So wow, not that I shouldn't have expected it but the bamon fans are back with their crackpot fantasies. They actually do ruin perfectly lovely scenes with their obnoxious Elena hate and reaching theories. They really are declaring the bamon scene as a love scene, that he is in denial about how deep his feelings are for Bonnie.
Did they not see the last episode when It was Damon's love for Elena that was the catalyst for him defeating the Siren curse and his memory wipe. I don't remember Bonnie featuring in any of his FB memories since Sybil rewired them in 8x03/4 and certainly not in any that was shown to be important to him now when he needs to come back to himself. Damn, those visits to Damon's subconscious even proved that he doesn't even really need forgiveness from Bonnie as his supposed BFF.
They will ever understand that his choice to dessicate hurt Bonnie because he chose a life without her whilst waiting for Elena. He never left Elena, he chose her and left Bonnie to live out her life without him in it.

Yeah it seems as expected there would be BDs taking this scene and twisting it into something else, they'll take Damon's words to mean that he's in love with Bonnie, despite Damon complimenting/praising Caroline in a similar way at her mom's funeral. In fact Damon tends to compliment Caroline more over the course of the show than he does Bonnie. When it came to Steroline Damon would always say some form of praise about Caroline towards Stefan whereas he didn't do any of the sort towards Bonnie with Enzo. But no one makes a big deal of that and claims that Damon is in love with Caroline or anything. In addition to their immense hate of Elena, they of course hate Enzo/Bonenzo in the same vein and it was amusing seeing BDs claim things like how Bonnie couldn't keep her eyes off of Damon in that scene or that she never looked at Enzo like that haha. Like you said back in the other thread, I don't know how anyone could even still ship SE/BD. Bamons seem like they close their eyes and ears when the show reinstates Damon's love for Elena, but once Damon and Bonnie get a scene, suddenly they all come out of the woodwork and claim that Damon loves Bonnie and he's just in denial. Really I've never seen a more ignorant shipping fandom. When BOTH the people you ship are deeply in love with someone else, and especially when said ship has NEVER been involved romantically or even expressed an inkling of interest for the other. How are you still claiming otherwise? It's beyond delusional at this point.

Bamons are just beyond annoying at this point, as are bitter Stelenas with their same tired arguments. But then, I guess most Bamons and Stelenas are one and the same.

When the necklace came into play with helping Damon to fight back Sybil, if you watch those scenes on youtube, you'll get some bitter SEs saying how the necklace is a 'Stelena' thing and that DE needs to stop stealing things from SE. It's like, hey remember Caroline? You know the girl Stefan proposed to? SE's act like DE is still who they need to pick fights with, they're not even on the radar anymore lol. Why are they still trying to talk SE when STEFAN has moved on? It makes no sense. It's like going fishing without your rod lol. BDs do the same as well. They act like the people in their ships aren't both in relationships with other people when they are.

It's so true. How can these people see that putting SE together again would destroy all the storytelling around around Steroline and all the storytelling around BE plus annihilating DE and everything that encompasses for 8 whole seasons and for what? one episode of a "told ya so?" Even if it happened how could that possibly be satisfying for anyone. Bamon would be a similar prospect. With 6 episodes to go and Damon not remotely anywhere near ready to let Elena go how could a Bamon endgame in the final death throes of the series be satisfying??
These people are not true fans anymore, they are just hoping and praying for the kudos of the endgame bragging rights whether it makes for a satisfying end or not.

These people are not true fans anymore, they are just hoping and praying for the kudos of the endgame bragging rights whether it makes for a satisfying end or not. This is so true, and I'm sure we've all come across this mentality in other fandoms as well. I really do not get fans who don't care for development of the relationship and characters in their ship. The DE fanbase has been the most mature in this show. During season 1 and 2, we were never so rabid and crazy and wanted DE to be together right away, we were aware it was a slow burn and that neither Elena or Damon were in a position to love each other right away. "It's right, just not now." We all wanted to make sure that SE was well over and done for good, before DE started anything. When a character gets together with someone else while there's still lingering/longing feelings for someone else/another relationship, it doesn't last very long and we have examples in this very show with short lived relationships because of the fact. If I was shipping Bamon, it would not be satisfying to see Damon's love for Elena so prevalent every episode and in my face, getting all the romantic and pivitol scenes and then at the last minute Bamon became canon. I'd be furious as a Bamon fan, all those previous moments could have been Bamon. Like if said if they were really true fans of any of the characters in their relationship, they would have moved on and started shipping the couples that made the people in their ships happy. Bamons for years have been wanting Bonnie to have a guy that would be protective over her and shower her with romantics like Caroline/Elena have gotten, and Bonnie has that now with Enzo. Yet instead of being happy that Bonnie is happy, who even stated to her Grams in the illusion that this is the happiest she's been in a while, all Bamons can focus on is one scene at the end trying to cling onto a relationship that's already well 6 feet under and has no chance of happening. Why are they so focused on wanting Damon to be that guy for Bonnie when he's deeply in love with Elena. And here you have Enzo who is deeply in love with Bonnie, is her loving and doting boyfriend, taking her on vacations and being fiercely protective of her. Something they kept saying they wanted for years and that JP was racist over the fact. Yet each time it was never the guy they wanted. Again why Damon? Cause Ian's hot? They like to throw this insult at us, but they're the ones who are so stuck on Damon being with Bonnie with no actual support from the show that this reason applies to them more easily. At this point it really is just wanting bragging rights and being the winner over us 'Dullena fans'.

They want Damon because it's obvious he is the center of the show and has been all along so he's the big fish to land for 'their' girl. Nobody else will do but the 'star' of the show so she can be the star, too. I think that's it even more than shoving it in our faces that Bonnie beat out Elena for Damon's affections but that's also a reason as well. It's all a fantasy though. It's never gonna happen. not unless JP just throws up her hands and gives us all a big 'f*** you' to end the show with. Even if it did end that way, it would be a huge laughable joke no matter what. I'd wish I could be compelled to forget I ever liked this show to begin with if the ending sucks as bad as that and I'd probably pretend it never existed and never mention it again.

In what universe??? I mean it's freaking hilarious sometimes the ways they will try to twist what's on screen to suit their agenda.

They must just watch the scene, and not the rest of the episode, and then twist the interpretation to fit their delusional head canon. Oh well. Even after Delena are married and living in their brownstone in Tribeca with their two kids, and Bonenzo are living happily ever after wherever they end up, Boman's will still insist that Damon and Bonnie are secretly pining away for each other. It's so stupid. Bomans have to be by far the most annoying part of the fandom. I think they are just trolling for the most part. No way they actually believe Boman has anything other than friendship.

This just continues to show how Bamons (along with desperate SEs) continue to not understand a single thing about Damon's character. For as confident and vocal he has always been about his love for Elena why would his love for Bonnie be something you have to analyze with a microscope to even see a hint of? lol. Wouldn't he just come out and say how he feels, like he always does when it comes to Elena? Yet Bamons put on this sort of air that Damon's love for Bonnie is this subtle thing that you have to be smart to see, but maybe it's just not there lol. LOLOLOLOL hilarious! I never understood what the heck they were always talking about. RI-DI-CU-LOUS.
