I actually agree that S1 Stefan was him trying very hard to be his best self--- in a way being unrealistic in his expectations for himself.... and we saw it backfire when he went a little blood crazy... not only everything that he has gone through last season and this change him, but I think that he will come to terms that he can't be that person and hopefully Elena will come to terms with that as well.

Yes, that and figuring out how to handle the blood better and he'd have made some decent changes for himself and beaten the ripper. It would be nice if Stefan could be sure he wouldn't lose it if he drank some human blood for his own peace of mind more than anything else. |

Thats where I disagree. I feel at the time, it was a true represention of who Stefan is and wants to be. If he doesn't want to feed on humans and have his humanity. I think thats fine. I don't think it's not real. It's a choice. If he want's to fight the darkness in him, why can't he? I'm not saying he can't find a medium. But if he want's to be that, why not?
[/color][/quote] I've seen that quote. But, I've also seen them say pretty much the opposite. I was just saying I feel that was a true representation of Stefan. Just because he was like that a long time. I know not everyones going to agree with me. I do think he's too hard on himself and expects too much of himself, but thats something I like about him. |

I know not everyones going to agree with me.[/quote] I agree that all of his personality traits was "him" he was not pretending to be anyone else, his morals, everything was all Stefan. I just think that it was also not the whole picture... and I am excited to see his character evolve from the circumstances. Does that make sense? He was abandoning his past as if it was not a part of him. Now we see Stefan past and present and I think the combination will be an even better Stefan. |

I agree that all of his personality traits was "him" he was not pretending to be anyone else...his morals... everything was all Stefan. I just think that it was also no the whole picture... and I am excited to see his character evolve from the circumstances. Does that make sense? He was abandoning his past as if it was not a part of him. Now we see Stefan past and present and I think the combination will be an even better Stefan. Exactly. Maybe I'm not saying it right. I don't think Stefan was lying or faking about who he was at the time. |

I wanted this debate forum but I don't want to debate SE DE in general... hahahaha I want to debate some actions taken by the brothers or Elena that directly affect the triangle. I think at the end of the day we all have our reasons for loving our brother with our dark haired lady but both brothers are not good nor evil. No one wears the good brother crown and no one wears the bad brother crown.
Damon is a closeted emotional roller coaster and Stefan is a closeted addict! those are their demons. Both make them real and flawed!Neither a good nor bad just FLAWED!
