The Bamon fans are trolling the Benzo fans with talk of Kat disliking Michael Malarkey........ Obviously not true if you watch any of the footage from the Convention last weekend. It would seem it's just more of the same with shippers s*** stirring and creating drama from thin air. @doppelganger- I agree, there definitely was some tension and bitterness between Nian, I think they were both very sad for quite a while and I believe there were some attempts or an attempt at a reconciliation that did not work out, which probably just ended up drawing out the hurt so to speak. Ian's 180 on Delena coincides very much with his relationship with Nikki and I suspect there was some tension between the women. Just to be clear, i'm not saying any of this is Nikki's fault, just that the timing of all this angst and drama fits with Ian's change in attitude. Yeah true but if I put myself in Nikki's shoes, especially if there seemed to still be some emotional attachment I could see how she would want all that drama to end so they could get on with their relationship together. It's never easy to be the girl that came after something like that and it her case it was compounded by the fans being so nasty to her about it. I gotta hand it to her, she's a brave woman to stick in there. I was afraid Ian would be single until the end of TVD cause all the women would be chased off. For the record, I don't hate Nikki. I would call myself neutral. While I was a Nian fan that is unusual for me to care about the love life of a celebrity and now I really don't care either way, staying out of it emotionally. There was just something about Nian that seemed special to me, but I guess THAT didn't work out...lol...real life!

In my opinion it's a bit hard for me to not raise an eyebrow at Ian's 180 that he did regarding his views of Delena/Elena vs Bamon/Bonnie especially if there were no hard feelings and he did the breaking up in the end. Then it feels like it should be easier for him to be able to separate fiction from reality to treat Delena and the Elena character as the fictional entities that they are instead of bringing up his marriage when people were asking about a Delena marriage in the end or why he would push for Bamon so hard after the breakup and said plenty of things during the course of the season that sounded absurd and was even posted and called out in here for some of the things said. And this isn't me pointing fingers and trying to play the blame game on who did what. I don't follow any of these actors outside of the show so I'm not 'team' anyone or care which one broke up with the other first. All I know is basing it off of things said at cons, article interviews etc. I find the behavior odd that suddenly Delena was talked in a more negative light/ignored by Ian than normal. I'm sure fans would come to the same speculations if Nina was still on board and suddenly she was talking about how great Stelena and Stefan was for Elena's character and hoped they would get back together in the end then they would feel that she was still upset over the break up and didn't want to act any scenes with Ian or something. These are things fans will pick up especially if it's so sudden and out of the blue. If anything there's the possibility of stunt doubles as was spotted in season 6, but I don't see Ian suddenly leaving the show before the end to avoid a Delena scene, that wouldn't make sense anyways so I doubt that. This is just a last resort by Bamons who know it's over for their ship but they still want one last one up over the Delena fans. I think a lot of his sourness comes from the fact that the Nina fans have been so brutal to him and Nikki and him mentioning his marriage is a way to hint that his real life is separate from the fiction that is TVD even though it came off weirdly. I don't think it's because he hates Nina necessarily but he sure doesn't like her fans right now and the way they treat him and Nikki so maybe in his mind, they would go away if DE were really over. I don't think they will go away until TVD is over though or maybe not even then! So I can't really say that it's personal toward Nina. It might be, but it's more likely it's because of the way the fans have treated him that he has become more anti DE. That's my thinking on it anyway. It doesn't really matter who broke up with who anyway. It may matter how they treated each other afterwards but that we'll never know. It was pretty obvious, to me anyway, that there were hard feelings despite what either of them said and I do think Nina's departure whether by choice or not, was because of the difficulty working together post breakup. I mean would that be easy? Hell no! However, again, we will never know anything for sure unless someone does a 'tell all' after the fact. I still think that they could both work together for a few episodes to wrap the series up. I would think enough time has passed and they are both professional enough to manage that. Heck there's even been rumors that Nina might be back for more of season 8. If I ever believed that they were incapable of working together than I would be disappointed in the both of them for ever dating in the first place cause this is what happens! I would also have to conclude that our end game would not be what we want it to be because they'd balk at any major DE scenes happening so I have to believe that they are both on board for it no matter what they might feel about each other. It's kind of unfortunate that the more extreme fans who go out of there way to make trouble end up shaping the picture of DE fans as a whole. Especially when there's so many categories/groups of different factions. Though that is the internet for you, fans can say what they want behind a mask while fans that he greets in real life at cons will be more tame in comparison, I doubt anyone would have the actual guts to run up and diss him and Nikki in the name of DE. Though this goes beyond ships and fandoms anyways, females always have the tendency of getting attacked as the girlfriend of said male celebrity through the rabid fangirls who like to claim a celebrity as theirs.

