I really do think, all in all, they got this message across in the TV series as well as in the books. While Stelena had it's time and place it was Delena that was the deep abiding love that really meant everything to Elena and even as she denied it to herself, her soul knew it and couldn't deny it in the end: It's also telling that when LJ was fired and the ghostwriter took over, they had every intention to have Stelena as the main romance. Yet the final book has Damon and Elena ending up together. I'm not sure how crazy the ride is to get there, but it seems like over time even the ghostwriters felt that the connection between Damon and Elena wasn't something they could just write away and pretend never happened. |

Some things never change....found myself all sweaty palms when I saw a couple of clips got out from the finale that should have been two hours and not one...ugh...but I digress. Still looking for another one I read exists but here's this one. What a heartbreaker. It should have been in the damn finale instead of that mismash of lack of emotion disaster we got instead...argh I hope you all are doing well, post TVD.  |

So his is it. There will never be another new Delena scene. Disappointing that there was no Delena in the deleted scenes, but not surprising either. There was not near enough Delena in the finale as it was so I would be happy if they had actually cut filmed scenes, but I was still hoping for something.

So his is it. There will never be another new Delena scene. Disappointing that there was no Delena in the deleted scenes, but not surprising either. There was not near enough Delena in the finale as it was so I would be happy if they had actually cut filmed scenes, but I was still hoping for something. For me it's a bit of the opposite. Of course I did instantly play the video, hoping to see if there was a Delena scene deleted since we got so little in the finale. But that would have just made things a bit more aggravating. That despite the little DE scenes we did get, they decided to cut it out as an 'unnecessary' scene. Imagine if the proposal was there, or DE building back up the Gilbert house and living there, kids running around etc. Those scenes would be things that deserved to be shown during the actual airing of the episode (of course who am I kidding, still would be nice to see regardless I suppose lol). Though now we see, it wasn't that DE scenes got cut, they were never filmed in the first place. Just shows even more how much Ian really didn't want to act any romantic scenes with Nina and we got the bare minimum. Though that ship has sailed, bygones and all, of course when you've been following a show for eight years, it's hard not to think back every now and then and regret how it turned out in the end. |

So now that I finally renewed my Netflix subscription after what seems like years lol. It just hit me how awfully convenient it is now for me to rewatch some of the notable DE episodes without searching through endless links lol. First up is definitely 1x11. 4x06 is also on my list, I loved Stefan sending Damon to Elena and him throwing them both into the bridge to save her from the sunlight and the conversation on the bed as Elena grabs Damon's hand as she states how he saves her.
Of course I'll probably go in order instead of skipping back and forth between seasons like that lol. Hopefully my hate for Stefan doesn't flare up again as he was written so horribly back in the old seasons haha. Also if anyone else has any recommendations for some good DE eps, be my guest! I know I won't be able to remember them all, and some I may have to read the wiki to remember what the episode number was. Like the one episode where Elena throws a punch at Damon and he grabs her hand. My mind is thinking the episode titled 'Daddy Issues' but don't think so. 3x10 is also coming to mind which I think was called, 'The Sacrifice' or was that a season 2 title? I don't know lol, I'll see when I start scrolling through the eps.

Sorry guys but photobucket decided to hold all the pics ransom that were stored on their site for free before so pretty much all the links are broken to pics I had used for this site, thus the background change but I guess it hardly matters anymore! I'm glad to see a few of you still checking in on the board. I'd hate to see it die.  I haven't really been keeping up on much TVD related. Saw that Ian and Nikki are having a baby. I wonder how he's enjoying the silence these days. It's feast or famine and he should've enjoyed the feast when he had it. Ian who? Sorry, but that's how Hollywood goes especially when you start behaving ungrateful for the attention and admiration AND you're close to turning 40...yup, he's pretty much done for soon so he should have been a whole lot more grateful for what brought him the fame and the $ in the first place. But that's just my bitter opinion as a 'robbed' Delena fan. They both make me mad how petty it all seemed at the end and I don't know who to blame or if they are both to blame and here I thought they were better than that. Shows what I know! We got our Delena ending but it was pretty lackluster and bittersweet after hanging in there all these years. Anyway, catching up on other shows I have neglected is never a bad thing! |

I wouldn't have known that if you hadn't mentioned it, as you said I haven't been seeing much buzz around Ian as far as where I've been venturing on tumblr/twitter. Ian did make that comment about moving out to somewhere and never been heard of from again lol. Speaking of the cast, I'm not sure what projects they're currently pursuing. I know I saw Nina in a trailer called Flatliners. I think it's ironic that her character had a moment in the trailer where it looked as if she was going to die by drowning similar to her Elena character haha. I also saw a mention on tumblr, but not sure how old, that Paul Wesley was directing a Shadow Hunters episode or something. Kat Graham will likely just go the musical career route, even though I don't see her really blowing up into a big star like how Ariana Grande did going from Nickelodeon Victorious star and transition straight into a hit pop star. Candice might take a bit of time off with her family before jumping back into acting. Either way, it's likely Ian who will have the harder time considering the way he conducted himself was pretty much notorious and the Nian and Nikki drama was everywhere in headlines. That'd be a huge turnoff to potential employers especially when it comes to romance scenes (Nikki comes off extremely jealous in this regard) and Ian not being able to use his sex appeal especially to recreate another relationship that could blow up with fans like how Delena did will also just be another negative, they'd choose someone who'll create less drama. But like you mentioned, Ian does feel kind of done as far as his acting goes. Other options would be to devote full time into his foundation or resume being a model and do commercials or something. |

That explains it, it seems they let a few months to themselves for a bit before revealing the news to fans later, so Ian being off the radar for a bit to celebrate/relish in the news of a baby makes sense. They'll likely opt to keep the baby of the gender a surprise to the eventual birth as most parents do, I think it'd be pretty cute to see a girl with Ian's genes lol. |

That's something! Thinking of Nina hearing that song and instantly thinking DE certainly brings the 'feels' even more. It shows the difference in how Nina can easily keep fiction and reality separate. Though sucks that the reunion in question couldn't have been better than what we got. Imagine that song with a reunion similar to the Kat fake out. |

So for anyone still keeping up with the Originals or not lol. I saw this spoiler pop up on my twitter dash.  I'll say it now, I'm pretty sure this boy will be 'Damon-esque' knowing JP and turn this couple into a Delena-lite. She's always took some elements from Delena and spread them amongst the TO couples. Though the main reason why I posted this is that some people were also speculating whether this boy was Damon and Elena's son, whether a fake spoiler is circulating around saying that it is or not. But I doubt it, it wouldn't make sense given that would mean their child died and turned. Though I wouldn't put it past JP to reference TVD in some way. It's not as if the characters are dead yet in the current timeline, well aside from Stefan of course. Heck, maybe we could see Damon and Elena's kids show up in the show, they wouldn't necessarily need Ian or Nina there to do that. Maybe they find a draw to the supernatural (despite their parents being human and maybe not going into details about their vampire lives). I don't know I just want to see what a Delena kid looks like lol. |
