one time you told me to go on a trip with Damon to see Jeremy to discover if I had feelings for Damon? Well I discovered that his mouth felt good on mine and so did his hands. Jeremy totally cock blocked. 
Remember that one time I chose you instead of Damon but then I died and you saved Matt then I turned into a Vampire and was sired to Damon because my human feelings for him were so strong. Whoopsies.
Remember that one time I went to the college with Damon...well we ate a few people and dry humped on the dance floor with blood all over our faces. It was AWESOME....until Bonnie gave me the evil eye. 
Remember that one time I was all hallucinating because someone spiked the beer at Bekah's party...I totally saw Damon on top of me instead of you and then he later came to me while you were sitting on the bed.
Remember that one time when you kept the whole "cure" from me and was going to risk Jeremy's life to keep Conner safe and then I killed him because I didn't know and I got cursed. 
Remember that one time that I was about to kill myself on Whickery bridge and you sent Damon to me...even though you were my boyfriend. 
Remember when we broke up. Yep. That was pretty awesome. 
Remember when you went behind my back and killed some guy turned him and then made Jeremy kill him...then Jeremy stabbed me in the neck and started hating me? 
Remember after Jeremy started hating me and I had to move out so I moved into the Boarding house and slept with Damon. EPIC! 
Remember the next morning when you showed up and I said "See you in History"...I just slept with your brother.... =) 
Remember when you found out and you broke that chess game. NOT COOL!
Remember when I had to tell you the truth about how I felt because Rebekah compelled me? Felt so good. Especially when later that night I called Damon and told him I loved him for the first time! 
Remember when I said you made me feel like a broken toy... I wasn't lying. And when I said I wasn't in love with you....I wasn't lying.
Remember that time you locked up Damon and told me I couldn't see him because I would let him go because of the SB...You were so concerned. But then you left him alone five minutes later, slept with Rebekah and didn't come home until the next morning? FAIL!
Remember when I said I didn't care about the sire bond because my feelings for Damon were real... Yep they were real. Always havebeen always will be.