I honestly wouldn't have been as patient as he has been before. It's only recently that he's been more blunt and ya know, just cause you watch a show and buy a few dvds doesn't give you any rights to harass people. Seriously...where are the boundaries with some of these people? Were they raised in caves? I don't agree with what some of these people do. It's OK to not be OK with his choices but to get all vocal about it with him and/or Nikki is just going too far. I also don't agree with the other side demanding that DEs that don't agree need to tell them off. No, we don't. It isn't our responsibility just because we ship the same people. What I do is block them so I don't have to see their hate but it isn't my job to police the DE fandom and I won't do it. If I was involved in a conversation and it turned that way, of course I'd let them know I don't agree with it but no, I'm not going to be the DE watchdog and hunt down the offenders to tell them off. Isn't that also just as bad? I think Ian and Nikki do a pretty good job of killing them with kindness instead.

Haha I like the part about the network being afraid of their chemistry, some Bamons do make up contrived reasons like that for why the CW/JP won't let Bamon get together lol.

He said some crap about why he thought they wouldn't let it happen, not like it was a fact or anything but since when do BDs care about facts? And Ian is known to say some bonehead things where he implies things that aren't factual as well...and then he always has to retract them.

Wow, really? This is really frustrating to me because it keeps being the thing some of these BDs keep basing everything on rather than the merit of their couple. I hate to tell you but feeling differently about things is what makes the world go around. It doesn't automatically equal racism and that is just an ignorant thing to even say. Now all the Delena fans are 'subconsciously' racist because they don't like Bonnie or the pairing. I don't like Stefan either. What does that mean? That I hate men, too? I mean this is really getting so out of hand and ridiculous. They are just going way too far and insulting an entire fan group, many of whom are not actually white. I wonder what they think about that. If they think somehow they are going to change anyone's mind about liking BD or Bonnie they would be wrong because it has nothing to do with her being of mixed race. I know we've already talked about this but this particular post is even more out there with the accusations. Now it's everyone who ships DE. Maybe it's because they've really got nothing they can stick to us but something there is no way we or they can prove. They never want to talk about the actual merits of their couple, that's for sure, because there are none. So instead they accuse DEs of racism, something that has nothing to do with the actual merits of the couple in question.
effingtallgirl Delena fans’ racism and their White privilege.
In my opinion, any Delena fan who says “I’m not racist” IS A RACIST. Even if a Delena fan is not outwardly or openly racist, they can still be quietly or subconsciously racist. There’s “loud racism” and there’s “quiet racism”. And the way I see it and the way that I always will see it, is that the vast majority of Delena fans (not all) are prejudiced and racist, whether outwardly or quietly. It doesn’t matter, Delena fans are all the same to me. When I look at the vast majority of the Delena fan base, I just see a hateful, prejudiced, ignorant and racist group of people. I see a bunch of immature White girls who have White privilege and love to play the victim/victim card whenever they get called out for their prejudice, their bigotry and their racist tendencies and attitudes. I’m 100% certain that these White girls who are Delena fans have never experienced a single racist encounter or moment in their lives. Their White privilege is so far up their f***ing asses that they are so ignorant and lack self awareness.
Now, as someone who is a White-passing POC (a mixed/bi-racial/multiracial young woman with pale white skin, green eyes and light brown hair who was born to a Multiracial Hispanic [mixed with Black, White, Native Indian American, and Asian] light brown-skinned, black and curly-haired, brown-eyed WOC and an ultra white pale skinned [pasty white], dirty blond/light brown-haired, blue-eyed White/Caucasian man), at least I have the self awareness to admit that I have White-passing privilege within society. I’m not afraid to acknowledge that I have more privileges than the majority of other POC and non-White passing POC. But just because I have White passing privilege (a privilege that I never asked for in the first place yet do understand and acknowledge), does that give me a right to put down or discriminate against other POC, POC actors/actresses, or POC characters? Does that give me the right to be ignorant and prejudice against other POC? Does my White-passing privilege grant me the right or the luxury to use/of using racial slurs and epithets towards other POC, whether in real life or fiction? Does my White-skinned privilege afford me the right to call POC female characters, such as Iris West (The Flash) and Bonnie Bennett (The Vampire Diaries), the N-word or other racial slurs for African-Americans? Does it give me the privilege of thinking my opinion, my views or my beliefs are more valued and important than other POC’s opinions, views or beliefs? THE ANSWER IS NO. So, the question is if I, as a White-passing POC, don’t discriminate against other POC (such as using racist and prejudiced language, slurs and epithets towards POC), what makes Delena fans who are White girls with White privilege think that they are allowed or entitled to discriminate against POC at all?
Just because White Delena fans have White privilege within society does NOT grant them the right to be racist and prejudice against POC and be ignorant regarding interracial relationships. Every time Delena fans say “I’m not racist”, I never believe them. Because it is obviously that they are not being true to themselves. I would rather these Delena fans just admit that they have racist tendencies when they make excuses regarding Bonnie and Bamon. I wish Delena fans would admit their racism and acknowledge their racist tendencies when they make comments such as “I don’t like Bonnie, she is annoying”, or “Bamon have no chemistry”, or “Bonnie needs to die”, or “Damon would never see Bonnie romantically” and then have the nerve to say “I’M NOT RACIST”. YES, Delena fans, if you make comments like that, then it is more than likely that you are racist and prejudiced, whether it is subconsciously or openly. These White girls who are Delena fans need to grow up, stop with the “White Woman Syndrome” and victimizing themselves when they get called out for the bad behaviour, acknowledge and admit their racist tendencies and ignorance towards POC/interracial relationships and most of all, acknowledge their WHITE PRIVILEGE. I acknowledge my White-passing privilege, but do most White girls who ship Delena do the same? NO.

