Anyone who thinks Damon and Bonnie have chemistry obviously has no idea what chemistry is. There is about as much sizzle in their scenes together as there is in a glass of milk. I am not being biased here. I am a Delena fan, true, and I want nothing more than to see a satisfying conclusion to this show that includes a Delena happy ending. But with how much and how often they have screwed up the Delena storyline over the last couple of years, to be quite honest if they presented me with an agreeable alternative I might be persuaded to give up my Delena dreams. Damon is the end all be all of TVD, no one holds a candle to him. Elena was the heroine, and once upon a time she was a good heroine. She may be again, I'm holding onto faith for now, but if there was someone else in Damon's life that fit him better, that he had better chemistry with, that would make a great romantic story arc, I would get on board with it! I seriously would. But there really truly is NO chemistry between Bonnie and Damon (or Kat and Ian), none at all. They absolutely do feel like siblings. Under different circumstances the hate-to-love storylines are often favorites of mine. I call them the "Benedict and Beatrice romances" (Much Ado About Nothing). But they have to have chemistry to work! Examples: Joey and Pacy, Sher and Josh (Clueless), Buffy and Spike, Joseph and Shannon (Far and Away), Logan and Veronica, and there are millions more but you get the idea. If Damon and Bonnie had the chemistry of any of these couples, I could be persuaded to enjoy a romance between them. But they don't. Not an ounce. It's worse than when Cordelia and Wesley tried to kiss (Buffy fans, you remember that?? So awkward lol). It's funny, because I keep seeing posts from Bamon fans talking about how chemistry isn't something you can write into a script, or something you can plan for, that it either happens or it doesn't. And they're using this statement like it's an argument for their case. But in fact it's the exact reason why their ship will never sail. Because they are right, you can't MAKE chemistry happen. And Damon and Bonnie don't have it, plain and simple. HA! quoting myself here, I know, but I realized I forgot one of the most famous of these love/hate relationships: Han and Leia! lol I'm a dope.

At this point those fans talking about how great the Bamon chemistry is or even how Bonnie is a better match for Damon and that she wouldn't let him get away with his 'crap' lol and yada yada are likely just anti Delena/Elena fans or people who keep clamoring about the triangle being boring (because Delena happened and now it's boring lol).

Ah...yeah...good one. Even Damon and Elena started out that way and they sizzled. We don't see any of that with Bonnie and Damon, at least I don't. She makes this face like he revolts her and I see no hint of any underlying attraction...none, and maybe it's just her acting because it's just not there. Like I said they seem more like siblings to me.

I thought their scenes together this week were terrible. I think maybe Kat is not a great actress because even Damon seemed over-the-top in a not-so-good way. I like where the plot is going, but can't imagine where people see chemistry because I don't even see the brother-sister chemistry. I think that what writers are trying to do -- and I can see how being with one person for that long could grate on their nerves -- but I don't even see that. It all seems forced. Time to get them back to Mystic Falls.

I hope all these new Bamon fans realize what they are hoping for when they hope for Bamon. Kat Graham is NOT hired to be in the show all the time. She has her music career and CAN'T be in the show 100% of the time. So what would happen if Bamon happened? What would happen to Damon if Bonnie goes back to hardly being around and the triangle is over and Damon is happy with Bonnie? I believe that if there is any plan for Bamon, it's because Ian is leaving the show. There would be no reason to watch Damon anymore. The center of the show would shift to, I don't know, Stelena maybe? No wonder a good percentage of these so called Bamon fans are actually Stelenas who call Damon horrible names when they aren't pretending to ship him with Bonnie. So if any of these Bamon fans actually do like Damon they should be very careful what they wish for.

I don't really feel the majority of Bamon fans are Damon fans. Sure they're nice about Damon when it involves Bonnie but bring up Delena and Damon's character is practically dragged through the mud and things from season 1 or his relationship with Caroline are brought back full force.
Most arguments for Bamon involve Bonnie putting Damon in his place and saying how Bonnie wouldn't let him get away with the 'crap' Elena does. They don't see DAMON'S character as selfless, all they see is him doing something for 'whiny Elena' and he's some obsessive doormat.
I've actually had a Bamon message me on tumblr and practically scream in my inbox of how JP has these grown men acting like babies around Elena.
I think I remember someone mentioning Delena's wanting to trend something Damon related and asking Bamons help and most refused.
A lot of Bamons are just Stelena who ship them to get Damon out of the way, they're likely coming more out the woodwork now given that Bamon have more screentime together.
Really I think the only time I've seen a Bamon talk genuinely good about Damon is if it's someone who ships Delena but enjoying the Bamon friendship.

