This could be very true!

Yup, it's been obvious that MANY Bamon fans were Stelenas in disguise. I have always doubted that this rising fandom was NEW since all the arguments against DE were very, very old SE fans chants, furthermore it's rare for a show this old to suddenly amass a brand new fandom, especially one as vocal as them.

Wow they actually beat the Stelenas...LOL lol it almost feels like Bamon and Stelena should be one entity in this poll since a lot of SEs were rooting for Bamon this season just to destroy Delena. Bamon was a bit more relevant this season than SE so they didn't come off as crazy compared to the season 4 and 5 days. Though regardless this poll is accurate out of the two since for as bad and cheesy of a pairing SE was, at least in canon their pair was romantically involed whereas Bamon has made up all the romantic attraction and feelings for their couple lol.

Wow they actually beat the Stelenas...LOL Of course they did because Bamons are just Stelenas in disguise, and they'd rather vote Bamon down than to have their true ship lose, lol.

Yeah normally they'd request help from SE to win polls, but of course if they're going against SE they're certainly not going to have Bamon win over them, unless it's in this case lol. So SE turned against them in this poll in addition to DE already going to be against them. So there was no way Bamon would have stood any chance in this poll. But as stated they certainly do live up to this poll as I've never seen a fandom more in denial and twisting of canon than the Bamon one.

The fact that there is no Bamon seems to have slipped their minds as they go on like they are a couple when they have never been one and probably will never be one according to BOTH producers of the show. Instead of talking about hopes and dreams, they talk as if they are robbed of something they never had to begin with. How they got themselves into that frame of mind is a mystery to me but I guess group think and their own imaginations but it really does make them look like complete idiots when they can't see the reality that is right in front of them that Damon is even more in love with Elena now than he ever has been. For instance these quotes are from season 7 and even being without her, his love song to Elena just keeps growing stronger:

The truth is, if Bonnie was any kind of friend to either of them she would have never rested until she found a way to bring Elena back. It is because of her and her revenge against Kai that all of this happened to the two people she claims to love more than anyone. I sure wouldn't know it! She spends all her time shaming and blaming Damon for grieving over his loss of the love of his life instead. She puts herself first and can't even begin to understand why he decided to desiccate and not stay with her instead so she wouldn't be bored all alone. Selfish much? And yet you call him selfish! Hypocrite! Like always... Whatever, Bonnie. Get over yourself already because I'm WAY over you. I've never wanted a character on a show to die as much as I want her to die. The writers set up that dynamic but there it is. When Bonnie dies I will be cheering and it has nothing to do with her being a 'threat' with the BD non-existent ship. It's because she sucks and right now she stands in the way of my ship just by breathing air. If I could feel any kind of sympathy for her maybe I wouldn't want her dead but the way she's been written, I feel nothing but contempt.

Reasons BD fans won the 'stupidest fandom' award.... And to add to it here's this comment chain that can be found on the Damon and Elena Silhouette [7x22] video. melodic symphos in the beginnig i was a big stefan fan. But it changed, and even im a guy i asked myself who would i be with if i would be elena. I would choose damon, over stefan. Damon has so much love inside him,but peopel usally dont give him a chance. Only Elena and Bonnie did,so these women trully deserve him. <3Vampire Fan +melodic symphos Yes Bonnie does deserve him. Vampire Fan Bonnie is the love of Damon's life.melodic symphos now damon needs to realize itVampire Fan +melodic symphos I honestly think the writers don't want that to happen. melodic symphos yeah because they want delena .we all know that. Vampire Fan +melodic symphos Damon is just obsessed with Elena, I wish they would kill her. melodic symphos they wont trust me. damon and Elena are planned since the Show started What's funny is how are you on this video, if you actually watched it, and then claim how Bonnie is the love of Damon's life or how Bonnie even deserves Damon and trying to put her on the same level as Elena. Do they hear Bonnie's name mentioned anywhere in that video? She's essentially a non factor in the grand scheme of things and which is why he was planning on desiccating for 60 years even if that meant never seeing Bonnie again. Then of course in the end it just comes down to another bitter fan who hates Elena as ultimately the reason she's a Bamon fan in the first place lol

JP has no one to blame but herself for the rabid BD fandom. She should have never baited the In the first place, and she should have told Ian and KG to cool it a long time ago. Boman was forced from the beginning, and thinking people saw it as the pathetic actor service that it was.