Now here's where they are backwards:
I wish Delena fans would admit their racism and acknowledge their racist tendencies when they make comments such as “I don’t like Bonnie, she is annoying”, or “Bamon have no chemistry”, or “Bonnie needs to die”, or “Damon would never see Bonnie romantically” and then have the nerve to say “I’M NOT RACIST”
So they're basically saying if you don't like Bonnie or think Bamon have chemistry, boom you're a racist. Is that really how you're determining whether someone is racist or not? Cause we're not fond of a couple in a TV show lol. And why are they only using this argument on Delena fans? Oh right cause Damon's in this couple. This person probably doesn't even care about this issue outside of her ships Bamon and with the Iris mention, Westallen. Bonenzo says hi anyways which some DEs happen to like or don't mind. Some Bamons ship SE anyways cause it's convenient for their ship. Most of the 'I'm not racist' remarks are probably said in retaliation to being called racist in the first place by Bamons.

Yeah Kat Graham has always been a fan of Bamon but Ian has never really been such a loud/strong advocate of it until recently. So having the 'king' of your ship suddenly being all enthusiastic and talking about how great the dynamics is and how Bonnie's character is this and that without mentioning his character's relationship with Elena or Delena so it made it seem like he was over it and ready to try with Bamon. Then his comments with having to get Bonnie drunk or Bamon sleeping on Elena's coffin helped to just fuel this train more. Even Paul was in on it in the beginning as well (before the whole 'Rejected!' thing. He talked about Bamon witchpire babies and would 'He He ha' with Ian in their banter over Elena's character and her influence of the brothers. It's opinion with no influence on the show of course but you're talking about a fandom who'll latch onto anything to make their ship seem authentic. A lot of Bamons probably figured that JP would give Bamon a try since both actors were on board with it. Even more so since Ian is the fan favorite character/actor that JP might just give in to his insistence to a romantic Bamon storyline as well.

Unless Ian is an impetuous spoiled rotten actor I highly doubt he is demanding Bamon happen romantically. I think that he wanted to work with Kat more and doesn't want to work with Nina. Anyone can get that, but what they do with BD is totally up to the writers and unless he never wants to get a job again he's not going to start getting demanding on the stories they write. He talks alot of s*** at these cons and sometimes it seems like he's trying to rile up the fans with it for whatever reason or maybe he's blissfully unaware of what he creates by doing it, but I doubt it since the fans are plenty vocal with their dislike of him ignoring Elena's existence and Damon's obvious love for her. At the end of the day, though, he is just an actor and his opinions mean squat to the actual story being written just like Nina's didn't when she said she wanted Elena to ditch both brothers and be single at the series end. They don't write it. They can have an opinion but it means nothing. Only the fans seem to want to make it mean something.