Really I think the only time I've seen a Bamon talk genuinely good about Damon is if it's someone who ships Delena but enjoying the Bamon friendship. Yeah unfortunately that's been my experience as well. I've seen Bamons say the same crap about Damon as Stelenas do and I have to wonder why would they ship him with Bonnie then? Do they hate Bonnie too? I don't get it. I guess there must be some genuine book fans but then Bonnie's character is radically different than book Bonnie and what drew Damon to 'protect' book Bonnie. Show Bonnie has a much stronger character. Book Bonnie was a fragile naïve little girl which is why Damon's instinct to protect her came in. That and because Bonnie actually didn't hate Damon in the books. She ended up with a crush on him. I mean it's so different. It's not like they've followed along with Meredith's character or even Caroline's character who hated Elena so why should they follow along with Bonnie's character just because she was crushing on Damon in the books and have some Bamon thing happen?

Sorry Ian but on this I disagree and if you think you can see your own chemistry with someone, well...no you can't! And I see no chemistry at all between these two. It seems to me that Kat Graham is sort of in awe of Ian and acts stiff when she acts with him. I don't know how else to explain it. I mean that old saying about two wooden sticks rubbing together is what I think of when I see these two working together. It just doesn't work. It is NOT chemistry...it is anti-chemistry. LOL The only good thing is that it sounds like tptb are not interested in ever going there with Bamon cause they probably don't see it either. I have to think people are just wanting it because of the books so they think they see it but scenes they call chemistry in are when Bonnie looks the most like she can't stand Damon to me...I don't get it...that's really not chemistry. There is no underlying sense of passionate desire that I see at all. It's more like how my daughter hates her brother...haha She may really care about him on a deeper level but she darn well hates him most of the time. That describes Bamon to a T for me. The more I've seen of them, the more I'm convinced of it. Compare their snipping to what we saw with Delena in the beginning and it is so different. There was such sexual tension with Delena you could feel it jumping off the screen! They didn't get chemistry awards for nothing!:

Hmmm....was trying to find some Bamon scenes worth mentioning but had no luck and got bored fast. What I did find was a lot of Bamon videos that have been around for years and have less than 100K views...oh yeah Bamon is oh so popular and wonderful! NOT!

And this is a good point...he probably sees nobody really cares so he tries to make it sound better than it is which is Damon on the back burner for a while...he needed someone to interact with so he wouldn't be off screen and that someone was Bonnie. But they'd better as heck hurry and get him back cause it's boring so far! Salvatore #1 @mysticgrbathrm · 2m2 minutes ago to promote interest in it. The network wants Damon fans to enjoy the SL (until Damon returns to Elena ?) so Ian has to sell it.

Yikes I can certainly see Bamons taking this and running with it! They already have claims that Ian hates Delena and is the King of Bamon and this will further add to their fuel of fire lol.
The second bullet point feels like Ian and Paul shenanigans though, like when they joked about the Bamon witch babies haha.
Though what does Ian mean by 'They just won't let us be.' like be what? A couple? Did he make a suggestion? I know that as far as Bamon scenes go, if nothing romantic is not in the works, then they'll have to be directed to act 'normal'. I've seen no underlying looks that were meant to be taken as romantic and sometimes you don't even really try to like with Delena in earlier seasons and Elena always looking at Damon's lips lol.
But with Bamon it's like you mentioned, feels more like a brother/sister vibe where the siblings fight and get annoyed with one another but underneath everything they really care about each other. Nothing's been made to make me think otherwise as far as romantic Bamon goes.

Yeah I kind of hate how it's taken overall as a 'Bamon' storyline. Like I can see people saying it for short as in the two are together/alone in this world trying to get home so it's easier to say 'Bamon' than Bonnie/Damon or whatever. But some people are making it seem like the storyline is more about building up to a romantic Bamon and not about trying to get back home to loved ones.

I'm not liking the fans take on it all. There seems to be some war between Somereeds and Nians because the Nians were being nasty to Ian and Nikki and DEs are now being lumped in with the Nians so the Somereeds are backing Bamon which is all kinds of messed up because not all DEs are Nians...like me for instance! Wow that wss wordy and complicated but so is this fandom!
But I think it is giving Bamon more attention than it deserved simply as an anti-Delena tactic. Now they have the Somereeds doing it as well as the Stelena's but does anyone actually LIKE this ship or is it just to annoy the Nians/DEs and/or get Stelena back?
