KW is probably just feeding into the SE cheerleading about what an SE fan he is. Delena is what made that show. If there hadn't been Delena, I still believe the show would not have made it past Season 1. Stelena was always cheesy and unwatchable.

If there hadn't been Delena, I still believe the show would not have made it past Season 1. Stelena was always cheesy and unwatchable. Which sucks cause it only adds fuel to the SE fire and now they'll forever use the excuse that DE was a consololation prize or only happened cause Nina left. Not that it hold water cause the development is there, but it's annoying when you think SE would receive the final nail in the coffin, only for them to get special scenes like Stefan's goodbye, Elena being grateful and thanking him for everything, and then KW coming out with this crap. Because SE actually did talk and have a moving scene vs Delena which didn't get any scenes at all so they still feel as if they 'won' despite not getting the endgame. It's annoying that they've been given a bone at all, it feels like we can never just have DE without some disclaimer happening in the background lol. It's also a bit frustrating reading these post finale interviews and having them be asked about Delena's endgame and then start saying things like, 'Oh yeah! Those two lived a happy life together, Damon rebuild the Gilbert house, and maybe they raised their kids in Tribeca before coming back to Mystic Falls!" Like you're saying all this stuff about DE's life yet you couldn't bother to show us? They clearly have to fill in the blanks but it's dumb that the entire premise of the show, the triangle, was just an afterthought and not given a proper epilogue. |

Yeah, but I really don't care what SErs think. SE was always a contrived couple that was just thrown together. It was so lame The only reason Stefan stalked Elena in the first place was because she looked like Katherine. He lied to her from Day 1.
I'm just disappointed that viewers did not get the finale that we deserved.
Now, that I think about it. I hate Bonnie's ending as well. Traveling the world alone is not a happy ending. Not that I care about Bonnie but she should have just died when she took on the hellfire and then joined Enzo. Then they wouldn't have had that stupid pothole of her suddenly being able to just wake Elena.
Delena were really the only couple that got a happy ending, even if the couple did not get the scenes they deserved and viewers did pay-off they deserved. Because of that, I'll just write the finale off completely. I doubt I'll ever watch past Season 4 again. Maybe some Delena scenes, but maybe not. I HATED the season 6 Elena mind erase and still do.

It'd be one thing if SErs were saying this out of salt, but they're saying this because JP/KW gave them that bone in interviews to use against us. I think had DE got the proposal and rebuilding Gilbert house scenes (and whatever else may have been deleted) it really would have been the icing on the cake. Of course hate might be unavoidable, even with sticking to strictly DE tags/searches. DE is the only couple that got a happy ending and Damon has a big hate base so we're getting hate from pretty much all the shippers at this point lol. Either way DE is endgame and lived a long and happy life together so that's something that can't be taken from us. |

Does anybody really believe that they would have put SE back together again? I mean there is no way that ever could have happened with where we are in the story, not even at the beginning of this season. It's all fan service to the SEs and of course they are eating it up but it just could not ever happen. SE got their closure a long time ago and they'd both look so weak if that ever happened, especially with the whole doppelganger thing in the background. Please...the whole idea is laughable really so let the SEs feel better with thinking that could have happened. It didn't and it makes zero sense to think it ever could have.

And another thing putting SE back together contradicts YET ANOTHER interview of JP's. There's a reason why it took four full seasons before DE took off romantically. They never planned for there to be a back and JP continually made that hole deeper like Elena stating how she can't stop loving Damon, or how she completely fell apart at his death or how she said she only saw a future with him.
But man is it ever tiring seeing SEs get constantly thrown a bone, they just will not ever let SE be over. They talk as if Stefan hasn't married and proclaimed his love to Caroline. They talk in a vacuum as if the problem is simply getting Elena to get over Damon and love Stefan again. The DE reunion being made to be Kat just really shows how DE has been treated in a nutshell over the course of the show. DE went two seasons without scenes and the reunion that we've all been anticipating was ruined for no reason whatsoever. We can never be given something to enjoy. In the end, I'm at least grateful that we did get the endgame and that Damon and Elena lived a happy life together, but the most rewarding is just being done and over with this show and the fact that not only are we free, but Damon and Elena are as well and will be placed in the hands of fanfic writers who will treat them way better.

What happened to this scene? /photo/1 I forgot about that scene. I guess that may have been a DE scene after all and it was cut since they're the only ones who can fit the context now in hindsight. This picture was floating around as a likely deleted scene. Someone mentioned the scenery looks like the woods where they put stuff on Stefan's stone. So maybe it was filmed and once again cut. I also saw it mentioned that 18 min. of DE scenes was cut. But I don't know where they got that number from and if it's true and it also sounds like a bit much if they cut that much of DE's scenes and frankly getting a bit frustrating learning more of what was cut or told about DE's happy life after the fact.  |

Wait now that I think about it, was there any crying or funeral at all? All I remember is Caroline and Damon standing at Stefan's stone. Only had about 10 min. of screentime and she didn't even talk aside from voice over. They must have cut so many scenes.
