This conversation has gotten OFF TOPIC LOL
LOL I'm at home sick today so thanks guys for making me laugh. Yes, I second the fact that IF (and that is a very strong only if) Nina has broken bridges or there are contracts in place that she can't come back to help finish what she started with Elena and Damon, AND they decide they want to eventually pair Damon up with someone else - let's say ratings start to creep up and they renew for yet another season or 2 - IF it is done organically and it is not one of Elena's best friends that was bad mouthing him the entire time DE were together, then I could deal with him moving on. But again that is with no hope in sight of DE happy ending and they decide to pair him up. I don't see a problem with him spending all of season 7 alone. Even if Elena ends up breaking his heart and squashing DE forever. Does he have to be with anyone? Honestly, if it's not Elena, I think he'd be more fun if he were alone.

Yeah I mean the news of Nina's depature had some fans with party gifs as they cheered on the end of Delena and coming Bamon but to me it's like wait so why does Damon have to all of a sudden be with Bonnie? Like can't he just be single? I'm not much of a Bonnie fan but I'd think I'd want better for a favorite character of mine than for them to be an obvious rebound.
These characters don't exist in a vacuum. Bonnie knows that Damon loves Elena more than anything. I don't see Bonnie throwing herself at Damon, playing second fiddle. If Damon is suddenly all about her, flirting with her romantically out of nowhere, I'd like to think she'd be smart enough to know that she's only getting attention from Damon because Elena is suddenly not in the picture and I certainly don't see her walking up to Damon being all, 'Well... now that Elena's gone...' or 'I've always loved you but Elena was just in the way! Preventing my love for you!' yeah... to me it'd be laughable and cheap writing and just seems really out of character for the both of them.
But the writers could always do that if they don't care how OOC they are *shrugs*.

Who knows if they care about the integrity of the show anymore, last season is season 7 probably so no worries about renewal.

I am not a Stelena, but how are Stefan and Elena going to say good-bye if he is without his humanity? And Caroline/Elena? Are these loose ends that also need to be wrapped up before Nina exits? It seems to me that the reason they have thrown Stelenas a few bones this season (Elena picking up Stefan's photo and Elena saying she had two epic loves) are because they knew Nina was leaving. Am curious about how they have that SL end... i am def not a stelena fan i am delena all the way i just like stefans character over damons (sometimes when hes not a bitch) hahah jks but its all over now anyway stefan remained a badass for a good 0.5 of a second. i'm gonna have to take back what i said i will continue to watch and yes that includes season 7. Yolo

I'm leaning more toward NOT still unless the finale gives me a reason to keep watching.

So if they end Delena satisfactorily or leave it for the future of perhaps getting back together again will any of you that said you would stop watching, keep watching? We know Elena won't be back on our screens full time anymore nor DE but Damon will still be there. If it is left with those two still madly in love (which I can't imagine them just stopping) but separated for now, will you keep watching?

Yes I can see myself watching if they still manage to keep Delena's relationship in tact and not just make it suddenly disappear. I can do without Delena on my screen if I know it's being honored in some way and not completely ignored by the characters. The one thing I can't stand to watch is OOC writing and characters. As one of the theories suggested I like the idea of the flashforward containing future DE and then season 7 retelling of how they got to that point. Elena doesn't even have to show up since we'll know that they do get to a point like that eventually. So it all depends on if the writers just want to suddenly pretend like their biggest relationship on the show suddenly doesn't exist anymore cause that makes no sense.

It all hangs on how it ends for me. I just don't know, I'll have to see how I feel after the finale.

Yeah I think it's pretty critical to their future fanbase that they not end Delena but keep it going with Elena elsewhere for the time being and a flash forward to when they are together again. It's not really No Elena No TVD for me as much as it is No Delena No TVD because I don't want to see Damon move on in any way and I don't want to see him miserable or with his emotions off either. None of those options are acceptable. As long as she is alive somewhere and still loves Damon than I may keep watching.

Because at this point, none of the things that I hoped were going to happen are going to happen anymore, no matter what. So it's really just a matter of how they manage to make me feel in the end. Crossing my fingers, but I just don't know.

I kind of feel like everything's hanging on this 'flash forward' for me, which is bad cause it's like putting all my eggs in one basket and so far we don't even know if this flash forward will even contain DE (it was described as a 'non-Elena' spoiler) or be used in the scenario/context that I'm thinking of.

I forgot what the question was but it said something along the lines of, Well here's a non-Elena spoiler. Remember when I asked the question, 'Ah man if it's a non Elena spoiler then does that mean we can't hope for the time skip to have Delena in it?'
I'm trying to look for it now but it might take a while since it's a chore in itself lol.

There was this: not sure if it was the same thing but it sounds familiar.... "Do you have any scoop on how Elena exits The Vampire Diaries? — Tej TPTB are staying very tightlipped on how that’s going down, but when I asked for a non-Elena spoiler for the season finale, I got a very interesting response: “The season ends with a flash forward,” executive producer Julie Plec tells me. “The show’s not cut yet, so by the time I’m done with it, it might not, but currently it does.” Dun. Dun. Duuuuun." www.ew.com/article/2015/04/17/spoiler-room-scoop-vampire-diaries-supernatural-blacklist-and-more
