weslocked: if you wanna know what regret feels like ask someone who once considered TVD as their favourite show. This statement on tumblr has a whopping 7,418 notes at the moment. That's freaking HUGE considering most of the time statements along this line have always been under the 1000 range (ship/character complaints etc.) but this is bout the show in general so wow was all I had to say when I saw the notes of this. Yeah unfortunately all this show has done is make mistake after mistake... What I find interesting looking around is how some fans blame Delena for the lower ratings but maybe they weren't paying attention back when 3x22 happened and a whole lot of Delena fans left the show in disgust at her choosing Stefan yet again. It really never made a comeback after that and all the tricks to keep Delena apart thereafter only furthered the exodus. In my estimation that is the reason things started going downhill ratings wise and I'm pretty sure they know that which is why they desperately tried to repair the damage they did but only managed to make it worse. |

You know a complaint I always see by fans is through most threads on here lol is Tyler sucks or the writers just make him leave alot. just a slight thought but there is Anti- damon , bonnie , delena , writers , lexi , alaric , bamon and more threads yet theres no Anti-tyler ...... I guess somethings are too agreed upon lol it'd be like a thread "the sky is blue" somethings just dont need to be said

haha! True I guess...poor Tyty... lol yeah it felt fitting putting it here as like i've said he was great season 2 ironically in making him a wolf they humanized him now however ... the writers have nothing to do with him. Writers: *dedicates ten seconds to Delena's first dinner date where the two are genuinely happy and flirty with each other*
Writers: *dedicates several scenes to showcase how Delena will be fed up and frustrated with each other and paints the characters in the baddest lights*
Awesome writers! And how about that random moment where Stefan makes a comment about Elena suddenly switching brothers cause she's human? Right after the writers put that to rest last episode? Welp guess Stefan had to get in his two cents and instead of it being a genuine moment, it was instead used for stupid fanbaiting. It was not funny and just dumb.

If anything Stefan's the one who can't cook. Remember the SE human visions in season 5, Elena walking into a house with Stefan over stove with smoking pots and Elena joking about him trying out the 'chef' thing and how it was like his 20th or something attempt?
It feels like Stefan is projecting again lol. Again, really why can't the writers keep their most basic facts straight?

These writers continually try to insult their audience's intelligence. Trying to convince us that Damon can't cook or that Elena has 'always' wanted that cookie cutter human life, job, family, husband, kids when we know that she turned down freaking Matt for that very concept lol.
What's worst is that some fans will fall for these retcons and will begin to believe them as true since they accept anything that fits into their own fantasy headcanons and reject anything that doesn't. |

I know, right? Don't try and tell me Damon has no assets, after 150 years. He's not stupid. There's no way he wouldn't have put money away, or at least acquired items of value that he can sell. It's beyond stupid to expect us to believe he doesn't have anything to support them. And yeah, we know he can cook just fine. And Elena was taking care of herself and Jeremy just fine there for a while after Jenna died, don't tell me she never cooked dinner for them. Not to mention, it's not that hard to figure out!! So dumb.

Yeah they even talked about the Salvatore companies at one point, I think when they were talking about the Original stake wood and the Salvatores had owned the lumber company that built the bridge out of the same wood. I mean it's stupid to say Damon would have no money if he turned human. Like what, would Stefan take it all? Damon was the one who kept the companies running and producing enough money for them to live. He's the one who knew where to look in all those company ledgers for the information...duh! The way they write Stefan I just want to slap him all the freaking time! He seems like a 17 year old freeloader off of Damon's efforts who acts like he did everything good all the time when actually Damon did it! They sure write him like he is this idiot with delusions of grandeur.
I only wish they'd write Damon more sarcastically like this:
Stefan: "How are you gonna survive Damon?"
Damon: "Gee Stefan I don't know, maybe the same way I have been for 170 plus years." (emphatic Damon eyeroll)
Damon gives Stefan way too much credit for having a brain.

What wasn’t insulting about the tvd finale? It was FULL of insults to its foundation when the show was good still. I haven’t even watched it and I find it insulting.
Yeah Elena not even present outside her coma along with the fact that the whole episode wasn’t really about Elena but giving everyone a thumbs up to go live their lives while she stays stuck in a coffin, shows how little respect they had for her character where even her goodbye they couldn’t make it original and heartfelt. Putting her in a coffin was another very insulting thing I found. She’s not dead. WTF. And omg Kai dies but his spell on Elena remains bc plot convenience and Nina wants to leave. THEN WRITE A MORE FOOL PROOF STORY TO WRITE HER OUT. THAT’S RIGHT YOU CAN’T AND NOT MAKE IT OOC. Every version would be a cop out.
The fact that they made Damon into Stefan but worse and threw more ooc BD stuff for an Elena-less show to show “character development” when they didn’t even show him freaking out beyond 2 minutes. SURE. The fact that Jeremy lost his last family and he’s like chill bye when he was “why does everyone die on me?” and how they undermined the meaning of death COMPLETELY on this show. They gave her a funeral when SHE’S STILL ALIVE YOU ASSHOLES WHO ARE STICKING HER IN A COFFIN AND WANT TO GO ON LIVIBG YOUR LIVES. Recycled scenes obviously hurt my brain because they reduce the original ones to some stupid interpretation of theirs. The BD forehead kiss because we know it was to make people jump ship. The D/E dance turned them into EVERYTHING they’re NOT.
The fact that Kai didn’t have any Luke in him and suddenly was all psychopath because plot convenience and him putting Elena under a sleeping spell did nothing for the characters. The complete ooc line “you have to swim in (grief) and drown in it” when in 6x01 Elena said “Moving on is a lie” and thats why she erased everything. So they completely undid her journey and character. The fact that Bonnie saving herself is celebrated but Elena “is only sleeping for 60 years”. Tyler killing Liv bc of reasons and trying to be epic and skipping town. The fact that Elena said being a werewolf makes Tyler extraordinary but Elena was turned human to be made completely useless and stuck in a coffin. The fact that Elena told Damon to move on with his life and he didn’t say anything. The fact that Damon wasn’t all that concerned about either Alaric or Elena bc s7. The fact that this show uses the word best friend and soulmate the same way at this point. They have no meaning. “You knew me better than anyone” LOL why do they.
The whole episode. It ruined everything.
