So seriously with this episode?? I think JP likes doing these things on purpose. No happy endings for anyone! Dahlia is stupid powerful and she handled Aiden like it was nothing.
When she so quickly found Hope - and was talking to Hailey at the doorway, I thought to myself, does Haley really think she can take her? Hybrid or not, that witch is powerful. I'd almost think that she could take Hope right now but it wouldn't be as much fun for her lol.
I hate that they took Klaus out - and the pain in his eyes - too much. I know he's done it to every one of them but still. He had a plan and considering he's like the "Damon" of TO - i.e. The one with all the plans - it was probably a good one but no one heard him out! And I'm still sketched out by Freya, something's not sitting right there. Who is she to give ultimatums of whose side they should be on? Freya, you just hopped into town 2 months ago, and they've been sticking it through with Klaus for a thousand years!
I knew Klaus was going to take the blame and I was like"no!" . I can't believe they all bought it without a second thought. Cami saw right through his act though and I'm glad he told someone the truth.

I know right JP is the angst Queen and it's crazy sometimes lol. At least in TO it doesn't quite hit as hard since I just go with the flow as far as what the show throws at us with no high expectations as I hold with TVD. On another note I do love that the truth did get out and how Klaus put it with Cami knowing the truth that no one will believe. So it'll be interesting to see what Cami does next. Oh and Aiden, so that's his name! It's kind of bad that two seasons in and I still don't know some of these side characters names. I even forget Josh's from time to time, called him Jake and my cousin was like, 'Who's Jake?' lol. Also is Vincent dead? Did I miss something? Or did he just happen not to be in that episode? Cause I thought he survived along with Marcel from that mind thing. Again could be an episode where he's just not the focus at the moment. Also sometimes I forget Hayley is a hybrid. Keep thinking of her as a wolf for some reason. Dahlia does seem quite the powerful witch, rightfully so given her backstory. It seems like only Freya would be able to match her magic wise and she doesn't seem that trustworthy. Also I agree that last shot of Klaus seeing his family and then Freya's emotionless face as he gets dagger'd was sad.

I've gotta say, although I'm not as hard on the ships/characters in TO as I am in TVD, this show is really unpredictable. Am I correct in saying that some of the TVD writers went to TO? TVD gives us a few things we can't predict, like Lily turned Enzo, but I feel like most of it is predictable and kind of ho hum lately. TO on the other hand, when I think it will be one thing, something completely different happens. TVD is pretty straight forward with knowing who to trust, but with TO, I'm so confused!
Anyways, just had to throw out those comparisons because I feel like on a writing and creativity level, TO has a leg up imo.
Well, I was wrong (as was Klaus) that no one would believe he didn't kill Aidan, but maybe if he had denied it to begin with they would have a harder time believing it. Now that he's back, he's going to go on a rampage.
I find myself getting nervous for people in TO, and who is trustworthy is a question that I can't answer. Normally as viewers we can say, "don't fall for that he's playing you!", but I have no idea who's on team good guy anymore, lol. Now we have more back story of Dahlia and why she wants Hope, but I still don't think the whole story has come out yet. No way she's completely doing this because of good intentions. I'm worried for Klaus now because he's going on a rager 1) because of what Dahlia just told him and 2) because Haley just took off with his kid! I think Dahlia is using Klaus (the biggest threat they had against her) to do her dirty work to get Hope back.
Should Divina trust Vincent? What's he up to? Are we going to get Kol back?
Should we trust Freya? I'm so confused, lol.

You're right in regards to the observation about the writing. JP had taken it under herself to take some of the best writers from TVD to go over to TO, most notably Michael Narducci. If you go back and see the episodes he's written for TVD, he's been apart most of all the greatest DE episodes.
It's something that a lot of fans have talked about in regards to JP kinda putting TVD on the backburner, a second priority as she just cherry picks what she wants as far as actors or writers for her other shows. She sacrificed all of TVD season 4 to build up towards TO etc. TVD once had the same quality TO has now, JP just doesn't care for it as much anymore.
But I agree with what you've said. TO is certainly the finale I'm looking forward to the most if I'm putting these shows side by side. It's not predictable in the slightest as you said, it's hard to know what to expect, who to trust, who will get away, who will die. You just don't know! TVD on the other hand has gotten rather predictable and it's such a shame.