Boman was forced from the beginning, and thinking people saw it as the pathetic actor service that it was. I agree in a sense, when CD wanted to cut down the 3 second speech feeling that it was a bit too much, JP gave the green light to leave the speech as it is. So many scenes came off as baiting in a way just because of the way JP wrote things and never bothered to fill in the blanks until like five episodes later or something. Scenes like Damon looking at Enzo/Bonnie on the couch and then right after calling Stefan to help distract himself from what he witnessed, would obviously be taken in two different ways depending on the fandom. If JP took the time to put some flashbacks of Delena in that moment, then there'd be no 'ambiguous' overtones to debate. Then there was the Damon shirtless scene that felt like an obvious bait since it just made no sense in general unless we were supposed to think of it as Damon thinking of Bonnie as 'one of the guys' and that Bonnie's non reaction to show that she wasn't attracted to Damon. Though despite that, if we go back over the season (this time without the paranoia of Bamon looming over our heads and blinding us to the fact that it was never going to happen), JP in no way tricked Bamons or led them to believe that Bamon was going to happen and pulled the rug out from under them. Every speech that Bonnie and Damon had, JP littered the words friends/best friends all over to the point it got comical. Bonnie never admitted to being attracted to Damon or having feelings for him and vice versa with Damon who was never conflicted about his love for Elena, it stayed a strong focus from beginning to end, he was never 'struggling' with any new romantic feelings for Bonnie. And just to draw that point home, JP even had Damon say the line 'like Elena loved you' just to make it more obvious, though of course the more rabid fans will twist it. There are Bamons out there saying that JP lead them on that Bamon would be a thing, even though there were quotes from CD/the cast where they came outright and said that Bamon wouldn't happen, but instead Bamons took that in a way that meant JP was trying to keep it as a surprise for when Bamon did happen. I don't know how anyone could think that two characters who are both involved in a relationship with other people and have never admitted to any romantic feelings for the other all season would suddenly kiss and be together in the finale. Bamons deluded themselves the entire ride and wanted to pretend like Elena didn't exist or that Bonnie wasn't in a relationship with Enzo. They really have no one to blame but themselves. I also think a lot of the extra Bamon scenes in general was one, attributed to Ian and Kat wanting more scenes together and JP herself likes the friendship of the two in general and of course both Nina and later on Candace due to her pregnancy, being absent for that later half of the season and that next season Caroline will go back to JP's favorite leading lady along with Steroline as the main romantic ship. I feel Kat Graham is leaving TVD for a reason and it's likely because she thought with Nina gone that Bamon would for sure be given a go but as it turns out that didn't happen.

I agree with you, especially the bolded part, because despite everything there were large chunks of the season that had very little Bamon of ANY kind when Candice was around. I remember having a conversation with a Bamon shipper during last Summer's hiatus who was trying to convince me that Bamon were going to happen for sure. I remember how sure she was to the point where she actually said I was being delusional about DE continuing beyond the first few episodes and that I should prepare myself for the disintegration of DE in the same way SE was dismantled. I told her SHE was the one setting herself up for monumental disappointment and she would only have herself to blame if she believed the hype. The problem with this anti DE fandom (Stelena's) is that they have never believed in the DE story, they watched a different show and they still are and after 7 seasons of listening to their utter stupidity, i've come to the conclusion they will never understand this show or Damon. It's their loss, hence why they are so bitter and angry.