The BDs better enjoy the 'fiction' that Ian spews cause that's as close as they are gonna get to having an actual canon ship.

So am I still racist if I don't like Stelena as a pairing? What's my excuse for not liking two white people together? Well, I guess it doesn't matter because I'm racist no matter what, lol.

telltaletv.com/2016/05/vote-for-your-favorites-the-2016-tell-tale-tv-awards-final-round/4/So there's this Tell Tale TV website doing a poll, I don't know this site and how big it is, but under the list for favorite couple in a Sci-fi/fantasy series, the couple they're using to rep TVD is Damon and Bonnie. What's this couple doing along side ships such as Oliver and Felicity from Arrow, Iris and Barry from the Flash or Emma and Hook from Once Upon a Time? Bamon were never romantic physically or had any romantic feelings towards one another mutual or otherwise.. I'm so tired of them putting Bamon on these lists as if it's the ship of TVD. It's certainly an embarassment for it to be standing alongside these other ships. What's funny is that you know Bamons have already got word of this poll as Bamon is beating out Arrow and the Flash, and is running toe to toe with Clark and Lexa from the 100. Clexa has 48% while Bamon is at 45%. The number of votes in this poll already equal to over 500k in total and Bamon has up to 200k votes already like they're obviously getting help or voting like their life depends on it. Bamon is the only couple on this poll so there's no competition against SE or anything so they can get their help to beat out Clexa since that's a very popular ship from the 100. Whenever Bamon does happen to go up against another TVD ship, their results are always incredibly bad, not able to get a foot in the door. A couple that has real merits and is popular in the fandom can consistently pull off the same votes and wins in polls. Not one poll have like 10% and then another suddenly make it all the way to the final round.

They've been told all this before and seem to just want to ignore it. I have wondered myself how they could want both characters to be so 'out of character' that they would do that to Elena, let alone the fact that Damon waited 140 years to reunite with Katherine and having him give up on her with Elena still alive and well would be ridiculous. But they don't care about 'facts.' They only care about the pretties together. Their reasons for shipping are illogical and based upon nothing but possibly revenge (ie the Stelenas who pose as Bamons), a desire for the black woman to win the white male lead of the show away from the white female lead of the show (they've said as much enough times that it is an obvious motivation and they are obsessed with race), hatred for Elena (sure seen plenty of that from BD fans) and possibly boredom with the lack of romance on the show. I have not been shown any real reason to ship them other than the above from these so called fans. I say, so called, because I feel like if they really 'stanned' these characters they would never want them together as a couple. They are casual fans at best with no real vested interest in the continuity of these characters. They simply don't care that it would be 'ooc' for Bamon to happen. That is my take on why they ignore the facts about their ship.
Dear Bamon shippers,
stydiasdelena:
I don’t mean to insult you with what I’m about to say, but I have to say this.
I understand that you ship Bamon and want it to happen romantically, and I get how desperate people can get when looking for signs of romance in their ships, but you need to take a step back and look at this logically.
They were building up and working on Delena since season 1. Delena was a big part of forming who both Elena and Damon are today. Damon does not love and will never fall in love with anyone other than Elena. Romantic!Bamon has been rejected (on video) by Paul Wesley and even Caroline Dries. If you guys even slightly know Damon as a character, and even Bonnie, you would be able to realise that Damon waited for Katherine, who he barely loved in compared to his love for Elena, for years on end, only giving up when she rudely told him she never loved him. Bonnie 1) loves Enzo, and 2) would never hook up with Damon, as he and Elena are both her best FRIENDS and she has morals. Damon and Bonnie are loyal people. Hence why if you know them as well as you think you do, you would be able to see that Damon would wait forever and more for Elena. He gets her back in 60 years, he can wait that much and longer for the love of his life. And as for Bon Bon, she would shame anyone who went after their best friends man, let alone be that person herself.
Okay? Ace.