Okay im behind on Orginals (I watch it via dvd after) and TVD by a few episodes But i just thought of something.
Jeremy is leaving to go to art school + Elena is leaving and people on here i saw say she took a cure. So ..... could they go to TO?
Jeremy - Why : New Orleans seems a very artistic and creative city even since the first originals episodes. Wouldn't it make perfect sense if that is where Jeremy goes to art school?
Benefit : on TVD he is always Elena's little brother. No matter what he does. I feel in the Originals he could be seen based on his merits I mean he was/is a pretty great vampire hunter.
------
Elena - Why : Cure makes her human right? Klaus needed human Elena's blood to make more hybrids, yes he has baby for it but I kind of think he'd take the chance to make more
Benefit : On TVD she's always mostly just a love interest i'd like to see her get back to been the good character she once was. If she left TVD cause Nina and Ian broke up and its hard there ..... no Ian! we could see her acting great again. She benefits , we do and people who only care about ships not story then they can cross over and keep your ship!

Boy that would sure feel like a punch in the gut to TVD fans though. JP does have a tendency to grab some of the good actors from TVD for her TO pet project. It's so annoying and has really been to the detriment of TVD.

I could see feeling like that though I feel spin offs tend to do that as Buffy lost Angel + Cordillera to do the Angel spin-off (at later wes) but if the main cast is strong theres no loss. Like if Kevin had stayed + Ian & Nina had not split up i think TVD would still be strong

That would be an interesting way to bring Jeremy back into the fold. He would be the only "hunter" in NOLA, so he could have more of a storyline. Not sure I'd want to see Elena go there too if he went, because then he'd be reduced to "Elena's little brother" pretty quickly again. I watch the AfterBuzz TO and TVD podcasts, and they had Michael Narducci guest on the TO one this week. They asked him about crossovers (mainly for the ships), but he said that they are two different shows with different problems going on, not to mention the schedules of the actors themselves, so it is hard for them to incorporate certain things like that at this point. When TO first started and they were branching it off of TVD, it was easier. He also said he doesn't write for ships, lol, he writes for characters. [He said] Flash and Arrow are easy because they are friends so they can visit their buddies then head back home, but for ships (like Klaroline, for instance), a one or two episode crossover visit would not be enough to satisfy the fans. They would either have to break them up or have some other reason why they can't be together. OK, I went off on a slightly different tangent So it's harder for them to do crossovers, but I wouldn't mind seeing Jeremy there with a whole new mission, but in Nina's case, I wonder if she is also trying to break away from the "Elena Gilbert" persona altogether.

Oh i didnt think both but one or the other Jeremy as I want to see him more and Elena was just because how does it make sense that she's human and klaus just lets her go without trying to make his army lol

Did Micheal Narducci say the 'Like Klaroline, for instance' part or was that just an example you were giving? lol
But well if he did, it's funny he should mention Klaroline, and I guess it's cause he or the writing staff of TO get bombarded with angry KC fans who want Caroline to crossover for Klaroline.
Obviously doing a crossover for a fanservice ship moment is bad as it's just random and nothing to do with the plot. He gave the example of Arrow with the friends and stuff, well they can do that with TVD too. Stefan is friends with Klaus and Damon and Klaus have also teamed up on TVD before. They brought Tyler over to fit in his revenge plot. So it doesn't have to always just be about ships, especially since the only context that works in is Klaroline, there are no other characters on TVD who were in a relationship with someone on TO.
Obviously the example about the scheduling issues might be more of the real problem which I hope that's the reason they aren't doing crossovers other than the 'ship' reason. Cause Bonnie could also cross over to interact with the witches, learn a new spell and head back. (They could have done that to make her learn the spell to undo compulsion from Dahvina and then used it on Elena). There's just so many things I can come up with for why certain characters would cross over that has more to do than satisfying the pairing fans.
Though hearing Narducci talk about how he writes for characters makes me wish he never left! Again season 3 all the episodes written by him had been some of our greatest DE moments, the raw and in character ones. I know he was a DE fan at heart despite him saying he doesn't write for ships (maybe he's talking about just TO lol) otherwise that's some coincidence on how he just happened to be writing for the DE centered episodes lol.

Well, they specifically asked him about Klaroline and ships - really, like you said, that is the only ship that would cross over. But then they spoke about crossovers in general and he did bring up the Tyler thing and said they brought him over because it worked at the time, they used it to clarify what was going on with the wolves and his relationship with Klaus. Once they did it, they thought it was satisfied. Yes, I find myself saying things like that a lot, comparing the two shows and wondering how the other witches could help on TVD and vice versa. That memory wipe thing was a big issue, like Davina could undo it (or as you said teach Bonnie), or Klaus could come compel her since he's an Original. But I'm thinking it is just a scheduling thing and perhaps making it seamless and organic as well. I thought he was probably a DE too, but maybe he's just a good writer, lol!

Oh and yes, I think they still get a lot of Klaroline fans giving them gruff, lol.

I thought he was probably a DE too, but maybe he's just a good writer, lol! lol yep which why it sucks that we lost him! That was the funny thing with TVD, you could always gauge how good an ep 'would' be by the writer. Michael Narducci always had good episodes. His first debut TVD episode was 3x05's the 'Reckoning'. That's the episode where Damon leaves town with Katherine and crazy Klaus shenanigans happen back in Mystic: Stefan being compelled by Klaus to attack Elena, using Elena's blood for hybrids, Tyler getting turned to Hybrid by Klaus, Matt dying to talk to Vicki and putting his hands in Bonnie to bring him back (an episode where Bonnie wasn't just a plot device for magic) and of course the ending scene where Damon takes Elena from the hospital and we get one of the greatest DE moments, 'Where were you Damon?' 'I promise I'll never leave you again.'
So yeah you can see how saddened I was of the fact that Michael Narducci was being cherry picked for TO. He was just a quality writer overall and you could always expect his episodes to be good!

Like we said last week, you never know who's going to die next, lol! Another one bites the dust (Gia). But this episode tho! OMG, no words. I saw NONE of that coming. I am terrible at predicting this show, haha. But it was an amazing episode and the finale next week should be awesome. Claire is back! Not sure if just for the finale but it will be great to see her nonetheless.
I love how everyone thinks they can take on Klaus - those wolves (who are like 30 years old) all thought they could take on THE 1000 year old hybrid? Do we remember when he was captured by the vampires and weakened and he STILL kicked all of their a**es! What he did to Haley and her pack - so if they are cursed by the crescent moon are they going to stay like that? At least for a while huh? Or maybe until they kill Dahlia.
Bekah, killing herself, I didn't see that coming. Then I thought, wait, if she's trying to go back to her original body does that mean we'll see Claire again or will they re-cast...guess I got my answer. Maybe if she is not staying they will just write her off into the sunset like they did originally (before she came back to take care of Hope).
I'm not sure what is going on with the witches, went over my head a little, maybe I'll have to re-watch that part. So is Davina like the "witch leader" now?

Haha yep that episode, I couldn't even begin to predict half of what took place and unlike with TVD where you just know, 'Oh they're not going to die.' with TO it's a completely different feeling cause you really just don't know.
Though speaking of deaths, since the reveal from Cami told us that Klaus had everything planned and he just had to make the show look real and whatnot. Is Gia really dead? Cause her burning corpse certainly looked real lol. And the thing with the Hayley's pack, again before the reveal of knowing it was all for show, isn't what he did irreversible? Like he can't snap his fingers and suddenly things are back to normal since Dahlia was being real and trying to kill them.
So he managed to trick Dahlia and all in protection of Hope but the things he did to get to that result, it just seems like he just garnered himself even more enemies and will be even less trustworthy in their eyes. No way Jackson is taking any of that laying down. And will Hayley just forgive him because it was all to protect Hope? That's the question.
And I'm not sure if Freya is really dead or what happened to her. I also didn't quite get what was happening with Davina and the witches. One thing we can be certain of is that she's getting another grand power boost.
As for Rebekah, I was really surprised that she'll be returning to her original body so soon. Especially after the effort of the writers going out of their way to have her say she's not leaving that body till Kol is back and then until the kids were saved. Maybe Claire is going to be sticking around for much longer than we think otherwise why bring her back so soon when they had the perfect setup to keep her in that other body?
Though I have been feeling lately that Rebekah in Eva's body was feeling less and less like Rebekah. Like the writing for her character just didn't feel the same. She always had that strong feminist vibe and was a go getter that got things done herself (the earlier eps where she was stuck in that house showcased this) but as the episodes wore on the writers just seemed to make Rebekah's character slip more into the background and she was more of a follower and less of the 'mouthy' Rebekah we know her to be as. She was a bit forgettable. So hopefully since Claire Holt resume her role as Rebekah can sort of restore that feeling.
